Driven past this place many times, and with few traditional Fish & Chips takeaways in the local area thought I’d give this a try. Ordered 2x Fish and Chips for £12.90, which is reasonable value, nice and good portion of chips, however the fish was a very sad sight, small and paper thin with very little white meat on. Sorry to say I wouldn’t visit again, in my opinion customers would pay a little extra for a better piece of fish.

Ordered fish chips and peas for the family . The food was freshly fried. The chips were delicious and the fish was lovely and fresh. Lots of salt and vinegar with mushy peas . A delicious weekend treat.

Ordered 2 large chips and the potions were like mini potion absolutely disgusting for the price. Will never order from here again

I don know how this place stays open , “nobody in” should have been the warning. You can only get away with Yesterday’s chips if you warm them up to yesterday’s temperature (hot). As the smiling girl who served me chips and gravy the Fryer Tuck, put some fresh chips in the pile but she still managed to give me the older ones from the back. My friend said his fish was ok but at least that was fresh. Either stop at the one at Bastwell or keep driving to Brownhill chippy. If you have to stop here for food get pies or fish, if you feel you’re to early for today’s chips

Fish and chips quite good but the owner is really a miserable guy and in these days of covid and everyone trying to do the best they can by using cards he clearly will only take cash. Not for me thank you. Won't be returning any time soon.

Would be a good chippy, however as others have said, the portion sizes are a complete joke. Ordered a chip barm today which literally had about 8 chips on it, I asked for a few more to be told that it's a 'child's chips' and met with hostility from who I can only assume is the owner (old miserable guy behind the counter). It's clearly a regular complaint from customers, just put a few more chips on. Unbelievable, I definitely won't be going again!

Food is lovely but have to say abit on the expensive side considering the portion sizes, however the staff are friendly and the food is always up to a high standard.

Guy behind the counter frying, miserable as sin, turned the lights off while I was still waiting for my food as I was the last customer. Just ignorant really and the portions are pretty stinge and is nothing special. I've been a customer for years but enough is enough. Girls behind the counter are lovely and work a hard shift, if it wasn't for them it would be like entering a morgue

Wow. Never in my life have I seen a more stingy portion. Seriously the smallest portion ever. Stop being so tight! Absolute joke. You would double your turnover if you have decent portions. Try smiling too. Costs nothing.

My mother who has lived in the area for years raves about this place, but I have to be honest it was very small portion the fish was not Cod and when I asked what it was the staff didn’t know !! I will not be using ever again

Fish and chips like they used to taste. Brilliant! There is no cafe just take away. I go there and drive home as quickly as possible ( safely) to ensure they are still hot. Truly an oasis in today’s scene. Their opening hours suit me also.

ONe of the best chippys in blackburn, we used to go weekly but had to stop as they don't do gluten free for my mum so we had to change to one that did.Owners very friendly and organised everything spotless and always fresh

One of the very best chip shops in Blackburn, the food is always fresh and tasty. Well worth waiting a few minutes for your order to be ready.

Not a bad chippy with good well cooked food. It's a little overpriced and I think the portions are quite small but my biggest gripe with this place is the amount of time I've spent in here waiting for food to be cooked...they never have anything ready (apart from sausage) and it really is frustrating.

The quality of the food varies it can be good to below average not consistant The staff are always pleasant although the owner does not always interact with the customers

Me & my girlfriend made the effort to walk to this chippy because the food is usually good. We also waited outside for 10 minutes until it opened. We originally ordered 2 scampi and chips but we were 50p short so changed the order otherwise we would have had to draw £10 out for the sake of 50p. We were then told by the elderly man who cooks the food that he'd already put enough scampi in for 2 while we tried to explain we changed our order with the young girls behind the till he then replied with 'ooooh you don't have enough money do you' sarcastically in front of other customers. he then refused to serve us because of the inconvenience we had apparently caused , told the young girls to give us our money back and to never return again. We were so shocked and also slightly embarrassed that we just left. We definitely won't be coming back EVER again and my family also who uses this chippy often won't be returning either. Sort your staff out!!!!!!!

Pedimos fritas tarta. Después de 2 a 3 picaduras, me di cuenta de que había carne. fui a una tienda diciendo el hecho de que era un musulmán y que si había carne en el pastel que debería haber sido informado. El hombre detrás del mostrador comenzó argumentando diciendo iv tenía tres cuartas partes de ella, cuando literalmente sólo tenía unas cuantas picaduras y que pedi y sólo hicieron fritas fritas y carne, así que me la dió. Debería haber avisado que solo venden carne y fritas en vez de asumir que es lo que quería. no tengo disculpa alguna de ellas. Voy a tomar esto más

Ordered large chips, gravy and jumbo sausage from here and it was really nice. The staff were friendly and quick with my order. There's also plenty of parking on the street

The staff are always friendly but the food can be hit and missIf the chips are freshly cooked they are good but very often they have been left keeping warm Visits are now reduced only go if on the last minute

Fish n chips worth waiting for. Lovely food, cooked well, plenty of variety, children's meal boxes. Pies, steak pudding, freshly cooked chips, buttered tea cakes, cans and bottles of fizzy drinks.

Been going years and never disappoints!Decent portions, fresh fish and batter, lovely tasty curry sauce and chips to die for...all you need and more from a Chippy.Won't go anywhere else and that includes Blackpool!
