Unfortunately the service today was poor. Had to wait a while just for someone to come and take us to our table. Then a long wait for someone to come to take our order. An hour after we arrived we finally got our food. The food was good and we enjoyed our meal. This has been the worse delay that I have had to suffer.

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional experience I had at your West Bridgford branch on Sunday evening. From start to finish, my visit was marked by outstanding service, attention to detail, and a clear commitment to maintaining high standards. The ambience of the establishment was warm and inviting, with impeccable cleanliness throughout the premises, from the floors and countertops to the kitchen area. The staff on duty, despite it being a Sunday eveningâa time when many young people might prefer to be elsewhereâdemonstrated professionalism, friendliness, and an impressive work ethic. The young lady who served me was cheerful, efficient, and extremely helpful, providing options and processing my order seamlessly. The food itself was excellent: fresh, well-cooked, and presented with care. The eco-friendly packaging and the availability of utensils and condiments for customer use further enhanced the experience. I would like to commend your team for the improvements made since my last visit. On that occasion, I had a positive experience overall but noted a few marginal differences that I felt could be improved upon. It might one day make the difference in their career progression, opening doors to future opportunities. Previous review. Pleasant frontages with good parking at the time I went. Thoroughly clean and staff very polite and business like. However I'm not sure if my experience was an aberration but it was not very appetizing. The chips were obviously stale and over cooked and dry. I suspect they had been reheated. The fish batter was dry and probably for the same reason. I used to run a chip shop and I know that when it's quiet, (which it's was) it's difficult keeping food available for extended periods before making a decision to dispose of products that have reasonably expired. However that decision has to be taken to protect your reputation. It's more valuable than attempting to sell a below standard product. However I'm confident that this was the exception and not the rule. I usually avoid a quiet chip shop for this reason. Hence my seemingly"negative review" is intended in context. The business excelled in every other measure and we'll done for that. Hoping my next visit will see this weakness corrected. All the best. JJ. Update. Thanks for the professional response. Business is a dynamic experience and the one way to deminish the possibility of a negative experience is to constantly strive to get it right every time and if something slips through the net then focus on why and cheerfully focus on it. My friend and I stayed over for 1 night on Friday 25th October,we stayed in a twin room !!! I can not fault the staff ! This review isnât about the staff who were absolutely brilliant ,and professional! Canât fault the beds they were comfy and clean bedding ! The thing that is wrong with this place is itâs tired and it needs an absolute overhaul ,the bathroom,has mould around the bath a leaking shower head ! the bathroom door was stiff and made a dreadful noise when opening and closing it ! The net curtain looked like they had been in a tumble drier and were so crumpled !!!!!The actual curtains were not hung correctly,crumbling paint on the windows ,dreadful condensation !!!! We always sleep with the window open ! The cleaning regime is very lacking !!! The television was absolutely filthy,dust everywhere,not pleasant at all ! Never again !

Lovely ladies who serve customers. Portion sizes have got noticeably smaller and hygiene is pretty gross. Food on clothes (no apron worn) has gone into my chips before and I've seen them wipe down the chip scoop from the night before with a paper towel before using it.

We hosted our wedding at the Waterside in June 2024 - it was a lovely & fun day for all, largely due to the help of our wedding coordinator Tiff! She went above & beyond to help me have a picturesque & fun day, I didn't have to worry about the setup or the breakdown - she even saved one of my wedding donuts for me when I never got a chance to have one during the night :) The reason for the loss of a star for the rooms is purely because the honeymoon suite lacked a mini fridge >> which I think would have been really helpful as we had several leftovers + wine we wanted to keep chilled. The loss of the star for service was due to some miscommunication between the hotel bookings & the event coordination, (i.e. after we had paid our deposit, someone on the booking side at the hotel had "force booked" several rooms for the day of the wedding for another guest/party, including the honeymoon suite) - which my husband spoke to the manager about & thankfully they resolved before the day.

I Have not been for about three years and it was an anniversary dinner for my cousin . I don't know if its change hands ,but it was terrible . the wine we ordered of the menu was not available but no-one told us that they just brougt a bottle which was disgusting which they did replace . I had Lobster thremdor it wasn't endible all are food was loop warm ,and the tables every thing stuck to them . we live localy and will never go there again . to sum it up overrated and over priced .

One of the best experiences of eating out weâve had ever! The food was perfection. I had the king prawn linguine- full of flavour and I could have eaten the whole dish again despite being happily full. My husband had the steak frites! Which he also said was one of the best meals heâs ever had out! We are regular foodies and have been to the most exquisite fine dining, Michelins star restaurants nationally and globally and dick and Wills was a new gem we have discovered. It will be hard to eat anywhere else when frequenting salcombe after finding dick and wills! Oh and the cocktails⊠outstanding! I have finally found my drink⊠l highly recommend the lychee martini if u like sweet cocktails. Go enjoy dick and wills - youâre welcome! đ

Definitely a favourite of ours. GeeWhites serves delicious freshly prepared food right on the seafront - personal favourites include the chicken burger, fish & chips and beef burger đ They have stunning views of Swanage bay and a good selection of seating space, itâs a great spot to relax and watch the world go by - especially with a hot chocolate with âall the goodiesâ in hand! We find them very reasonably priced and staff always provide great customer service, even during extremely busy times. Would definitely recommend :)
