Great service and good. First time ordering from here, simply after reading the reviews. My gluten free fish batter was the best I’ve had!

Went today (15th) for a birthday lunch, got there a few minutes early. The starters were very good the Salmon wrapped in Nori and the Prawn tempura but there was then a 40 minute wait between the starters being cleared away and the mains arriving. Despite the table next to us who were still having their starters when ours was cleared away getting their mains, including the Sea Bass the same main I had requested!!! The Sea Bass was enjoyable but the Haddock was very thin. After finishing the mains nobody approached us, so I ended up going to the till to pay the bill mentioning what had happened.

I was surprised by the reviews on here. The poor reviews were definitely not our experience. We booked in advance and requested a table with a view, which was kindly honoured. The gentleman who seated us was charming. We did have a bit of a wait for a menu but it was a busy lunch service. We all ordered the fish and chips. The portion was huge with a very tasty piece of lightly battered fish and twice cooked chips. None of us managed to finish everything! The dessert menu included pancakes (it was Shrove Tuesday) so we shared two portions with lemon and sugar. Again, generous portions! All in all, a great lunch and we left very full.

Queens did an order of 106 meals for a ceilidh last night. The food arrived hot , with the gluten free and vegetarian clearly labelled,. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. What an impressive thing to pull off. I recommend them highly .

The location is outstanding. The food is mediocre at a horrendous price. This is not what one would recommend. We're not going back there, and as I understand from friends, they're not doing so either. Go to Carlton Hill, take in the view, and then eat somewhere nice....

Fantastic dinner here. The food was amazing and the service friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our birthday dinner here. The waitress was brilliant. The atmosphere was relaxed. There were plenty of options for vegetarian or vegan alternatives.

Great food and great prices, all cooked to order (so you don't mind waiting 10mins) lovely chips very fresh.

Very good fish and chip shop, fresh fish with a light batter and it’s always a good sign when you have to wait for it to cooked
