Excellent! Portions were immense and the fish quality was great. Highly recommend. Was there when busier and everything was fresh.

Visited for the first time in a long time and we had some very good chips! Generous portions and delicious battered sausages too. Clean, fresh and well fried food.

Visit around once a month and always happy with quality of food, fish is crisp and chips are delicious. Portions are generous too. We live closer to other F&C shops so the fact we go further to come here speaks for itself.

Fish was cooked OK, however, chips were soggy. A normal chippy. Tried to come along before on a Monday at 19.30 as Google said it was open til 20.00 only to find it closed.

A small fish and chips takeaway shop on Debenham High Street. Consistently friendly staff and a decent portion of fish and chips. Crisp batter, chips just right.

The only good point was there was no que I now know why over cooked fish soggy chips and inedible curry sauce .Dont waste your time drive into Eye if you like decent fish and chips .

We had food from here tonight and can’t praise the fish enough. It was huge with crispy batter and the chips were lovely too. How ever the quality of the chicken fillet burger and nuggets are really poor. Both more like something you would get from McDonald’s although McDonald’s better! If it’s fish you want go for it but skip the “chicken”

Lovely local chippy, right in the centre of the village opposite the church. The fish in particular is really good - fresh and a crisp, light batter. They do all the standard chippy options too. Phone ahead to order and they'll give you an order number and pick up time, or there's plenty of room to wait outside for social distancing if you're ordering on the hoof.

Good cod. Ordenary chips. Overall it's my local chippy. can't go wrong. Pukka pies sausage in batter. All you need from the chippy.

Been a couple times not at peak times but I would say from my expereince they make the chips little and often which keeps wastage down. Fresh good portions and a reasonable price. Overall not much more to say

Really fancied just a bag of chips. Used this place many times in the past but not recently. Their spring rolls used to be to die for. Got my chips and went home. They were undercooked, soggy and the oil was used a few times too many. Chucked them even though I was mega-hungry. Disappointed.

Service was good but food very average and considering it was supposed to be freshly cooked it was only lukes warm and very greasy. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Grabbed a quick takeaway with the family and was ok however an item was missed off our order, the food we receive was good though!

My husband and I had fish and chips from here whilst on holiday. It was so good we did it twice!The fish was the best I’ve had in a long time. Wish we lived closer as we’d be back more often.The opening hours were 5-8pm I think, so worth checking before you expect them to still be open later.

Staff are always really friendly, food is good, prices average. Very popular, which speaks volumes about standards.

Great fish and chips well worth a stop. Not too greasy, good and hot chips, plenty of salt and vinegar.

I have to say that the fish and chips here are excellent and the portion size is pretty impressive to satisfy even the largest appetite, there was not a single complaint from the nine of us and we were unanimous in our opinion that these were some of the best fish and chips we had ever had.

We recently moved to the area and discovered our nearest chippy was Debenham and thank goodness it's delicious!! All the staff are friendly and competent.. Highly recommend the battered cod/haddock/scampi/sausage/nuggets & chips!!(not all at once mind you!) Decent prices,clean surroundings.

Only fish and chip shop for miles - good variety. But needs to clean oil and filters more frequently . Average pricing, average food.

Staying on holiday in the local area and had this fish and chip shop recommended we weren't disappointed. Prompt and friendly service . Food was hot and lovely thank you. We will visit again when we are in the area again.

Used this chip shop several times. Consistent on the big portions but every time you wish the food was not so drenched in oil.

Hemos usado este Fish and Chips por al menos 5 años y siempre ha sido excelente. Sin embargo, aparecimos en la última noche y la comida no podía haber sido más diferente a la habitual. Las patatas fritas eran pasada y parecía como si hubiera frito en aceite sucio, aunque sabía bien. Sin embargo, la mayor sorpresa fue el tamaño de la porción de chip, que era alrededor de la mitad de lo que normalmente era. Ahora los peces - el bateador era preciosa y dorada y crujiente, pero el pescado en sí era muy seco/deshidratados y por lo tanto muy duro. Parece como si hubiera sido probablemente congelado demasiado tiempo. Además, sospecho que no fue el que pedí, abadejo como los copos grandes copos parecía cod peces. En general, la experiencia fue muy decepcionante, ya que siempre he tenido excelente comida previamente, tanto que creo que merece la pena los 8 km en coche para ir. Sin embargo, en esta muestra probablemente ahora busque en otro sitio, ya que hay otros buenos pescados y chip tiendas más cerca de casa.

Have used this takeaway for 3 years now and never had a bad experience. Fish often cooked as you wait and portions are large.

I had never heard of battered pizza before so decided to try iton our return from Southwold. They had sold out. I still got mybatter hit from a vegie burger that the owner very kindly friedfor me. My Husband had the very large cod and chips, it wasall very delicious.

Freshly cooked on demand, succulent meaty cod and crispy batter and nice chunky chips and generous portions. What more could you ask for? It's piping hot as you wait while it is cooked for you and it's great value.

We ordered sausages/fish cake and chips for 10 children attending our sons party. It's not our local chip shop so we did not know what to expect. We recieved fantastic service, the food was all cooked ready for us and was portioned up and wrapped once we arrived.Delicious food for a reasonable price. Defo recommend.

Coming here for many years when visiting relatives in the village. A Friday night ritual. Always great service and massive portions.

We visit here when in the locality usually a few times a year. This visit was lovely. The chips may not be to everyones liking but we found them very nice and the flavour was outstanding. The fish portion was huge & very fresh tasting. Very pleased we used this fish and chip shop.

Have visited here a few times when on holiday & found the food to be very nice. The chips maybe a little soggy for some but personally I never found this to be the case and rather enjoyed and the fish was very fresh and tasty.

the men behind the counter gave me extra secret sauce when I did not ask for it so I beat the s*I* out of him whit my c*c*

Since moving to Debenham in 2014, we've used this shop regularly and think it provides the best fish and chips we've tasted.

For a village chippy this piace is great. Friendly staff, sensible prices and they're happy to take telephone ordes to save you waiting.

Been coming here a few times a year on our holidays. This time I arrived late, 8.30pm so just before closing. The place was full of flies all over the ceiling. We'd been stuck in traffic for 4 hours so decided just to chance it. The fish was huge but chips and fish were in a thick, orange pool of grease. Time for us to go elsewhere

me and my partner was on holiday and decided to give this place a try , The fish and chips were extremely greasy and also appears that the oil has not been changed for a long time which made us very ill will never use again

This shop is now clean and modern with excellent friendly service.The fish is really good crispy batter and fresh tasting fish. The chips can on occasion be a bit greasy/ soggy but usually good.Staff are efficient helpful and friendly. A little pricey but portions are very good and they have regular opening hours. Definitely give them a try!

A little expensive, but really good large haddock. Apparently changed hands last year and totally refurbished.
