Ordered the house special chow main, very tasty, good price, shame it was 90% noodles

Only takes cash, can’t imagine tax man sees much! That all said the Fish & Chips were very tasty!

Excellent food, friendly staff. This is a takeaway in a side street from n Bramford Well worth checking out if you live in the area. We ordered Chinese so can't vouch for the fish and chips.

Not tried the food yet but the service was appalling, left to stand in the shop and ignored when walked in whilst dealing with big fish order, could easily have checked who I was, then after 5 minutes of this nonsense, they discovered that I only had card (also ridiculous they don’t accept) and so I had to go and get cash out which I could have been doing whilst she faffed around with other order. Will not be using again.

First time coming here, ordered online, absolutely loved it! Generous portions and perfect price, I come from Claydon so I’ll definitely make this my go to place

Quick and friendly service. Food always excellent.

We ordered a variety of Chinese and English meals. Good portions cooked well and still nice and hot when we got home. My only gripe was everything seemed to lack seasoning and flavour and the rice was mushy. The jury is still out on this one.

Of all the Chinese takeaway's in Ipswich, this one is by far the best, and practically on par with China Town in London.

Overall it is a nice Chinese takeaway and fish bar but a couple of times it has been closed when it should of been open with no explanation. Maybe they should have a website so they can let people know. Other than that they are very friendly, reasonably priced and very flavoursome.

Let me start by saying the lady that works there is lovely and very friendly, this cannot be said for the owners. I purchased the Family meal deal 2 x reg cod, 2 x sausage , a FAMILY portion of chips and a curry sauce for £14. On arrival home I opened the bag up to find what I would describe as a small portion of chips. I called the lovely lady and showed her. The manager was the lady who did my order and assured me It was a LARGE portion. The meal deal says FAMILY portion which I assumed was bigger than a large otherwise it should just say large. It wasn’t enough for one person let alone four. Whilst waiting, I worked out the meal deal is actually more expensive than buying everything individually if it is a large chips and pointed this out, she was then rude abrupt that I had worked it out. Sounds abit petty but by the time I got home the fish was cold. I won’t go back.

The best Chinise food in East Anglia and always great service . Give it a try and the the fish bar is of the same high quality .

Got home after a full days manual labour, wanted fish and chips so we called here as its local. Chips overcooked, dark brown colour, rubbery fish with no flavour. Didn't eat it, went straight in the bin and called a proper chip shop. Ordered here a few times over the years and it can be hit and miss so will not be ordering again.

Our first time but it definitely won't be our last time. Great flavour, decent portions, good price and friendly service - what more would I want? King prawn with ginger and spring onions was especially good, as were the vegetarian vermicelli noodles. The crispy duck was tender and wonderful. We will return, perhaps to see if the fish and chips are as good...

We love coming here when we're around visiting family. The lady who serves us is eccentric and fun and always makes the visit easy. We always order lots of tofu and it's always good.

Used to be good but the fish is getting smaller and smaller. Had a regular cod last week felt ripped off and because its smaller its overcooked!

We've been going here for fish and chips for a long while. Fish is always cooked fresh while you wait. Very good value and very tasty. Can't comment on the Chinese takeaway.

I’m disappointed, I used this place regularly and found the food good. I noticed there wasn’t a hygiene rating displayed and looked it up. It has only had one star for the last couple of years. Although I’ve had no problems, it is off putting and I wouldn’t risk my family’s health going back.

I have been eating their food from their 'vegetarian' menu for some time now, only to find out that it's cooked in the same oil as the meat products, so it's not vegetarian! It's marked on their menu as being vegetarian and it isn't stated anywhere in the menu that it's cooked in the same fryer alongside meat. I did bring this matter to the attention of a member of staff and was told that they prefer to offer their services to 'normal' people and that most people wouldn't mind. This may not seem important to them but is devastating for a vegetarian! They have plenty of 'so called' vegetarian options on their menu and this is deliberately misleading.

If you're vegi or vegan don't go here as even vegi dishes are cooked in same oil as meat. They don't want to change this as they said, "We prefer to cater for 'normal' people". So vegi or vegans are not normal!

Having used this Chinese takeaway for several years tonight's meal was disgusting. Having ordered crispy duck pancakes OK the duck was not shredded but it was so overcooked it gave crispy a whole new meaning. The pancakes were all stuck together so you could not get a whole one just strips of pancake. Ordered with this with mushroom fried rice after 2 mouthfuls this was binned it had the most awful overpowering taste of being cooked in a very cheap oil sadly will not be going here again fortune cookie Norwich road reccommended or will stick to China garden in needham market.

Whilst usually of excellent quality, tonights large haddock was quite thin and encrusted with excess batter and over cooked. The chips were re-heats from lunchtime and were also overcooked as a result. Admitted it was only 20 minutes after opening but not up to the usual standard. Hopefully an isolated incident.

Takeaway ONLY establishment. Never been let down. Food always taste good & fresh. Staff efficient and helpful happy to chop & change orders to suit.

Arrived for opening at 5pm and was second customer in the door. Ordered 2 haddock, 1 rock, 1 chicken breast, sausage and chips. The waiting area just kept filling up as more and more people came to order fish and chips! Took around 10 minutes and was all cooked fresh. Got home and dished up. Enough chips to fish 10 adults! All tasted lovely. Will definitely go again.

Best Chinese around. Always go to them even though a 15minute drive away. Highly recommend. Really friendly staff, really good prices and if not everyone likes Chinese can always get chip shop food too!

Never had a bad Chinese from here. Really lovely food and the portion sizes are good. I guess the only thing which would make a difference would be if they accepted card payments.

Never had a bad takeaway from here. Chinese is the best around. Fish and chips are lush as they know how to cook chips properly and the Code is always meaty and not mush when you bite into it. Best thing is its open on a Sunday unlike our local fish and chip shop.

Superb chip shop . I can only comment on the fish and chips here because that's all we've tried so far.The fish is excellent,always freshly caught,the chips are the best I've tasted . I always go out of my to visit because it's worth it.5 stars from me

Although not very close to my home village, this take-away Chinese food is worth the drive. I haven't tried their fish & chips but the Chinese stuff is very tasty, if a little predictable, and always hot and ready in very quick time. The staff are also particularly friendly and helpful. On one occasion I found myself a little short on cash (they don't take cards). They actually offered to waive the shortfall but I would not hear of that and managed to find the difference in my car - but what wonderful service!

Brilliant addition to the village. The traditional fish and chips is excellent and the chinese menu remains delicious. The service is enthusiastic, friendly and efficient. Well done and congratulations to all who have make it continue to be so good.

The food is cooked to order, generous portions of beautiful white fish, with so may chips, unable to eat them all. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to please. The shop is clean and inviting. We have sampled the Chinese food here and it is of a high standard too, very tasty. Congratulations to the owners

Hemos estado aquí un par de veces, primero nos dieron uno de nuestros pedidos malo pero cambió rápidamente cuando llamamos. Segunda vez, orden era justo en y la comida era muy buena. Después nos trasladamos a la zona hace un año estábamos todavía volver a Ipswich para comida china, sin embargo, hemos encontrado este tesoro y sin duda es nuestro nuevo 'local'

We've got a takeaway here a couple of times now, and the food has been constantly good (especially the squid!). You get decent quantities too, at a very reasonable price. Would definitely use again.

Really good fresh fish cooked to your order. Good family bargain package and really cheap. Chinese is really fantastic and great to have such choice of food places in this small village.
