I asked for a chip butty and got the response- I can do you a chip cob! I replied well it s the same thing . How rude I thought . I asked for bap , butty , cob whatever you want to call it could I have it buttered and was told no . I said well it wasn’t a problem before. The reply was I’ve been away . I mean really what has that got to do with it I thought . Very rude Person serving . I certainly will not be back again . You can stuff your cobs were the sun don’t shine !

No, no , no ... it's changed hands and wow.. I had to walk out, fish looks burnt to hell, so disappointing, used to be fantastic. As a local that lives within 500 metres I would warn anyone away, rubbish.

Cute little take away from a lovely family where the food and service is amazing. Massive portions very reasonable prices and quality food. Make sure to try their spicy cod,(yes spicy cod, i didnt know as well but these guys have done it its simply amazing) Keep up the good work guys and will definetly be back with family.

They have a sign saying they’re reopening on the 9th of August yet it’s one month later and still shut. What a shambles

We have been having fish and chips from here for years but last nights were very poor Chips were soggy and cold Fish was tiny and had a pink tinge to it. Batter was soggy Mush peas were like soup thin and watery All fo £14 No thanks

Food was prepared fast upon ordering portion sizes are decent and the staff are lovely

The best fish and chips I have ever had! We are staying for a family holiday and have waited all week for this. It did not disappoint. Great portions and value for money.

I am gluten intolerant, I really fancied fish and chips. I’ve been into the shop a few times, so I know I’m good with the chicken kebab. When I saw they were on just eat I thought great I’ll peruse the menu 😆 I saw steamed cod, I was so exited!! My excitement was not in vain!! The meal was exceptional, cooked to perfection . It was delicious…….. I am so happy 😁 thank you, thank you, thank you ♥️

Curry sauce and Chips £4.50. Tiny serving. Served my chips into the tray and asked if I wanted Salt n' vinegar. I said, Salt. Then lad proceeded to do other things and chores, eventually returning to me to ask if I wanted Salt n' vinegar.Then poured curry sauce over chips without offering the option of a tub. Not the nicest chips. The poor bloke before me wanted Hamburger and chips but they didn't have any in stock.

The last2 months chips are awful, fish is now very crunchy batter is this the oil? our family been using this shop for years, is it a new fryer? sorry to leave but you are nice people and you need to know, other people have noticed change as well.(also every thing looks very dry not how they used to be)

We're not local, just climbing and paddling along the south coast. After a long day on the sea, we decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips. The chips were golden and how chips should be. Phil was happy that he got to eat haddock, I went for cod. Both our meals were respectful portions. The staff are excellent: the girl on the till noticed that we had been overcharged, so gave us £4 back. We didn't realise, so thank you for your honesty x
