We called into the Black Lion in Aberaeron about 2:30 for some lunch. The two of us, plus our granddaughter and the dog. I asked if we were ok to bring the dog in and was told he was more that welcome. He got served before us as once we were seated they brought him a bowl of water!
We ordered drinks and food. The food was exceptional. (We asked for and was given a takeaway container to take what we didn't eat home, it was that nice.
We would 100% recommend going there, and will be visiting again ourselves. Very friendly and helpful staff (all three of the ones who we spoke to) 6 stars all the way as I can't give a 5 plus.
Me and my brother come and have breakfast here regularly. The food is excellent (sausages and bacon from a local butchers) and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The facilities are clean and the food hygiene rating is 5. The best cafe I've been to in years. Highly recommend
Stopped here for coffee. Place was empty, server looked miserable, unsmiling and didnt engage in any chat. Coffee was ok but the Mars Bar I ordered looked dull and grey when I opened it. Checked the date it, was over a year old and out of date.
It's always a pleasure to go the Lemans. The staff are friendly flexible and fun to talk to. Oh....and the foods good too!
I'd highly recommend a trip to Leman's its worth going just to meet the team!
Annwn is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys exceptional cuisine and intimate dining experiences. Matt Powell effortlessly blends top tier fine dining with Welsh traditions, all while sourcing the most local, farm-to-table ingredients you can get. We sadly did not do his foraging class prior to the meal, but really appreciate this element of the restaurant. Matt and Naomi are also extremely kind and welcoming. My husband and I have dined at many Michelin star restaurants in the UK and this open kitchen concept + Matt’s attentiveness throughout the meal made this experience truly special and one of the best we’ve ever had. 12/10 recommend. I’d make a trip to Wales just to eat here!
Called in yesterday after passing this Cafe for years. Ample parking. Tables outside at the front and a garden area to the rear. We sat inside though. Clean and friendly place (I know a member of staff). Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Will call again. Lovely cafe. Can get very busy.
Good food in a relaxed atmosphere above a local pub. He menu changes every month to a new “country”. So far I’ve tried Greek, Mexican and German. They were al excellent. Choice of three starters, three mains and three desserts. The food and the wine list are limited because the place is run by one, very talented, chef. The wines have all been delicious and each month they do a themed cocktail of the month. My wife assured me that these have been great as well. He restaurant opens Thursday to Sunday and I generally book via Facebook (you can phone as well)The food and wine are incredibly good value (£20 for three courses, £12-14 ish for the wine).Well worth seeking out
