The Crown in Brighton and Hove

Popped in here for a couple of drinks late on the Saturday of Pride weekend. Very friendly and welcoming place and a nice oasis from the bustle of the main weekend events.

Love this gem of a pub on St James/ Grafton street. Friendly and just fabulous to meet friends in and stay for cocktails. The owners in this evening, giving us a warm welcome. Nice to be back.

What a fabulous place. Quirky, great landlord, who made us laugh out loud lots. Loved it so much we returned a couple of hours later.

Amazing little pub , a hidden gem ! Anyone visiting the area really should seek out the fallen Angel , run by fantastic owners and a bar manager who makes everyone feel like family . A warm welcoming atmosphere and a great place to meet friends and make new ones.

Very warm atmosphere, friendly, “local” pub. Decor is great, slightly quirky but that’s what makes it so fun! Loved it!

Lovely little pub we went in that was near to our b and b. Must be popular with the locals as our host was also there that night. Great little friendly place that also allows in dogs.

Called in on a Saturday night, the drink choice was great and the staff behind the bar were really lovely and made us feel welcome. If your in the area make sure you call in. Thanks so much, we will be back again!!

If you visit one bar in Brighton, make it Fallen Angel on Grafton Street. Richard is a perfect host and makes a mean cocktail! This bar is small but perfectly formed and plays great music. Definitely worth a visit.

Cracking little pub, off the beaten track, but conveniently 2 mins from our B&B. Friendly service from Neil & Richard, with a bit of banter thrown in. Fabulous vibe and cracking 80s soundtrack the night we were in there. Drinks realistically priced too, which for Brighton has to be a bonus. We loved it in here

Would definitely recommend this place. Lots of locals go there. It's a teeny tiny bar but does great drinks, is friendly and the chairs in the lounge bar are REALLY comfortable !

What a great little find The Fallen Angel is. From the lovely, convivial bar manager & guy behind the bar, to the great ambience & interior inside, this is a charming one-off. So friendly & welcoming & loved the background music soundtrack too. This pub has something for everyone & reminds us of our days living in Amsterdam. Our only wish is that we could move it closer to home to replace the dreary chain pubs!

A gem of a find, an individual bar that I’d have as my local if I lived in Brighton. They have to be complimented on the comfy chairs, great choice of drinks and decor. Thumbs up

Great little bar, open late with delicious high quality cocktails and lovely service from the bartender who was friendly! Beautiful inside too. I would definitely recommend it for a small gathering or a catch up over a drink.

Found this little quirky bar accidentally & it was lovely inside friendly welcoming it was chucking it down outside & the barman gave us tissue to dry us down he made us laugh found a lovely comfortable seat

Cosy, welcoming, quirky, we were made to feel welcome by Richard and the locals, so went back twice. Definitely would recommend a visit.

If I were to design my perfect pub -it would be this. Came down to visit Brighton for the weekend and found this gem - fab barman, amazing cocktails and great atmosphere. Magic.

The cocktails were absolutely amazing. A big heads up for the Mai Tai and Espresso Martini. The vintage decor adds so much charm. And the bartender, Richard, made me feel so at home and welcomed. I will happily return. Thank you so much!

I visited with my girlfriend on Sunday evening, 7th October.The pub was fairly quiet.We got our drinks (a white wine and a baileys) and sat down.The atmosphere was so warm and friendly and the lady behind the bar was so welcoming to us. Some of the other people - I am sure everybody was a local - engaged us in happy and easy going conversation and we felt welcome and safe in a great environment.This is simply the best and was a wonderful end to our weekend - we will certainly be back as soon as possible.Thanks to EVERYBODY at the Crown for your welcome.

Fuimos a The Crown para mi copa de cumpleaños de la noche del 16/08/18 durante nuestra visita anual a Brighton. Nunca hemos estado en este pub antes. La decoración es muy bonita. Lamentablemente, la joven camarera estaba tan ocupada en su teléfono que los clientes esperaban mucho tiempo en el bar para que ella notara que estaban allí. No estaba ocupado, ya que era un jueves por la tarde, así que había quizás 10 - 12 personas dentro. Esto también le sucedió a mi esposa, que permanecía de pie en el bar como un wally, solo ella y una camarera sentadas en un taburete que se desplazaban por su teléfono y sonreían ante lo que estaba leyendo. Por mucho tiempo. Cuando finalmente notó a mi esposa, estaba tan distraída que tuvo que pedir el pedido dos veces y, sin embargo, en lugar de un refresco dietético sin hielo, ¡conseguí uno lleno de grasa con hielo! Todavía estaba usando su teléfono mientras tomaba nuestras bebidas: (tratamiento impactante para sus clientes: (Nos sentimos un poco molestos y por eso nos fuimos después de solo una bebida. A classic english pub with friendly staff and locals. Welcoming to all and somewhere we will go back to when next in Brighton.

Stopped in out of the rain, Great staff Good beer, clean basic welcoming pub to relax and read the paper while away the weather outside.

With a great selection of beers. Just the place for a quiet pint or two. Will definitely pop in again.

On a cold and wet December evening we found this cosy and warm haven serving excellent quality Harveys Beer just the ticket.
