What a fantastic restaurant. An incredible dining experience which I strongly recommend for those who love an evening savouring excellent food. Matt and Naomi focus on local sustainable food and create something magical. Enormous attention to detail and so much love, skill and hard work put into the meal. Thank you. I look forward to going again in different seasons

Unique experience. Fabulous food served with extraordinary dedication and attention to detail. A long evening seemed to pass very quickly and Matt's knowledge was encyclopaedic. Not sure where they find the stamina for such high standards.

Wow ....this is something really special ! From the minute you arrive , you know that you are there for a very different dining experience. The food is quite simply sublime, unique & incredible. This restaurant really needs to be experienced to be believed. This is a brave , fairly new restaurant in Narberth & we wish you both huge success.

Fabulous food and amazing attention to detail. The provenance of the ingredients was immaculate and Matt's calm and skillful presentation brought it all out to great effect. The Welsh wine was a great match for the food. I'm sure there will be a Michelin star before too long!

We booked the foraging day and dining experience for a special birthday. Dan, who took us on the foraging day, was extremely knowledgeable and he liaises with the restaurant so that he knows what is on the menu and ensures that he shows where the ingredients are found. You can taste a range of plants in the wild as you walk around. The restaurant (Annwn) is beautiful and spacious with an oak and slate decor, and you can watch Matt and Naomi as they prepare each course. Both are very friendly and welcoming. Matt explains exactly what is in each dish as it is served. We had 10 courses, every one was absolutely delicious and immaculately presented. I can't express enough how much we enjoyed the food and, being wild food (foraged), there were lots of new flavours to experience. There was Welsh wine available to buy, we really enjoyed the red wine that we chose and will be buying some to enjoy at home. Highly recommend and we will return in the future!

This was my third visit to Annwn but my first to their new location in Arberth. The food is EXCEPTIONAL, with the whole evening being not only satisfying but a gastronomic and visual experience. My favourite of the 10? 11? courses was the meadowsweet flavoured custard in an eggshell cup that offset the ‘Stack Rocks’ meringue, but the marvellous turbot main course pushed it close. I also loved the finale ( the only thing not completely sourced locally, namely cockle-shell moulded chocolates filled with lemony sea-buckthorn. I’d previosly had a superb lobster as main course, and next time I’ll go when sewin or hare is the main. Yes it’s expensive; but forva superb treat well worth it - they wellvdeserve their Michelin Star

Visited with my wife for her Birthday and because we were dying to see Matt & Naomi’s new place having loved dining with them at their previous location in Lawrenny. There are simply not enough superlatives to describe the food - every morsel of which has received the utmost care and attention to maximise the flavour of what is already the freshest, highest quality local produce. The significant thing that strikes you is that each item of this carefully curated seasonal menu is unique to Annwn to the extent that I believe I’m correct in saying that this is the only place in the world you will get to experience the extraordinary flavour of cured salt marsh lamb cured on site for at least 100days by Matt! The wine list is a showcase of Welsh (and British) wines - who could’ve thought that such excellent wine could be produced in aberaeron? The hospitality of both Matt & Naomi is second to none as you feel like guests in their home at an intimate dinner party rather than just customers and at £130pp for this tasting extravaganza it’s truly a bargain especially considering the warmth and generosity with which the food is presented - no photograph of a postage stamp of food here, the meal is as hearty as it’s intricate and tasty. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - give this place a Michelin star!

Bought a dining experience as a birthday gift and what an experience it was. Annwn is a small restaurant (8 diners on the evening we were there) Sampling a 10 course taster menu. You have a view into the kitchen area and it is fascinating to watch the care and attention lavished on each course. The food is based on local produce and resurrected old Welsh recipes. Much of the produce is foraged or home produced. Matt moves amongst you explaining the provenance of each dish and is happy to answer any questions. Wines ( which are not included ) all come from UK , many Welsh - who knew we had so many vineyards! Our evening lasted five hours in total so would advise staying locally. Definitely give it a go if you love delicious and unusual food with a twist, it was a great experience. For info , they also do packages where you can go foraging in the daytime and dine in the evening using your finds. Also recommend you book in advance, there is limited seating and they are very busy as their reputation spreads.

We experienced the foraging and dinner. The other reviews cover it all really. What an amazing experience from start to finish. Dan was superb helping understand more about the sheer volume and variety of food around us; you just have to look. We we then blown away with the dining experience with Matt and Naomi. The food was fabulous, but more than that, the whole experience - intimacy, explanation of the food and cultural provenance, construction of the menu, the theatre of the evening - was immersive.

Had heard lots about Matts food and was really excited to have the opportunity to try it out. His food is amazing. Very intimate setting, "chef's table" type of experience with lots of interaction with Matt making the whole evening truly unique. Forget about taking a loved one somewhere to treat them, spoil yourself, go try it. You will not be disappointed. If this chap was based in London there would be a 12 month waiting list to get in. How lucky are we.

Much more than a just great meal, our evening at Annwn in Narberth was a fabulous experience. The food was amazing, but it was great to see it prepared, have it described by the chef, and hear about its origins. It was like having a private chef. Would love to go back; need to book another holiday nearby.
