Always a pleasure to visit the shop excellent service with good food and large portions.

We have just moved to Morton Hall Lane and fancied Pie and chips, it was delicious 👌

The quality of this fish and chip shop has unfortunately gone down hill over the past 18months, I have been plenty of times in the hope they would turn it around. But it’s the shear cost of eating here does not justify the quality.. it’s a real Shame as it used to be a really good chip shop.

I discovered this chip shop around 2-3 years ago and being Gluten intolerant I would frequent on a Tuesday for my evening meal once in a while. I visited twice in the past couple of months and the foods has been well below the usual standards. I suspect new owners have taken over as the overall food and hygiene appears to have gone down hill. I won't be returning. If the owners read this then please take note and respond to the people who are reflecting on your business. We are not moaning becuase we like moaning, we are moaning becuase your product and service are below standards. You have a choice but if you continue to ignore your customers I fear you won't have a business.

Alright, so here's the tea about our latest adventure with your fish and chips spot. We're kinda like VIPs here, but not for the reasons you'd hope. Our orders love playing hide and seek, and guess what? This time, the battered sausage decided it was its turn to vanish. Now, losing a sausage isn't headline news, but when it's for your kid's mate, it's a bit of a pickle. We rang you up, and props to the person on the line for being chill about it. But here's where it gets spicy: we pop back in, and bam, we're basically accused of having an imaginary sausage friend by your blue-haired sentinel at the front. Luckily, another hero behind the counter saved the day with the missing link. Look, we get it, mistakes happen, but your crew's vibe can make or break it for us. This whole saga has us rethinking our foodie loyalty. Just some food for thought

I would put up a picture but I ate it too fast stopping by here at about 8:00 on a weeknight working locally as a plumber we were starving the lad and I to begin with slightly taken aback by the prices but quickly realised it was worth the money the quality was fantastic the service friendly and I believe the business is family owned we'll definitely be back and with the rising costs of ingredients it's probably not even that expensive great guys great food thanks very much

Seems to have gone downhill recently. The chips had been sitting for quite a while and you can tell the oil was dirty. Disappointing, it used to be really good a year ago.

Pop in on the way home from visiting a relative at Worcester hospital. Ordered mini fish and chips and was told minimum £10 spending fee with card so added a bottle of coke and large fish and chips as well, price was over £23 the fish was as dry as the Sahara desert and the chips weren't great either, most of it was thrown in the bin which was disappointing because I was told it was a good chippy clearly not ,felt like I was ripped off, should of went to my local chippy in winyates 100 times better quality.

From a long time customer of The Flying Fish; this experience alone has completely ruined our relationship with this place and we will not be returning. Having purchased a relatively simple order at midday on a Saturday, when I might add we perhaps were the only customers, half of the order was missing, £13.70 worth of a £27 order not provided. We were shocked at the sudden drop in the quality of the food, the chips were as dry as the proverbial Gobi desert and there was a mystery “dirt” garnish; an optional extra we were not expecting. The nuggets were like miniature hand grenades, of sub-par quality, a fraction of the greatness they once were, in the past they were literally amazing, not so these days. The cheesy chips were hardly what you would call “cheesy” either, having just a few flakes thrown on top was measly at best. Why this sudden poor experience? A change of ownership? We are totally baffled and very disappointed. Given the relatively quiet time of day, I am at a loss to think why this has all occurred. On finding half of the order missing, I did drive back to the shop and was offered a refund for the missing food. On arriving back home, again, we discovered the aforementioned mystery dirt and I couldn’t bring myself to go back. The crows, however, were less fussy and enjoyed the meal. One star for the food. Two stars for the service - due to the fact we actually got some food and a refund was offered.

We have used The flying Fish for a few years…making a 15 minute journey as always serve good quality food! So disappointed today both pieces of cod were the size of a mini fish and the batter really thick! Cutting corners but charging full price! Such a shame!

Went here when my usual chippy was closed and wow its batter than them. You can only rate a chippy on the last time you went so for now it's 5stars hopefully this will always be the case. I had donner kebab meat. cod. Chips. And jumbo sausage. Sadly the last visit wasn’t so good cod was greasy and kebab was tasteless, no more visits from me here time find another place.

Was working around 20 mins away from here and when passing the lads stopped off for food. Asked me and i asked for some fish. Lasds ordered and paid for the food and on arrival back at work the fish was not in the bag. How difficult can it be to forget 1 of the 4 things you order 🤔 Called them up and they wanted me to travel 20 minutes back to them to pick it up but no thanks I have work to do so not willing to travel back to you! Keep my money, use it to hopefully pay for some better staff!

Awesome fish and chip shop, good size portions and very nice food

Huge portions, friendly staff and quality food. Only 4* due to forgetting to pack the curry sauce that had been paid for. I’m sure this would have been sorted but I realised when I got home and didn’t want to do the 20 minute round trip again. Would recommend this takeaway for sure.

Amazing chippy....I used to own & run my own & THIS fish & chip shop is the sort I wish I'd had myself... The food is cooked superbly, the man has 40 years experience & it shows, & tastes delicious, the chips, the fish, all done & cooked to perfection... Great staff, friendly helpful & the portions are good... We have two chippys in our village but I myself come to this one.. I guarantee, seriously, you won't be disappointed...

Good little chippy. Quite quick service and fairly reasonable pricing.

The food was good, however, the young blonde server her customer service and attitude was appalling. After waiting 15 mins for the food asked how long would it be, her response ‘I don’t know I’m not the chef’ defensively. Think twice before going half a hour before closing as this would be cooked on demand.

Fantastic chip shop. We got there quite late on Saturday evening, thinking there wouldn't be much left but Zac made sure everything we asked for was served. Nothing was a problem and the food was amazing

We visited the local area for the weekend and popped into this chippy as it was close. We ordered a couple of different things off the menu, the fish batter was fluffy, the kebab meat wasn't greasy and the naan bread was the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

First time ever going here tonight possible the worst chicken and chips ever served to man kind salty and burnt to a crisp chicken wasn't even able to eat it and the chips was stodgy and full of grease how they have 4.5 I will never know very disappointing

Went there today because my local chippy was closed and wow this blows it away, never again will I go local, I will travel a little further for this. Had kebab meat tray chips suasage and curry sauce big portions and very tasty. Five stars.

The food from here is great everytime we go, we order from here regularly as the chips are very nice and my husband loves the kebabs from here. Due to going regularly the staff member know what we normally order and put things in to cool especially for us, the chip portions are large and very tasty, they can get very busy so I advise ordering in advance and collecting it as sometimes the queue can be out the door

Usually....the best fish and chips around. Last visit on Friday 15th July was awful....soggy chips and a piece of plaice that had been abliterated in extra thick batter.

I visited England last week and said to try the traditional Fish & Chips food. By chance I walked into this restaurant. The food was perfect. Nicer than I exlected. The portions are very large. And the staff is very helpful. For a week when i was in England I ate in the same restaurant because i like it very much. I tried almost all of his dishes. It was all great.

First time and last time 17.50 for 2 mini fish and chips with curry sauce. The fish was overcooked on the outside and was under cooked on the inside. The staff were friendly. Couldn't be bothered to drive back to get a refund

My beloved chip shop, it’s been awhile but wow prices through the roof, cod was tasteless and chips under cooked, I’ve used for many years, and always great food but i was so disappointed Is it new oil?

Being new to Studley after many years abroad I thought I'd try this place. For some reason they served my cod and chips in a box, piled chips on top of my fish and pressed the box closed. When I got home the chips had been pressed into the cod and although the food was tasty it looked terrible, all mushed together. In view of the sky high price of fish and chips how about dropping these ridiculous boxes and pass the savings onto the customer, plus help with the global crisis in cardboard packaging?

Myself and my husband went to the flying fish this evening as we have done many times over the years. Unfortunately the service we received was way below par. We waited at the front of the queue for 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order, there were at least six members of staff who were all busy dealing with telephone and internet orders. Nobody it seems thought that it might be good customer service to at least acknowledge that there were customers present. When we finally did get served it took several attempts to get the server to understand what I wanted. Needless to say, that was our final visit. COME BACK ZAC !!!

Absolutely shocked this weekend at the price increase!!! No other chip shop in the area has put prices up to this extent. As much as I love the food I will not be going back now, at least until the inflated costs are sensible.

The Flying Fish is a chip shop, to take-aways only. Been coming here for almost 25 years (as have prople from the next town) as the food is reliably excellent (only 1 visit in that 25 years has not been great). Well known for having long queues coming Friday tea-time. Generous portions, and due to COVID, you can call to place an order in advance if they have a slot, or join the queue. Me, I rate a takeaway on the food I take away, and pay less attention to the staff serving who have to slog it out over the fryers probably for little money, and have to serve us lot queueing and clamouring for their dinner.

Purchased large cod and chips last night. Chips lovely, cod awful. Overcooked and dry, so went in the bin. Quite often the cod is Overcooked but this was the worst yet

Food is usually good here.I called to place an order was left on hold for 8 minutes at this point I put the phone down.I redialled for 20 minutes the phone was either engaged or noone answered.Sadly leaves my elderley parents with no dinner.

Excellent customer service and a special thank you to the staff member who made it much less embarrassing for me when my card payment failed due to fraud on my account. Highly recommended and will definitely be enjoying their food again 👍🏻👍🏻

Sign on front door clearly states only 3 people in at time and then the staff start calling more customers in, so now 4, where do you stop? Putting customers at risk not for me i'll shop elsewhere

I haven't tried the cod yet but by looking how fresh and tasty it looked definitely my next order, if the quality of the mixed kebab meat and chips I got tonight is anything to go by it's a must. Definitely recommend 👌 Yes had too wait when got there due to Covid-19 but yes give them a try everybody, I felt in a secure environment in the knowledge everything had been done by reading the signs and with what the takeaway has put in place.
