Tonight I truly believe that I have had the best fish and chips of my life. The batter was crispy, the fish was perfect. The chips were exactly how you imagine chip shop chips to be, and everything was fresh and hot on delivery. The delivery was on time, which is perfect: not too early and not late, but exactly when I wanted it to come. The driver was friendly, polite, and professional. We always use The Boundary Fish Bar, and this is why!

We had chip butties from here. The chips were excellent and the bread roll was very fresh. Good price too!

In the last year I have collected and had delivery on many times and thoroughly enjoyed. But the last 3 times this take out/delivery has definitely lost its way. Food that is stated to be cooked to order is false as you can’t do that and then deliver between 12-18 minutes. When you call to say what has happened you are shut down at every part of the call, also the food arrives cold in some parts as when wrapped it is just placed in a paper bag and in this weather it will be impossible to stay hot. I will now stay clear from this establishment as it is not worth it.

Very disappointing service from what is usually such a good chip shop. The app stated a 45 minute wait for delivery which although high I decided to accept. 45 minutes later nothing…. Look on the app, question where my food is and with no contact or comment a further 20 minutes are added to the delivery time so 1hr 5 mins now. 20 minutes pass and still no food. I called them and they told me it had been very busy and the driver hadn’t even got my food yet. In total I waited over an hour and a half for quite a simple order not far from the shop. The excuse was it had been very busy but surely the answer to that is either adjust the order wait time on the app or stop taking further orders until you’ve cleared the backlog? Profit over customer service here and unfortunately I will not be ordering again. The value for money rating would be higher but all value is gone after such a long wait. The quality rating would be higher but again it’s a reflection of the quality of the whole service not just the items delivered and the service speed if I could give zero stars I would have but that isn’t an option unfortunately. If you want your food in a hurry or be able to plan for its arrival I would avoid!

Always order from here been really good but the delivery I've just had was Luke warm at best and the fish was definitely refried. Disappointed they've let standards drop.

It been terrible tonight we had two meals chips cold like been fry from dinner not fresh cook it terrible we contact then was offer credit by Lady owner didn’t come to phone we left chips I gave contact food safety at council kept chips tea no good tonight the owner not done enought it very worrying they serve food like this

Best Fish and Chip in Norwich ! And for good reason! The chips and fish were cooked to perfection with an amazing crisp and delivery with very fast the young man was very lovely. Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Terrific size skate, cod great good chip portions, definitely the best in the area. Oh and the staff are very friendly.

Superb fish and chips excellent service

I’ve sampled quite a few things on the menu and I’m happy to report that these fellas are doing a bloody good job. The chips are freshly friend and always a good size portions. The fish and sausages are always delicious. Good selections of extras and the bossman Vulcan always looks after me. I’ll be back again soon.

Just fancied fish and chips but most places closed on Sunday. These guys were open so tried it. Wow fish cooked to order so OK had to wait but well worth it. Really nice fish. Chips were good too and the dogs enjoyed their sausage. They also take card which really helped

I was looking for somewhere to get fish and chips delivered and found Boundry Fish Bar. To say I was pleasantly suprised is a understatement. Food arrived in good time also still hot. The food itself was lovely, fish was perfect and chips was nice. Didn't expect that quality at all and will definitely be ordering from there again.

Great value for money, large portions and such competitive pricing compared to another popular NR3 chippy. I can not comment on atmosphere as we opted for home delivery. Our order was delivered quickly and it arrived piping hot, wrapped well and was absolutely delicious. We would definitely order again and highly recommend to others.

It's a solid chippy, I've had their chips, cheesy chips and sausages and their all solid Food - Can't fault it, the chips aren't oily and the sausages are well battered, the portions are huge and they're well priced too! Service - Friendly and chatty Atmosphere - It's a bit tired, the fabric on the chairs is a bit ragged but it's clean and you're in there to grab some chips and leave, it does that well. Accessibility - Relatively narrow door and high counters.

I was seriously impressed with how good quality the food was and how fast it got to me! It's obvious that this company really cares about making their customers happy with top-notch quality and service. I recommend them.

Popped in here to grab some food for myself, sis and two hungry kids after a visit to the toy shop on the same road. A bit of a wait for the food as it was being cooked to order - not sure if that’s the norm for this place, but it was the worth the wait as everything was lovely and fresh. The chips portions were generous (even with the kids meals!) and still tasty when cold (as we saved some for later). There was a minor hiccup with the order but the man in the shop was more than happy to rectify, offering to pop it out to us whilst we waited in the car. Would come back again if in the area, thanks!

Wanted a quick and easy dinner so popped in on the way home, unfortunately we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food apparently they needed to cook the chips (doesn't take that long in a restaurant) anyway the chip were hot and lovely but unfortunately the pie we ordered was cold in the middle I mean seriously after 30 minutes waiting the pie wasn't even cooked properly

This chippy has gone down hill very fast with no brakes, What is meant to a large fish is a large amount of batter concealing a small fish, undercooked chips every time, we have given this place enough of our money now and will no longer be foolish enough to do so again, £10.00 for fish and chips is far too much when the quality is so low.

I had 3 large chips and 1 with a sausage in my order, and I had anticipated an hour or more for delivery. They arrived at my house in less than ten minutes, I assure you! I highly suggest these rates and delivery times!

Great service once a week pay by card online then order ready and waiting for collection 20 minutes later. Friendly when you arrive and everything we have had has always been 5 stars.

Please don't let the photos sell this place,presentation of the shop looks good,and it did sell if it for me until I got home and ate my first fish and chips from here. The chips are ok, but the fish was absolutely disgusting,thinly cut,no taste,just of grease,and this is not a traditional chip shop,this is my first and last visit.

Usually have just pies from here, but had fish today. The haddock and plaice were cooked to perfection, and chips good as always. Always impressed with the service and speedy delivery.

Great value for money and top quality food!

Volkan, AC and Dad run a great Chip Shop. The quality of the fish is excellent and very well priced. These guys maintained service to the elderly all thorough Covid and should be applauded for doing so, also stayed open to the general public as much as they could. For those leaving bad reviews about the quality of the chips and how they are cooked, maybe it could be a change in potatoes. Been using the shop since it opened and never an ssue. You won't find nicer guys or better fish and chips in Norwich. Like everywhere and everyone if you treat them with respect and are friendly you'll get the same back. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

We order from here every Saturday. Chips are lovely. Fish is tasty and fresh, Jumbo Sausage is beautiful.

After being regular customers will no longer use Boundary Fish Bar. Undercooked chips, one time you could understand but everytime is unacceptable. Rude and unfriendly with it. Reading other reviews it sounds like they are more expensive than others, so will take our custom elsewhere.

Very disappointed that as a regular customer, who spends between £10 to £30 per week here that when I paid for a large piece of fish I was ripped off by the shaven headed guy with tattoos who filled the box up with chips and placed a regular weight piece in the box. Boundary Fish Bar likes to charge a lot of money, which is customers choice as long as they get what they pay for. They won’t get my custom again and I’ve found a better shop at Happy Fish and Chips on Catton Grove Road. Very disappointed with being treated in this manner.

Food is nice, probably the best chips locally but I am now sick of not getting the full order on delivery. Literally every order is missing 1 item, tonight was missing curry sauce again 😕 . Normally it's a sausage or a bit of chicken. No other delivery we have, has ever missed things as often as the boundary this can't be just an oversight, feels more like a scam!

Really disappointed tonight, ordered large cod, wedges and curry sauce. No wedges instead 3quids worth of chips. Why is this the 2nd time when you call me usually. I am not paying 9quid for cod and chips to be told why didn't I tell the driver. Err cos they were gone by the time I opened your little present. Curry sauce was so thick I could of hung a poster up. As I said on phone, this post is telling you again I'll be going elsewhere.

Was looking forward to eating at my new local fish & chip shop, but sadly they do not cater to nut allergy sufferers such as myself, which I find absurd considering it's such a common and serious allergy.

Has gone downhill a little recently, much smaller chip portions and most noticeably of all, the woman that's now working behind the counter is really quite cold and unwelcoming, seems to think some customers aren't good enough to frequent the establishment! No more smiling friendly and welcoming service as we had before. The cooking and ingredients are still superb. Delicious batter, fish, chicken. So still rated a 3. Used to be a 5!

Food was good, but delivery time. It told me it would be there in an hour. But it never came within an hour. It took 1 and a half hours.

IMHO the best fish and chips in Norwich and worth the extra little drive to get awesome chish and fips
