The Little Fish Bar in Norwich

The last2 months chips are awful, fish is now very crunchy batter is this the oil? our family been using this shop for years, is it a new fryer? sorry to leave but you are nice people and you need to know, other people have noticed change as well.(also every thing looks very dry not how they used to be)

Not had much luck here, as it's the 3rd time on the trot the chips are rank, and I would not be surprised that they reheat from the day before..

Very friendly staff and a great experience. Amazing prices for good portions and good quality food. Even got an extra piece of small cod and an extra battered sausage. The staff were very patient when we had to get more money from the car. Overall the best fish and chips shop I’ve ever been to!

First time trying the food and it was fantastic

Fancied a portion of chips for my lunch after seeing sign up the window 'frying new potatoes ' on returning home to eat them i put them straight in the bin after trying one as they were obviously reheated from the night before.

Absolutely disgusting. I even asked if they were fresh, and was told they are new potatoes, clearly not, the oil is old, tastes like petrol and leaves a horrid taste. Will never come here again. Forced to go to another chip shop and thought I’d show you the difference.

I love this place...cash only though so don't be disappointed thinking you can pay by card.

Moved to the area 2 years ago and only recently found this gem! We have been at least once a week since our first visit. Best fish and chips we have ever had!! Friendly staff , reasonable prices. Parking is limited, about 4 spaces. Cash only. No card payments.

i eat from here regularly, the Cod is excellent, the sausages are nice, curry sauce is tasty, the chips are very nice and when new potatoes are in the chips are amazing!!! also very well priced when you consider the price of other takeaways. without a doubt the best chippy around now. there is parking outside for around 5 cars which can be a squeeze at peek times. queues go down quickly though so its never a long wait at peek times.

I've lived in Norwich for 23yrs and had given up eating fish and chips until now. The Little Fish Bar has bought me back to enjoying f&c. They have a great choice of fish 🐟, all sizes (I had a large Rock Eel with small chips and cod roe) best I've ever had and I'm 74! Go, eat and enjoy.

I've avoided fish and chips bought in Norwich, so far, until now! Service, quality, size and price from the Little Fish Shop was beyond reproach. The batter was crispy and light and the chips had an almost grease less crunch.

I always get chicken mushroom pie, chips, gravy and a can of drink. £7, good price. I regularly come here for my fix. The staff are friendly and conversational. The longest I've ever had to wait was around 3 minutes, the shortest, around 30 seconds.

I’ve lived in a little fishing village in Northern Ireland for the past 10 years Where people are so fussy about their Fish and locally sourced chips. Most of the local’s conversations is all about where is the best place to get your best fish supper! When I first moved to Norwich I really struggled finding a decent chippy as most of them would serve you a soggy greasy frozen fish with chips that I wouldn’t even feed to my dogs! One day I was walking to go get some groceries from Tescos and saw the little fish bar and decided to give it a go on my way back from shopping! What a massive surprise that was! OMG their chips are so good on its own! The Battered cod is out of this world..nice thick fresh fish and super crispy! And most important not soggy or greasy at all! reasonably priced and very friendly staff.. please note they don’t accept card payment so it is cash only and they don’t do delivery. Thank you the little fish Bar can’t wait to visit again:)

I use this chip shop regularly for lunch, I have to get the small chips as the portion sizes are huge. It has always been a good chip shop all the way back to the Mickleburgh days. The staff are always nice and will have a chat if they have time and the owner who I don't personally know seems a very nice chap and always says hello.

Las últimas 3 veces que he estado han sido horribles, solo pensé que era un mal día o algo así, pero después de esta cena no volveré. Good simple traditional fish and chips shop. Limited parking is the worst aspect of this shop. Otherwise good food traditionally cooked fresh on site and served by friendly staff. They even offer a loyalty discount vouchers with a reduction of costs in purchases. Bonus!

slow service even though it was quiet.. curry sauce is expensive to say it's not even that good.. chips were a bit soggy but still edible

Hubiera dado 5 estrellas si no fuera por el ridículo sistema de espera. ¡Puedes esperar hasta 20 minutos, aunque solo sea por una porción de fichas! Usted paga su dinero y recibe el servicio a su vez, incluso si alguien quiere 2/3 pedidos. Al decir eso, el personal es encantador y la comida no es grasosa.
