Called in a few time while shopping in the morfa, service is always slow due to lack of staff, tables always full of dirty trays, again due to lack of staff to clear them. Queue is always long and it’s always too warm in there. Prefer Morrisons cafe now.

We have recently moved into the area and have had a few meals at St. Brides Inn, Little Haven. We have to say the staff are very friendly and attentive. Having visited on several occasions, we highly recommend the food. Comming from the United States, the salad is the best I have tasted in the UK. They have made my husband a salad lover...he hardly touched salad before having one of St. Brides Inn salads. If you love fresh fish, lobster and crab....this is the place to visit.

We arrived in The Brecon Beacons on Sunday after a long drive,Red Lion was our nearest pub so we walked to have a drink, it was packed. We received a warm welcome from both staff and locals (who even offered to let us sit with them) everyone chatted to us, it was so lovely. Drinks arrived quickly. Monday we were booked in for dinner, it was amazing. Roaring fire, comfortable seating, clean toilets and another friendly welcome. We were served a pumpkin soup with garlic bread compliments of the chef, delicious. There were 4 of us so we chose spicy crusted mackerel, duck breast and the scallop with pork belly, all were perfect. We then had Welsh sirloin, which came with chips, onion rings, tomatoes and mushrooms, so juicy and tender and perfectly cooked. 2 had rump of lamb and other pork belly all were as menu listed and were outstanding. Almost too full for dessert but we shared a apple/rhubarb crumble tart which came with crème anglaise and clotted cream ice cream OMG beautiful 😍 2 finished with a coffee laced with Penderyn whisky from the local distillery. Red Lion is a traditional pub with a menu worthy of the gastro pub title, we loved the people and the food. If you are in Penderyn don’t miss it.

There were two couples in-front of us waiting to be served and we waited about 20 minutes to be served. We ordered 3 x hot chocolates, 1 x scone & 1 tiffin cake. There was no knife with the scone & jam and they forgot the tiffin cake which I had to ask for. Seemed to be 5 x members of staff but I don’t know what they were all doing . The service wasn’t good and other people were having same issues

Fabulous! That's the one word that perfectly sums up this place. Every time I find myself near Queen Street, I simply can't resist stopping by. It's a must-try spot for anyone in the area. Why? Well, first off, they have an extensive menu that includes desserts, donuts, ice cream, and shakes—something to satisfy every craving. Plus, they even have vegan options available, catering to a wider range of dietary preferences. So, whether you're looking to indulge in a sweet treat or simply chill and relax, this place has got you covered. Trust me, you'll love every delicious bite. Make sure to add it to your list of must-visit spots—you won't regret it!

From the moment we stepped in on our first night of our holiday we knew this would be a regular haunt. A proper pub, no food, cash only, a free duke box. The beer was great, and the landlady was welcoming and friendly, as were the locals, even though we were English! My Daughter fell in love with Dennis the dog, and after 2 tours of duty as a mine search dog, we couldn’t give this pooch enough love! Genuinely we love this pub. Historic with amazing atmosphere and close to the historic harbour it’s a highly recommended from us!
