We use Cafe Nero regularly at home but this was disappointing, looking very shabby. The one toilet was in the basement down some dark dodgy stairs not very clean and with no loo roll. When mentioned the pleasant staff attended promptly but the company should be ashamed of the condition of the premises the whole place needs a makeover.

This would have been 5 stars but for the attitude of one of the bar staff. Everyone else was really friendly, especially the ones bringing the towers to the tables. The barman however was arrogant and needs to go on a customer service course. I watched him ignore people and serve others whoād arrived after them and when they had the temerity to try and get his attention he said āwe donāt do it like that hereā and served someone else! Some of those he ignored simply went somewhere else.

Went here for food having checked the website first that they serve food on a Friday night. Arrived and checked the menu on the tables, not much choice and not what was on the website. Stood at an empty bar for a few minutes while the server was sat talking to customers. When she finally got up she told us they're not doing food only lunch. Very frustrating as we hadn't eaten. Won't be returning.

An excellent Sunday luncheon. A comfortable and pleasant hotel with a pleasant bar & dining room, open fires very warm & comforting on a cold day. A Duck parfait starter followed by. Sirloin of beef. Ideal spot for a late Sunday lunch. Beautifully presented and well deserving of 2 AA Rossettes.

Pints were nice and reasonably priced. They had a good condition pool table to play on with a £5 deposit, as most places in town have. Stacey behind the bar was welcoming, friendly and very polite. Would recommend.

Jess (the manager) was fantastic when organising my sons 18th birthday at the venue. She was responsive/professional and helpful from enquiry to the night. The evening went perfect from beginning to end. All the staff on the night were amazing and nothing was too much to ask. Highly recommend for a private function. The entire place is stunning with a lovely seated area upstairs for those that might want to chill and chat. Jess also recommended a DJ, who was also fantastic. We will deffo be back!

I visited the wheatsheaf with my family as we was passing and it was around lunch time, well all I can say is the staff members were foul mouthed and rude.
