Caffe Nero in Cardiff

Misleading as it’s not open 24/7.. Was told it opens at 2am but it was way passed 2am and chairs were up on the tables..

Very scruffy and tired looking. Chairs need replacing and my table was dirty when I arrived. No one clearing up.

I just wanted to say that today I looked at how a customer's boiling drink fell on top of him, by mistake of the barista who served him, and when he turned around he was laughing at what bad ethics and unprofessionalism.

Disgusting service. Ppl standing in a queue and customer service asian guy didn't even ask for help. Just standing and watching ppl. When I asked for service he said THIS TILL IS CLOSED. But he didnt even mentioned to jump on the secend ..lazy

I don't think most Japanese people would go there, but the store staff just sighed and gave me a disgusted look because they couldn't understand my pronunciation. I won't go there again.

Gitesh....how can I thank you for making me the best coffee of my Life!!! Such an unexpected delight to sit in your coffee shop sip on your coffee from heaven and pass the time between 4am and 5am listening to the chilled vibes of the lounge music playing so sweet and gentle in my ears... well done man ...keep up the good work and keep smiling brother.

Open early in Heathrow that's good, unfortunately, they change the coffee quality or Perhaps must to do a Machine deep cleaning. And I know it was earlier but please improve the customer service.

Asked to have it in and was given a plastic cup. This store does not seem to have mugs on store. Where is their commitment towards the environment???

I am sat here now and just had a mouse run past me. No idea how it would get into the airport but not nice to think where it might have been running around.

Phenomenal Caffe Nero. Good quality, good service, the full monte. At 4:40am, it felt like an oasis in the desert, i.e,Heathrow Terminal 5.

Awful. The staff don’t speak a word of English, ALWAYS get my order wrong and the coffee is always cold. They cannot understand English and I struggle to get a correct order from the staff working there. They are very blunt and direct no please or thank you they refuse to take any loyalty stamp with Caffè Nero, if you use any promotional coffee voucher, this is not correct and every other Caffè Nero I have been to across the UK will accept a loyalty stamp. They are stubborn and are doing this to be spiteful. I would not recommend this Caffè Nero. The worst Caffè Nero I have been to by far.

This is a wonderful cafe. They have the most amazing range of cakes! The prices are higher than the high street but that's what you expect! The cakes were delicious, I had the tiramasue which was amazing! The seating area overlooks the runway, so you can sit there and watch the planes landing.

Filthiest coffee shop I’ve ever seen with super rude barista. Go to Costa instead

Shock horror at the dirty coffee machine while waiting for my order . Even the shot glasses were so dirty you could not see the coffee clearly. Work surface and cloth were only fit for the bin. Clearly the whole area had not been cleaned in a very long time . Staff should be ashamed!!! Won’t be going there again !

Cafe Nero at Heathrow Terminal 5 is an ideal place for a cup of coffee with an amazing view of the runway seeing planes land. I love the Hot Chocolate Milano with Cream and the Belgium chocolate fudge cake... The staff are very polite and helpful. The only improvement needed is that the tables are generally not cleared up quickly enough.

This is a very popular coffee stop for many workers entering the city centre, and its numerous stalwart regulars, who enjoy its good vibe and floor-to-ceiling windows which make for a bright and cheerful ambience. The staff are friendly and obliging with good quality drinks on offer, as well as some tasty food, some of which is hot. However, my only real complaint is that it is now time to spray and wipe the leather chairs - particularly the sweaty arms - as years of heavy use have made them a bit stinky. The urea from people’s sweat eventually makes leather chairs smell of urine - not nice. A quick spray and wipe at the end of the day - particularly the ARMS - would instantly eliminate this problem and would also kill germs and any viruses. I look forward to my next visit - especially the freshened up chairs!

The lady Dhanashreel that works here is super rude. I just asked her to add bit more hazelnut and she started yelling at me how busy she is since the very early morning. I asked her how come that she can talk to customers like this and I asked her to lower her voice, she said: You were rude before … I’m speechless.

Good coffees but the staff may be overstretched judging by the line and the lack of pleasantries, not expecting a fantastic reception but eye contact would be appreciated….

Your typical Caffe Nero overpriced but the staff are friendly and they have ice - which is just as well because the fridges didn't keep the drinks cold. And charging for £2.75 for room temperature water is a bit of a liberty.

Tienen buena ariedad de sandwich, snacks, bebidas, cafes y postres. Mi esposa y yo tuvimos que esperar mas de 2 horas para dejar las maletas y como teníamos tiempo y hambre decidimos comprar 2 bolsas de snacks, tuna melt sandwich y mozarella tomao sandwich. Te los calientan de momento. Muy buen sabor.

As I approached the counter, the lady screamed CLOSED and aggressively mumbled something in a different language. The cafe was suppose to be open till 23:00 (as per the website, Heathrow T5 Arrivals), and I was there at 21:45. The tables were filthy and staff lacked manners. Worth no star at all

No iced drinks on such a hot day - even a sign out advertising them..

Coffee is not bad but there is room for improvement in terms of service.

I am a bit sold on Caffè Nero though not by nature a chain man! The Queen Street shop is handy for my office, particularly when I travel in early, arriving at 7 30am, and knowing that it opens at 7. The staff are very efficient, welcoming and I genuinely look forward to my stop for a latte and pain au chocolat, both excellent, though not so much, nowadays, to the work part of the day! Thank you to those at Caffè Nero Queen St for invariably cheering me up!

I clearly gave my order to the staff member who looked at me like I didn't understand what I asked for, low and behold she got it wrong, when I stated that it was wrong she refused to make what I actually asked for saying I would need to pay again, avoid this outlet, very poor service

This outlet advertises being open 24 hours, given its on the arrivals level of T5 at Heathrow. My visit was at 7pm on a Monday night, it felt like it was closing. Chairs on tables, cleaners working etc. I’m not a coffee drinker, so can only review the decaf tea I ordered. Easily the worst cup of tea I’ve had for a while (£2.75). I saw the chap pour the milk in from a supermarket style plastic bottle - but it tasted sweet like oat milk.

It’s comfortable with chilling on your early flight, Nero is our friends

Staff were not interested and apricot croissant was stale, shame as I usually rate cafe Nero highly.

I walked in here with a pregnancy craving for a certain type of drink. I described it to the barista and they made it for me even though it wasn’t on the menu! Absolutely delicious and satisfied my craving. Thanks ever so much!

Pretty average airport cafe. Very slow service, there aren’t enough staff, they are working very well and as fast as they could but there isn’t enough of them. The coffee was ok and there is a good range of food but the bacon roll was pretty awful and it smelt bad. The tables are all really dirty but it isn’t really busy, there are usually tables available.

I have been coming to this Cafe Nero on floor 5 (Departures) for about 10 or more years, almost exclusively on my motorbike. I used to meet a friend (also a biker) here halfway from where we both lived and he passed away in 2019. I came here again on 22/2/2023 at 20:00, just for a coffee and to warm up on the way home from work as it was on the way, and also to remember him. The staff members were dismissive, not polite or friendly and told me that the seating area with the runway view was closed from 19:00 (fair enough, I was just hoping to sit with a view like I used to do with my friend when he was alive). As for the coffee, well I had a flat white which was good. Milk temperature was correct, though it was only available in takeaway cups. They had a sign on the counter that this was temporary and would be sorted soon. Broken dishwasher? Or just an evening thing? Anyway, I'll come back, but hopefully be treated better next time.

There are two large Caffe Nero's landside at T5, both have plenty of room, including for trolleys and luggage. The departures level one has views of the taxi way, and you can even access the BA Lounge WiFi. The arrivals one competes with a Costa Coffee, it seems to be popular with BA staff on breaks as well as arriving passengers. Both have the usual Caffe Nero selection of sandwiches, coffees and pastries.

My wife & I regularly go for a coffee, at least once a week. Yesterday we ordered our usual Latte. Not only has Cafe Nero increased the price by more than 11%. I accept the the price of coffee has gone up. But they’ve also reduced the quantity of coffee in the cup. It was like drinking a cup of warm milk.

Awful, rude service and filthy toilets. Went here with family and server (male) was curt, indifferent and didn’t listen to our order. He was very rude and cut us off mid sentence - didn’t look at us when we were speaking, spoke over us and got the order wrong. If he spent more time listening than being rude, it would help!! Toilets are upstairs and disgusting - filthy floor and debris up the toilet bowl. Wipe your feet on your way out. When sitting out our table, one of the servers placed the “slops” bowl on the end of our table and began emptying everyone else’s left overs whilst we were still eating. Gross. Awful experience and if I could, I’d give it zero stars!!!!!

Ordered a mocha, not sure if they gave me the wrong order or were stingy with their chocolate but it tasted like just plain black coffee with the tiniest bit of milk, tasted awful

Staff seemed a bit disinterested in everything. Tables and counters were piled with empty cups and leftover food throughout which staff ignored the whole 60 minutes I stayed. Was tempted by a pastry until I observed 4 flies crawling all over the croissants. And when did the Chocolate Milano’s become so watery? Otherwise, nice views of runway 09L.

Had the breakfast deal which is available up to 11am. Food good and tea and coffee ok. Don't visit cardiff often but would call in again.

This branch needs some attention and very clear information. My warm sandwich was lovely but the tables were dirty.

Never again! Stuff absolutely impolite and NO communications. Wanted a Scone and asked for raspberry jam. She gave me strawberry - after I asked if she could get me another one, she told me they only serve strawberry here. Okay. But after I asked for the normally Clotted Cream she gave me Irish salted butter. They don’t have Clotted Cream today. Why do I have to ask for EVERYTHING?? The tables were DIRTY - without my own sanitizing stuff there would have been no way to sit there. Never never never again.

I was overcharged for my latte, and was then not allowed to change my order to a decaf because it would cost 10p more. The staff were dismissive and inattentive to customers.

Although it’s a typical chain café with a corporate feel (photos on the wall of models drinking coffee and laughing), this is a very popular, handy and friendly venue at the end of Queen Street (near the train station) located in the, sadly, struggling Capitol shopping centre. My only real niggle with this venue is that quite often the cups, saucers and teapots have not been cleaned thoroughly enough. I get the impression that quite often the teapots are just rinsed without a thorough clean inside and, as I said, there are sometimes rings and stains on the cups and saucers - unacceptable at any time but especially at the moment with viruses still lingering. Having said that, the hygiene rating for this premises is excellent, it’s just they need to pay more attention to washing the crocks. However, their savoury and cake offerings are good, with some tasty gluten-free options. The furniture is a mix of tables with power points – good for laptops – and comfy armchairs facing out of large windows. The staff are very nice and always willing to help. One of my regular stops on entering the city centre.

Worst cappuccino ever from Cafe Nero, ordered a small with extra shot they gave me a medium then reordered and got a milky coffee. Also Ordered a white hot chocolate that used dark brown chocolate. A truly terrible experience.

At the end all 3 of them gave me looks and said something in their language . What an inconvenience and unprofessional staff . Convenient location but the coffee (milk) is burnt with a vengeance - across 2 different days and 4 different coffees (different types: flat white, 2x latte, decaf latte). Tasted really bad; so bad that I am taking the time to write a review. If you want a coffee, I’d strongly recommend trying a different place.

A great place to have break and have some coffee at the arrival terminal 5 at Heathrow. The coffee was served by very helpful and efficient serving lady barista behind the counter. Perfect drink served at the right temperature. 👍

Ordered an earl gray tea. They didnt steep the tea one bit. Tea bag, water, oat milk all in one go. It was horrible.

The first attempt at a flat white was scolding hot, on picking it up I knew immediately but stupidly I blew on it to try which I referred immediately. The second attempt, made begrudgingly was literally a double expresso with warm milk added. I threw it away after one sip. Unfortunately by that point I’d walked away to catch a taxi

I always look for a Neros when out for coffee. This Nero is in a good location and the big windows are nice for people watching whilst having our coffee. The baristas are always friendly and the coffee is the best on the highstreet too.

You know you’ll get a quality coffee at Caffè Nero. Just like most chains, they need an injection of personality and more bean roast options.

Hi, there have been a couple of bad reviews here which I cannot understand. This is probably because of tiredness and stress by those leaving the reviews. Just take a breath, put on a smile, and you will get the best coffee and the best customer service. Certainly it happened to us and Sanwil and Snazzy could not be any nicer! Great coffee as well.

Besides going to the duty free shops, to keep warm a hot cup of chocolate would be one's first choice. This was a regular cup and though the seevice was rather slow tasted great not too hot. Drink was just perfect. Staff worked as a team but too slow, especially with a long queue. I almost left to search another coffee shop but was too lazy to walk further. At the end, the drink turned out lovely.

After we landed in London, the first thing we would like to get is a cup of coffee to refresh our day. Cafe Nero is located right outside the arrival hall with various options for both drinks & pastries with reasonable price. We had 2 cups of large hot latte and it was not the best but pretty decent. We love the large size they serve since our past experience in Europe was cafes only serve tiny size coffee.

Friendly, professional and efficient staff every time. Great coffee and decent atmosphere ☕
