Went here on the way home and couldn't be bothered to cook. Nothing to complain about other than we had to leave before the quiz night got under way.

We had a very large tabel booking. All the food came out together and was presented lovely and all came out hot. Portions were smaller than i thought but sll teasted lovely. Staff were all really nice and welcoming.

Good food, great atmosphere with great service had by all.

Excellent fish and chips plus gammon and chips with pineapple and egg. Both to be recommended

Busy Saturday, but we’re able to find us a table for 7. Cosy atmosphere and the Christmas decorations looked lovely. We all ordered different meals and were all happy with our choices, good pub grub. Liked the option to order from the table and have drinks brought over. Will definitely return.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and most importantly a gluten free menu. A regular lunch venue for me.

Absolutely awful food meat and veg microwaved, I could see them remove the cling film off the plates as they where have the doors painted at 6.45pm, cancelled desert. Kitchen Staff you should be ashamed have some pride in your work!!! Only good point where the FOH staff

Food arrived hot, I did have to chase up a side order but that was delivered ASAP. Staff helpful and friendly. Ordering has changed since last visit and table service now not available, however ordering at the bar works better anyway.

Very nice place, relaxed surroundings, good staff but service a bit slow

The pub was nice and warm, we had plenty of space for a group of 6 and the staff were friendly. The food was also delicious. The only negative comment I have if I was being critical was that some of the dining chairs were a bit stained / worn.

One of my favourite pubs, good pub grub, nice location. Always good to unwind after doing the garth to lesser garth circular route that luckily ends in the car park!

Pub was busy but only one person behind the bar so took a while to get served. Had a Guinness that didn’t look great and I couldn’t finish.

First and last time! order a mixed grill had the option of how I wanted it cooked why because I asked for medium rare came out well done like a rubber ball ,chicken and pork was dry and watery my daughter ordered hunters chicken , had no cheese and hardly any sauce they must microwave the hell out of the food so tasteless ,never again, only plus was the area and staff

Great food and service we can also bring our small dog with us who’s welcome in the bar area which is why we visit most weeks .

Even though food tasted nice the portion size of my hunter’s chicken is absolutely shocking! For an adult meal I expected more. (I had already eaten a few chips) my brother ended up having the exact same thing as myself and his was a lot bigger than my tiny chicken. One family member had their soup and the rest of us had to wait and additional 15-20 minutes before the rest of us can have food! (Party of 9) other people were sitting down after we arrived and their food was coming out before us which was quite annoying. First time I’ve visited and I’m quite disappointed.

£10.25 for a 175ml glass of wine! £6.25 for a pint of Peroni! I can understand why the entire pub only had one guy sat in the corner at 10pm on a Saturday night. Avoid

Excellent experience. First time at the inn, we landed up famished! But past the dining hours.. however we were not to be kept that way, the management and the Cook, Derrick, ensured that we had a sumptuous meal! And a great one at that! Very warm and welcoming place. Definitely revisiting (during dining hours!!).

Nice place with good menu choices catering for people with food allergies, although quite a restrictive menu

Called by for a quick lunch as we had our dog and they are dog friendly. Soup was cold, I ordered a jacket potato and when my order came they served me a baguette and chips which had chicken that was full of fat. Disappointed, hate leaving a bad review. Nobody came over to ask and we don't go out to complain.

We had a lovely time yesterday, the pub was clean and the food looked delicious! The lady on the front of house was excellent and ran a very tight ship, she was very pleasant and helpful and although the pub was busy she made an effort to be friendly, we were very impressed and will definitely return.

Came in with my family and we each had an excellent time. The food was delicious, I'm vegetarian and I had one of the best veggie burgers I’ve had in a long time! The food portions were big and well worth the money. But to top it off, the staff here were so friendly and accommodating it really made the experience. They served us with a smile, checked in on our food and made sure we had everything we needed. Do yourself a favour and get yourself down to Ty Nant Inn!

A little wait for our meals there were 7 of us but absolutely worth the wait a few had cooked dinner mixed grill lasagne all very pleased massive portions boiling hot and very tasty all happy customers

Ellie looked after our group of eight superbly and helped us understand how the daily offer worked. Service was quick and the food arrived for all of us at the same time. Great value too.

The staff were really friendly. Especially Alex, she was amazing suggested the lamb shank for Sunday lunch, and the lunch was so so good. Thank you Alex for being so helpful and tentative! ! We will certainly be back again. 👍👍☘️.

Me and my husband turned up at a busy time of day but we're lucky enough to get a table , the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us , somehow I managed to order 3 meals by mistake when i ordered online via the app and the waiter luckily realised there was only 2 of us and he immediately alerted the manager to whom came to our table and asked if we meant to order 3 meals I said no , and she got the card machine and immediately refunded us for the 1 meal ! I felt like they went above and beyond to be very honest and helpful and all waiters and waitresses were really polite , we had a lovely evening and will go back again very soon !thankyou lou and paul

Food was hot and tasty but could have been slightly quicker. No options for sandwiches on the app.

Cosy pub with great food and friendly staff

Staff were really helpful with checking some allergy information for us. Food was served in good time and was delicious. When we reported an issues with people at a different table, management came and sorted quickly and without any fuss.

Alex was fantastic from start to finish service with a smile. Will happily come back great food!

We live nearby so we enjoy going to the Ty Nant, as it is in walking distance. The play area is great for children including our son to play and means we often meet up with other families to sit in the beer garden on a nice day whilst the children enjoy the play area slide and climbing frame. There is often space for friends to sit together and buy drinks and/or food. The kids always enjoy the meals. There is a good selection and at a good value especially £1.50 ice cream sundaes.

The Sunday roast was delicious -couldn’t fault it for portion, flavour or presentation! Service from Alex was very friendly too!

First time visiting after popping to Pughs garden centre. Lovely family pub and Alex looked after us finding us a nice table for 2. Food was lovely and really reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Always a great visit. Alex greeted us as we arrived and showed a to our table and was very happy and professional . Accommodated our party of 9 fabulously for Sunday dinner. Every meal was fantastic and served in great time. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back for drinks and meals in the near future

Very friendly staff and the food was lovely

Been quite a few times before but very disappointing on my last visit. Ordered a curry but was tasteless and the popadom was stale. Naan bread was fine. Service was good but such a disappointment with the actual food.

The food was delicious,the staff was friendly and very helpful,especially that we were a large group with lots of kids. The staff took care of every detail and ensured we were ok and checked if we need any drinks or if the food was ok. Totally recommend this

We've had an amazing time at Ty Nant, the chicken Kebab was amazing, the atmosphere beautiful, clean place. The kids had a blast in the little play ground. Would definitely recommend

Lovely pub, but there are usually only a couple of staff serving. Drinks are overpriced.

Very helpful and polite staff, the food we had was really good.

When we went it was around 3pm food was good and arrived quickly however when it got a little bit busier it took over 20 minutes for our deserts to arrive

So disappointed in the food and service. Prices have gone up but standard has gone down. Waited ages for some overdone freezer food! Peas were like bullets, chips were poor quality and overcooked!

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating my husbands 80th birthday. Luci did us proud. Thankyou all at the Tynant.

Very good experience. Made a booking and was received and welcomed on entry and shown to a table promptly. Tried to order from table but fiund was unable to order and use discount code so had to go to bar to order. Pub was very busy and despite that food arrived at table in timely manner and was well cooked. However there were 2 sausages missing off my mega mixed grill but I didn't bother flagging that up. Also the quality of the sausages is not great. Overall a good experience and staff do a good job.

Very pleasant night, good food and space

There was plenty of parking. We were sitting outside which was lovely with the umbrellas up. It was great being able to order at the table with the QR codes. We came inside later as the weather got worse and it was very homely. The toilets were nice and clean. It is in a really nice location.

Pub looks good from a distance but close up not so good. Old & dated inside. Tables sticky, toilets not good, food under average. Staff friendly, not there fault pub needs a good facelift & better food.

Extremely disappointed. Ordered soft drinks by the app took over 30 mins to arrive to the table. Ordered meals the same time, one meal only chicken strips over cooked arrived 40 mins waited for another 15 mins for two more meals to arrive had to ask waitress where was our order ? The waitress brought the two meals dried up not very appetising asked for a refund the meal had been left under the warming lights at serservice and had completely dried.

This is the kind of pub that has realised that if you serve food and that food is good and fairly priced"they will come" again and again. Also the word gets around and the car park fills up everyday. It has that low beam kind of atmosphere bit dark here and there. The entrance needs work but has been like that for a long time. Nobody complains they just sit down order their food and eat well. Nearby is one of the best garden centres in south Wales so if you can take a browse and walk off your meal. Lots of parking but it does tend to fill up quickly. Recently returned to this pub and nothing has changed. Busy, good beer food looks good too.

Had lunch with my daughter at the Tynant today. She ordered cheese and bacon sandwich and cheesy chips and I ordered jacket potato with prawns and a very interesting salad (in the description on the menu) including rice, beans and topped with crispy onions. When it came it looked like a starter. Small jacket potato, butter on the side instead of already in the potato and a very plain salad consisting of lettuce, some tomato cucumber and onion. Not what was described on the menu. I told the waitress and she offered me another drink but I already had a full one and told me she would tell the chef. And that was it no further apology and avoided us from then on.

Efficient and friendly staff. Good Sunday dinner.

Low ceilings, dogs sitting on chairs at tables and crying children was tortuous. The food was OK. Only two servers. May not be suitable for people with ASD.

I love the Ty Nant, it's a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are always pleasant. The food is really great without being too fussy and there's a huge choice. I also like the fact that they leave just enough time between courses to give you time to settle and ready yourself for the next course. If I had to say anything, it would be nice to offer free water at the table to help cleanse the palate between courses. That said, we thoroughly enjoy our visits and would recommend to anyone.

Great to find somewhere open doing food at this time on a Sunday. We were seated quickly & the meals took a short time to arrive after ordering. Food was really nice & the pub had a nice atmosphere.

Very underwhelmed with our meals today. Having previously had lovely food we were disappointed with today's offering. Had hunters chicken from the classic menu - the chicken was dry and not very hot, bacon was half a streaky slice, with not a lot of sauce topping, and a handful of limp leaves. Also had a peri peri baguette - the chicken was dark meat and the peri peri sauce was very mediocre. The baguette was quite hard and it came with chips but no salad or anything to make it look more appetising. The only thing we enjoyed were the chips which were lovely. The staff were pleasant enough but we won't be rushing back.
