Food is good price but my spice bag was horrible. Not spicy, the taste isn’t inviting, Donner and chicken was as dry as a foot, and had to wash it down with an overpriced pint! Burger was so basic, defo spend your money on a proper one somewhere else. Atmosphere was okay until 10 minutes in when they cranked up the music so we couldn’t hear each other in mid day. Also had the loudest most typical Welsh laughing woman sat a few tables away who nearly burst my eardrums. Quickly became an unenjoyable experience.

Was really nice place, we were struggling to find a dog friendly place and we went here and they allowed to go with our little dog inside is transport bag what was really good for us. The atmosphere is a sport atmosphere if you like sport or want watch something best place will be here. The food was nice , and the staff super friendly and kind. Super recommend 👌🏻

Very little respect shown to the Guinness... it wasn't poured properly which was disappointing for an Irish bar. Drink prices were very expensive... double the price of the same drinks compared to the Prince of Wales pub opposite, the tables were sticky and not cleaned, the toilets weren't the best, and the service wasn't particularly good (borderline poor/slow)... so I'm struggling to understand why anyone would frequent or return.

Barman got drinks wrong and argues in front of everyone that it was my fault. Drinks are the most expensive I have ever paid in Cardiff. Will definitely not go back.

I had the pleasure of being served by The Lorax at O'Neill's, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I sat down, The Lorax greeted me with a warm smile and immediately made me feel welcome. Not only did he offer fantastic recommendations, but his knowledge of the menu and his passion for the food and drinks was evident in every interaction. His energy and charm were contagious, and he went above and beyond to ensure my meal was perfect. Whether it was refilling my drink or offering a thoughtful suggestion, The Lorax made sure I felt like a VIP throughout my visit. The service was fast, attentive, and friendly, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you're lucky enough to be served by The Lorax, you're in for a treat. Highly recommend this amazing spot and this incredible server! Five stars all the way!

I love drinking beer and an assortment of alcohols at this establishment, especially when provided by the talented bartender Lee, I also had an assortment of small plates including the cheeseburger spring rolls, oumph tacos and kimcheese bites.

Terrible service! My friend ordered three drinks which the bar maid had got wrong twice. Rather than resolving the issue she lied to security said he swore and kicked him out. I was also scammed! One bar maid was charging me about £8+for a rum and cab of redbull, where as the bar manager would charge me £12+ and would only give me the rum and with the glass fulled up with redbull ( less than half a can) I’m going to contact them for a refund as I believe the manager was charging me more to cover the drinks he was giving to his friends.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. Sat in the upper part of the pub. Plenty of seats and even though it was busy not waiting long for drinks. Both ordered food which was really nice. Lovely clean pub and good choice of menu for food and drinks.

This will be the 2nd time we've come to O'Neills for breakfast and a drink. Breakfast was amazing I just wish they had more variety of pale ales such as Old Speckled Hen or Hobgoblin I'd even try a Rev. James if O'Neills had it on tap.

The drink selection was impressive, featuring a variety of local craft beers and creative cocktails. I tried the signature Guinness and it was refreshingly delicious! My friends sampled a few pints. Now, let’s talk about the food. We ordered the loaded nachos and the mega mixed grill and both were outstanding! The nachos were perfectly crispy and generously topped, while the steak was cooked to perfection—juicy and bursting with flavor. We even saved room for dessert and indulged already fantastic meal. The live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the night. The band played a great mix of classic hits and modern tunes, which kept the energy high and everyone in good spirits. It was the perfect soundtrack for a Saturday night out. Overall, oneills exceeded all our expectations. The combination of great food, fantastic drinks, and a lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening. I can’t wait to return and make it a regular spot. Most rude security staff I ever met. Arrived in Cardiff by bus from Bristol Airport and just wanted to have a beer and catch some livemusic before getting to bed at my hotel. Accused me of being to drunk to enter even if I didnt have a single drink before. I have always had great experiences in the UK befor but this was absolutely awful

We watched a comedy show here that was very good and the atmosphere in the upstairs room was perfect. There was also a good band on downstairs. And a nice selection of drinks including cocktails.
