We ordered 9 meals 5 of which said they came with coleslaw. No coleslaw but was told this after being served the meal. Presentation was awful burger on buns with burnt warmed up chips plonked on the side. One chilli bean with rice. There was literally a spoonful of chilli. With some rice. We had to ask for the salsa guacamole and sour cream. When we asked the waitress who was clearly stressed looked upset. We had eaten there a few days earlier and the food was good so was really disappointed at our second visit. Maybe just an off night.

I’m truly disappointed to be writing this, especially since we've been loyal customers of Manila’s for many years, even before the café opened. Unfortunately, during our recent visits, we've encountered a staff member who has been consistently unkind, dismissive, and, frankly, quite rude. This behaviour has left us feeling patronised and upset. Additionally, we purchased a cake that appeared to have mold on it, but when we raised our concern, we were told it was just the way it was supposed to look. Despite this, no offer of a refund or replacement was made. Sadly we won’t be returning again.

OK Chai overview: Bit too spicy for us. It was OK Chai. Room for improvement of recipe and blend. Price of Chai (regular): £3.85 - O Coffee one was okay. The chai was a little inconsistent and clumpy but you know what, IT TRIED. And that is what matters most. What are we all if not a little inconsistent and clumpy? A little rough around the edges? I know I am. I appreciated the chai, and I will continue to do so. I also liked the barista dude he's a nice guy. - Overall rating 3/5 - <3 3.5/5 - Spice 3/5 - Consistency 2/5 - Price 3/5 - K I love coffee one's atmosphere. Very studious, however the chai recipe still needs to learn a lot. It was OK Chai, not blown away by it, but it wasn't bad. Very much in the middle, not failing, but not excelling. This is really reflected through the consistency, which felt a little gritty under the teeth. However, the staff were so lovely and they are absolutely amazing. A* for them. The Chai however? Solid C grade. - Overall rating 2.9/5 - Price 2.8/5 - Spice 3/5 - Milk options 4/5 - Smooth 2/5

We booked a table for afternoon tea in advance which was prepared for us on our arrival. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was presented attractively and with a variety of both savoury and sweet items. A very enjoyable occasion.

We went for breakfast with our young granddaughter and received a very warm welcome as always. Our breakfast arrived quickly, which is great when you have a little one with you. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Tides is a great place to relax and people watch, a lot of the tables outside are under cover, so although going into winter, still so nice to be outdoors. A great little restaurant.

I’ve been at my mothers side since the early hours in the local hospital, waiting for the inevitable. I missed breakfast, so I walk the mile or two into Deganwy. I see this cafe I’ve not been in before, so I decided to try it. I order eggs on toast and a coffee about 10.00. The young waiter keeps on about his work, and 15 minutes go by. I finish my coffee. 40 minutes (!) have now gone by, and no food! I ask the waiter to check up on my order, frankly I shouldn’t have to ask as there aren’t many customers there anyway. He says they have “Lost My Order” I say I will “just pay for the coffee”, I’m disappointed, hungry, and I’ve had enough. He then disappeared! I have to actually go up myself to pay! I do get an apology, but I don’t even get a free coffee by way of apology! It’s now 10.45, so I return to the hospital hungry. Zero stars for the Olive grove, very poor service.

This is a great place to eat and very local to us when we holiday in St Florence. 4 of us had something different off the menu and all food was home cooked, piping hot and delicious. The menu is not extensive. Just good pub food and the dining area is nothing special, but quiet, so you can have a conversation in peace. Recommended if you like plain and simple.

We have been here many times and always had a lovely meal.. the one time we don’t have a good meal.. we were told to contact Sarah the next day.. 3 messages left and no return call.. shame as we just wanted to give some feedback around our experience.. I have left positive feedback in the past and this is by no means negative feedback it would just have been courteous to get back to us to discuss.. we will return as the food is good and the staff are friendly it was just a one off disappointing meal.

Lovely setting and great for a coffee looking over the river. We thought we'd try the restaurant this time. So diappointing as we only live about a mile away. No welcome or friendly smiles on entering. When we asked about food, the waitress didn't even bother getting up from where she was chatting to other staff. She waved vaguely to the other side of the room and said the menus were over there. Basic pub food albeit a bit pricy by local standards but when it finally arrived, both meals were cold. No quality check from the serving staff who appeared to have gone AWOL so we had to head to the bar in a different room to let them know. The plates were taken away in silence and brought back - in silence, micro-waved, So much for the 'proper pie' that was now soggy mush. No further quality checks and met with only scowls and hostility when we got up to pay. Such a shame.
