Iam local and walked from Abergele to Tides cafe with my dog! It was a warm day and was looking forward for a sit down and a nice cold drink! There was no where to sit lots of elderly sitting around with empty cups on the tables! Not enough seats! So went to counter just to order a can of Diet Coke! She asked are you sitting down or take away? I said take away please there’s nowhere to sit! £2.95 for one can!!!!! I said I only want one!!!! How much out have been to sit at a table!!!!! That’s way over priced 😡

we have been coming here for about 3 years and it never disappoints food cooked fresh by lovely staff great setting just off sea front lovely to sit outside when weather's nice yummy cakes too great menu

Popped in for a snack for 4 people 2pm (closed at 4) -we are only serving breakfast bloomers -do you have glutton free cake -let me check-no Ask out server for our extenvie wine list (quote from menu) -what wine do you have -erm pinot -rose? -yes - no red? -no Rose arrived and was white Zinfandel - I asked for Pinot rose -we don’t have any -oh -erm and the Perroni u asked we have zero alcohol is that ok? -no The toilets had no toilet roll and the poor waitresses had no supervision to serve a busy restaurant with no supplies I wouldn’t go again

Dropped in with my husband last week for a coffee on our way to Conwy. Ended up looking at the menu and ordered a coffee and Welsh rarebit.... It was delicious. Plenty of it and had a really fresh salad on the side (with very nice dressing..) Had a portion of chips too... Cant remember what my Husband had as I was too busy enjoying mine... Lovely clean place with efficient friendly service. Have the Welsh rarebit... go on!

Visited Tides today with my sister for some lunch and, as always greeted by very friendly staff who make you feel so welcome and create a lovely, warm atmosphere. We took the menus from the counter and had a peruse while our drinks arrived. Matt was cheffing at the time. I ordered the vegetarian burger which was served on a brioche bun and was lovely and fresh. It came with a beautiful fresh bistro salad with a delicious balsamic glaze and a generous portion of thick, crispy chips. My sister had the crispy chicken with a bbq sauce and salad and chips. She said it was delicious also. Great portion sizes and very reasonable prices and, on Tuesdays there is a special on of soup and a sandwich for £7-25, which is a bargain and the homemade Italian tomato soup looked vibrant and tasty. Can never fault Tides for its seamless service, fresh tasting food, cleanliness and a lovely atmosphere. Many thanks. See you again soon. Ken

Great location, easy to find. Breakfast was lovely tasting and the food was hot. Had a pot of tea which is free when ordering a breakfast and you can have free top ups. Coffe was good too. The service was excellent too. Overall very happy with our experience. Would definitely go back.

My friend and I usually call here once a week for coffee in mid-walk but this morning and last week we were extremely disappointed that the coffee was so weak and almost tasteless so maybe giving it a miss for a while. Get a stronger cup at MacDonalds for £1.95. A shame really because it is a nice place to stop and the staff are always very pleasant.

Just called in for breakfast this morning and we have to say we were very impressed.We know the place is under new management and you can see all the improvements that have been made. The interior has been spruced up and its very nice. The food was lovely,the staff were very friendly and helpful and would recommend to anyone to give it a try.

Arrived for lunch with my cousin as she hadn’t eaten here before and I’m glad I had booked the table as it was very busy and only one table left. Greeted with a very warm welcome from Lucy and Sophie and shown to our table by Lucy. We both decided to have the vegetarian burger with some delicious olives. We didn’t have to wait long for our food and quickly got tucked in. The chips were delicious, crisp and fluffy and lots of salt of course. The burgers were so tasty, not like any other veggie burgers I’d had, nice and moist and served in a lovely fresh brioche bun. A nice bit of fresh salad inside (no soggy leaves here) and a very tasty mayonnaise. Needless to say we cleared our plates. What I love about Tides is the consistency of the food, always fresh and beautifully presented and full of flavour. Also the staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. There is always a nice atmosphere and you never feel rushed even when it’s busy. One of my favourites. We chanced on Tides on the first night of our holiday. Stuck our heads in the door as it was getting late but welcomed immediately and said they absolutely could serve us dinner. Oh my! What an amazing surprise - incredible tapas. Food was really quick, piping hot and full of flavour. The garlic bread is literally the best I have had. We quickly decided to book again for our last night after a chat with the owner. Turned up a week later and the friendly waitress remembered us. Between the two dinners we tried pretty much the whole menu. The garlic mushrooms are superb. I think for the quality of the food and the location/environment it is incredibly reasonably priced for a special meal. Such friendly owners (recently taken over). It was so good I could be tempted to book another break nearby just to eat there! Highly recommended.

We came here twice, one for lunch and again on a Friday evening. Lunch was lovely, great toastie and chips. Service was great, very friendly staff. We came for tapas on the Friday evening and have to say it was amazing. I’m fact some of the best tapas we had ever eaten! The service was absolutely out of this world, the guy serving us was professional and polite, felt like we were at a 5 star restaurant.

Just called in for a snack, but ended up with 2 lunches. Scampi and chips, plus Chicken Chilli salad. Excellent presentation and both were very tasty.

As ever the food and service was excellent. I rang ahead as going to be slightly late but reassured this wasn’t a problem. We were served quickly and the array of amazing food came in no time. All dishes were amazing and freshly cooked but special thanks to Jacob for the most amazing garlic mushrooms! Didn’t think they could get better from my previous visits however they certainly did not disappoint. Best garlic bread too! Will be back hopefully next week 🥳

Went with family for Sunday brunch - excellent service and attention from staff from the minute we walked in… the menu had great choices and all 4 of us were really pleased with our different choice and the quality of the meal….. decor is great and lots of outside seating… thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going back to try the other menus and speciality nights 👍👌

Had a lovely lunch sitting outside with a view of the sea. Staff were very friendly but professional, food excellent and reasonably priced. They seem to be getting plenty of five star ratings since the change of ownership and much deserved. Waited about 30 minutes for our freshly cooked meal but we had a nice coffee whilst waiting and they told me about the wait before I ordered. Even our dog was given a biscuit! Many thanks to all.

What an awful experience with the children they employ, seriously rude, lack knowledge and need training in customer care immediately! I would employ an adult to run this place before it's run into the ground! I was also short changed so check the amount before you tap your card!

Visited 1620 hrs on Tuesday. Met at entrance by a young lady. I asked if they were open as no one else present. The reply was “ you have 5 minutes to make your mind up and it will have to be a takeaway”. Her manners are deplorable. It doesn’t need Covid to close your business get more staff like this young lady. I politely declined and told her she can have as long as she wants and left. Next minute doors closed to. I appreciate it’s a quiet part of the season but after being locked down for so long I would have been open 24/7. (p s. I was in the retail sector for 36 years )

Tides Bistro is in such a lovely tranquil spot and we are now being served at an outside table which is just great, no more plastic cutlery...All of the staff welcome us warmly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Our breakfasts are delicious and the coffee is as good as ever it was.We hope people will continue to wear face coverings and keep their distance, so that this lovely cafe will be able to remain open.Thanks to all the staff for keeping us safe at Tides
