Costa Coffee in Conwy

A bit dated setup but serves the purpose.

Could not get in. It has closed for good.really disappointed.

Sadly, this Costa is closing today. We nearly always popped in when we visited Colwyn Bay and will miss it a lot. Very Sad for the wonderful staff 😢

Good place to waste a few mins, but so expensive

Sorry to hear today that costa Colwyn Bay is closing down on Sunday 16th June 2024 Another business ruined by Conwy council extortionate business rates

Three pounds for a small bottle of water is much too expensive. Also used tap water for a iced coffee for the price should have been filtered water.

My order was taken but then the person making the coffees decided to have a long chat with his friend relating to CPS!!! 4 customers had their coffees made by another and left whilst I waited. Not even an apology. Won't be going back.

I simply walked past the place. So am unable to give any ratings

Super friendly staff and comfy sofas and tub chairs, rare these days as the 'new' owners, Coca Cola, are slowly turning branches into insipid imitations of American diners. Chairs and sofas will probably be long gone by next year

Only had full fat milk which I usually have skimmed. V nice coffee though and friendly staff. A bit noisy with being inside shopping centre

Payed £5 for an iced coffee and got this, disgusting.

I like it here but the cakes are always stale and hard

This Colwyn bay Costa serves the best coffee I’ve tasted I’ve been coming for the last 3 years and it’s still the best . I thought it was perhaps the great soft Welsh water but I think it’s the good expert way they care for their coffee beans Well done

Lovely staff and food, but cafe's layout is unusual and very open to the shopping centre. Can be very overstimulating.

Average coffee and food Update on my latest visit 8th Dec. 2023 Flat white was like a cup of warm milk couldn’t taste the coffee, it depends who dispenses your drink I usually get served by a young lady and the drinks are excellent today I was served by the manageress and it was a 1*

All good. Typical Costa but very well situated between rail station and covered shopping centre. Everything you need in one place!

The Coffee was fine, the staff were pleasant but the cafe was scruffy. At the end of the counter next to the till was a slate on which were small slices of cake, they were not covered up and everyone was able to breathe cough etc. over the cakes. The floor behind the counter was covered with spilt coffee grindings and judging by the staining were several days old. The coffee machines were covered in drips and stains. Never again

Rude server and always same woman I ordered a hot chocolate black forest my glass was half full I though okay here comes the cream....😔nope same as hot chocolate half measures was ridiculous I really didn't want say anything so walked away but then I see a customer with the same drink and omg I wish I had said something it was a complete joke this lady Is the same every time will definitely be reaching out to manager

Have been in Costa in Colwyn Bay today and just wanted to feedback on one of your colleagues. I think his name is Liam. He has worked his socks off whilst I have been there. Hasn’t stopped at all. Hats off to Liam for his work ethic.

Personally I dont like there coffee and salted caramel cake was not very tasty.

Had a really long wait to get served. Then given wrong coffee. Then over charged

Their espresso tasted like ash, the lady that made it was not happy that I made an order. Ambience was pretty basic like all Costa coffee places. Sub par in my opinion.

Service was excessively poor, l was over charged by 20p as i had a reward for two drinks for £5 and was charged £5.20 l quired the bill, but was told that was right. Was told that l didn't ask for a decaf coffee when I knew what I ordered.

It is what it is, bit pricey for what they offer and not amazing at that

Large takeaway latte jumped in price again more than inflation and rewards dropped to one free in 10. So an expensive coffee out now. Also wouldnt serve an iced latte to following customer as were out or straws. Now like most people both she and I have a mouth that has learnt to drink from the lip of a cup or glass so i can cope without a straw. However server said sorry company policy means no straw no iced drink. So company policy comes ahead of any sale! Good business practice that!

Pretty basic. Like all Costas. Limited choice of food and drink. Again like all Costas. Service is good. Staff professional and pleasant. Good for a snack and a drink.

Its expensive they shouldn't clean areas whist customers are in there having to rope off a section...not necessary. I like Costa I just don't like the prices. Please toast your toasties on both sides!!

Popped in for a take away latte whilst out shopping with my granddaughter. Prices have gone up recently in store and is now cheaper to get from a costa express especially as getting a take out and I feel the taste and quality was no different. Didn't choose to sit in as was quite busy and the empty tables were filled with dirty cups but they did seem to be short staffed and wasn't too bothered about sitting in. There was no sugar or stirrers so had to ask but they were apologetic and restocked as soon as they could.

It's like any other Costa, so if you like a Costa, go there, if you're not a Costa fan, there's another place that serves coffee close by.

So, so slow making my coffee. I only had an Americano, and the older lady on the coffee machine took nearly 10 min to get to my order, with just two in front of me. By the time I got my drink there was a queue of people waiting for there's.

I went into Costa with my sister and my niece the other day and the quality of the drinks we got was absolutely poor. I ordered an Iced Latte and asked for a very small amount of vanilla syrup, and my sister ordered a Peach Iced Tea. The girl who took our order was lovely. The woman who made our drinks was the manager, who was extremely rude. She slammed the drinks down onto the tray and didn’t even acknowledge me. My Iced Latte had so much vanilla syrup in it that I couldn’t even taste the milk, let alone the coffee. My sisters Iced Tea had ONE ice cube inside and the drink was warm. The only good thing we had was a bottle of Tropicana for my niece, which none of them made. Extremely disappointing as we always used to go here, but since the new manager has been there the quality has degraded massively.

You have to carry your own coffee and try and manage a walker. Difficult if you are disabled It's a good place to " people watch"

Cake was stale and drink not that pleasant. At over £5 i wont be going again.

A big improvement recently (new staff/manager?). Tables much cleaner, staff more efficient and less chatting to their mates. Well done.

Get better staff that don’t take 10 minute to serve 1 person because the staff are flirting with each other

We made a quick visit here Oct /022 We went to get the coffee from the counter t. I felt for The barista, we were clearly getting in the way. His attitude was unhelpful the coffee was poured with no care or attention. I took it over to the table, sat down and the table was unstable. So nearly got covered in hot tea and coffee. I asked the same barista for some paper towels to clean up and explained what happened his attitude was not good, clearly he was having a bad day and it was everyone else’s fault. No offer to help or apology just handed some serviettes. I spoke to another barista who helped arrange another table. She was helpful Although the table had crumbs on it and Despite coffee being on the table and floor no one offered to replace and the spilt coffee was left on the floor. I think the managers should retrain the staff in customer service, and make sure the tables are safe. The issue was the table as the floor was flat. I’m more than happy to discuss this with costa management.

Young girl with dark hair working 13:45 Sat 27th August was rude and has the customer service skills of a potato. Rude to my Mother in Law, and incapable of smiling. Clearly hates people and dislikes her work. Made drinking coffee an uncomfortable experience.

I was very disappointed with the staff at this Costa they did not stop there conversation at all to serve us and it was not something that I needed to hear a bit personal the drinks where made a bit like it was a big chore

I popped in for an almond latte and slice of lemon/lime loaf. After queueing for 25 mins I was given a hot chocolate and they forgot about the cake! Three girls behind the counter but only one taking the orders and making the drinks. One girl did ask if she should go on the till but was told no so she continued re-arranging bottles in the back wall. Coffee was nice when I eventually got it but the cake was stale. Slow service and no smiles. Awful!

Nowhere to sit so drank my coffee in the car.

Rather not use it as there's a young woman with a rat in the colwyn bay Costa.

Was just ok. Went with my two young sons and sat outside as it was busy. Didn’t appreciate a staff member who came out on her break to smoke a cigarette next two our table. Wouldn’t be too bothered if it was just me or maybe it was another customer. Just seemed rude and unprofessional.

I'm not a big fan of Costa there drinks are ok but food is totaly over priced but if there is no one else around I'll use them as a last resort.

Just awful, tables all with uncleared cups , no plate for toast served in a bag with a plastic fork! Take out cups not enough staff and dirty. We pay to sit in and enjoy a coffee not have to clear our own table wipe down and then work around eating with no plate to butter your toast on.

Had a lovely quality street the purple one drink from here this afternoon and utterly tasted just like the chocolate 😋 Went to Costa today 31/03/22 Really wanted the hot cross bun hot chocolate drink but they had run out of the syrup the man told me it had only came in today. I had the kit kat hot chocolate instead but was disappointed because It wasn't the same as advertised in the picture.

Was a bit disapointed that we were served hot drinks in takeaway cups even though we were eating in! Otherwise great friendly staff 👍

Went to Costa today wasn’t happy with the state of the tables I ask a young girl to take the tray of the table after the last people had it and she just look at me and didn’t seem like she cared really disappointed as I love coming here

You can get a really good cup of coffee here. It is a very friendly place to visit.

Very good coffee and lite bites, good service. Reasonable price for good quality food and drinks.

We used Costa as our breakfast option treat while staying at local Travelodge which is just the other side of the main shopping centre less than a 5 minute walk away. It’s very much like all Costas as you’d expect - slightly pricey but you know what you are getting. We enjoyed our combination of coffees, sausage baps and toasties. All of the staff we came across seemed friendly and helpful. There’s not a massive amount of seating inside but we managed. Looks like the outside seating is a good bet in summer.

Did a click and collect order,was ready and waiting when I got there. Staff very friendly and premises nice and clean.

Plenty of seating available including outdoors. Unfortunately there weren't quite enough staff for the number of customers. Coffee up to the usual standard.

Haven't been in a COSTA COFFEE 's in around four years , since I was shown by a customer just how short changed customers get . More than half the cup was froth . Greggs are better value .

Went today for a coffee all OK except one staff member with facemask on who took it down to speak to anyone then wore it under her nose !! What is the point.. staff should be made aware of welsh covid rules

Love that Costa near to the beach and train station somehow they always manage to have the sunshine at their outside tables, lovely.Good view to the charity shop next to it :D and staff is great too! They also give u reduced coffee prices if u bring your own cup veeeery environmentally conscious, well done!

A good establishment tidy and clean

I’ve been going here for years. It’s defiantly gotten so much worse since the new management came in-I believe her name is Christie? Very rude, and ignorant. The staff look so miserable, and you see the same staff all day everyday, massively overworked. Nothing like it used to be.

Always busy, currently understaffed despite restricted customer numbers. Very helpful and hard working staff.

Lovely hot coffee, enjoyed my visit overall, but The girl behind the counter was a bit rude and snotty. Doesn't effect the experience though, she must be new but coffee was lovely as always 👍

Went here today with my family and asked for a white hot chocolate mocha. When I received the coffee, milk had no froth in it and tasted like dish water, so I took it back. The lady at the counter was very snappy and defensive when I politely complained and told me that she would make me another but really they are not allowed to make white hot chocolate mochas…. I don’t really understand if this is true but if they really are not allowed… what a strange rule. I don’t think the staff have been trained properly to froth the milk or the machine isn’t cleaned very well because the drinks always taste poor. Their is a costa machine up the road in spar which tastes a lot better

Went to grab a costa today, and was served by Elliot, who is such a kind and welcoming member of staff. The coffee i had was amazing, best one ive had from here by far!! He was extremely thoughtful and careful of my dietary requirements and i had such a lovely chat with him. Overall, the team was superb- coffee was great, and service was quick and efficient.
