I was in there last night Saturday evening had a great night solo traveler from Yorkshire

Went in with my partner on Saturday night. Place was near on empty so music was insanely loud. Saw in the banners outside that a double spirit was 5.95 so asked for 2 doubles and pepsi max. Bar tender went away and put about 4 ice cubes each in half a pint grass (which a lot of the bars in llandudno do which they shouldnt). Due to the insanely loud music I shouted over and banged on the counter to advise no ice please, but he didn't hear, turned round to a bouncer telling me "he'll serve me in a minute, don't bang on the bar if you do it again you'll be out". Bloke came back asked what mixer "I said I just tried to get your attention as I didn't want ice, but got told by the bouncer to to bang the bar". He looked at me like ...Well I've already done it now...but then proceeded to sigh and then poured the spirt from both glasses into another glass with no ice. Came back put in a inch and bit of pepsi max in the glass leaving 2 inchs of the half pint empty and said that £14. I said " I thought the sign outside said £5.95 for a double?" He shrugged and said that's the price. How much is the dash then I asked and he said £1...I said you only put a inch of pepsi in to which another sigh and with attitude said "well I can fill it up more then if you like?" To which I then said no your alright, I'll leave them and walked out as had enough of the bad attitude and service. Would not recommend popping in for a drink. Clearly have lots of trouble if the bouncer had to mention not banging on the bar for attention purposes. Also if the double was £5.95 + £1 for a dash the actual price for 2 would be £13.90 not £14 so unsure where the 10p went. Service was very poor and the bar tender didn't even look like he wanted to be there.

Outside of the hotel is a disgusting mess. Cigarette buts, toilet paper and vomit on the pavers. Why would you go inside. They need to clean up before customers feel drinking and eating there.

My partner needed a job so she applied to work at fountains during her time there she filled in for people and did many shifts for Jamilla the owner or manager whatever she is!! she came and stayed later than she needed to often and also even unlocked the shop sometimes when the lazy owner couldn’t be bothered, after working there for a few months she booked her birthday off work with Jamilla and Jamilla said this was fine but then her dad got angry that she had said this was okay and told my girlfriend she needed to work on her birthday even though she had booked the festival When my girlfriend said she cannot come into work, they fired her. They are refusing to pay her the same with her sister who also worked for businesses owned by Jamilla ‘s dad. She was fired no excuse and not paid also! Her mum had to take them to small claims court and won :) They are in the process of retrieving the wages via a bailiff there was also two other members of staff that were fired while my girlfriend were there and they have not had any pay either !! the owner Jamilla and her dad are are dodgy If you’re doing a research, you will find out that the father has been done for some questionable unforgivable offences. It seems like the whole family are just scum. They do not care about anybody else. Stay away if you need work they fire you and don’t pay unless you take them to court Google Steven Dickens Llandudno that tells you enough he’s been known for bad things In Llandudno wierd man and his daughter is no different she seems to follow his rules Also no drinks on the bar hardly ever very understocked try and charge people £7 to go downstairs to see an unknown DJ, Jamilla has Lockin when the venue is closed until four 5 am drinking and doing God knows what in there Just stay clear of this mess

Two rooms, larger room at the front of the premises. Usual tap beers and one real ale available. Not much seating area. D. J. Was in when I arrived. Staff were friendly and polite. Toilets at the rear of the premises. Wooden floors throughout, sparcly decorated. Beer was good. Another good visit.

Smirnoff and coke and a pint of lager....£2 plus dearer than our hotel and other local bars. Plus the vodka sure didn't taste like Smirnoff. More like a cheap supermarket brand,same with the coke. Undrinkable

Place is tidy enough, a bit dark in there and would benefit from a full refurb, Majority of door staff are sound, couple are not so sound.

Had a good night in here for sister birthday. Small dance floor and gets busy very quick. But toilets were lovely and clean.

Came here for a night out with some old friends who I hadn't seen for a few years since I moved to England. The service was great, the security was amazing and we're constantly keeping an eye out for everyone. The staff were particularly helpful when one of my friends got a bit too drunk and was not very steady on her feet. They helped us get her into the taxi safely as the rest of us were quite tipsy. They made sure everything was okay, and stayed professional throughout the night. Thank you making our night out amazing and making us feel safe considering all of the new ways that people have found to spike and drug people. You were all amazing and constantly on the lookout. You guys deserve far more appreciation than you get from some people.

Not many people in there but hardly surprising rude staff cold in there toilets un clean poor choice of Ales and very very expensive for what drinks available we had one and left

everything was fine, beer expensive, but worst thing is cant take pint out so left on top of jukebox. which was fine till end of night where they through my full pint away!! you owe me £4.50.

Visited last night, one person behind bar slow service. G&T had to ask for lemon. Tried again tonight three behind bar talking, bat inside empty. Waited 10 minutes and the walked out. Not worth a visit.

Wouldn't go there personally as I don't drink. Lovely, very clean, lovely staff. Overall bang tidy and lovely owner

Called in for a drink Sat 3rd July, first one was fine then took over an hour to be served again dispite asking 3 different bar staff , was just fobbed off .The local Welsh people were served all around us and we were ignored totally. loads of guests were walking out after just one drink due to being fed up waiting, you would have thought having to close for so long due to Covid they would be grateful of the business . Security later on only let local people in [ all female lol], staff need a course in customer service we pay their wages .

Lovely pub friendly staff always happy to help and make you feel comfortable.

Sat outside my husband went in was told the staff would come out to take our order, so we waited and waited after 20 minutes still no show I went in to use the bathroom and oh my goodness the toilets were filthy no soap or gel so came out and said not the place for us still no sign of the staff so we left

Sat outside to have a drink and the service was dreadful. There were no staff to take orders although we were told that somebody would come but waited and waited. Would definitely not recommend this place,and would not return.

Great friendly welcome from the staff. Good range of drinks. Great outside seating area, albeit on a slope (watch out for the lager throwing barmaid !) The gaffer even put the jukebox on free selection for us! Cheers guys n gals, we had a fab time!

Fountains is and has always been my favourite bar in Llandudno! The staff are ways so accommodating and lovely to talk to! The beer is always cold and the atmosphere is amazing! I couldn't ask for any more in a pub and I always look forward to my weekends of in there!

we went back to Llandudno for the night and decided to give fountains a try we was put off a little by previous reviews but thought we'd give it a go only suppose to stay for the one and ended up staying quite a while the covid protocol's and guidance were being followed we were very impressed with how staff dealt with situations,ive worked in pubs before and to say it isn't an easy job but hats off to the lads behind the bar, they are running table service with great service the food was excellent, beer was nice and refreshing, the staff was incredible and very polite, highly recommend going to fountains.

Management need to learn how to talk to their customers, I came here last year in July and had a good experience so we came back last weekend, We waited outside to be told there’s no tables when we could see 4 empty tables free!! The so called manager comes out not wearing a mask and Shouts at us saying there’s no tables, he also started shouting at other customers for no apparent reason. He definitely needs to educate himself with how to talk to customers.

Would go here anyday, friendly staff, covid proof and very good deals, would recommend to anyone for a drink/nigh out, Summer x

Everyone is getting used new rules and regulations and to have the audacity and the ignorance to shout across the whole bar in front of people and be-little someone who suffers with memory issues all because they came in through the wrong door and accidently set the alarm off. There are ways to deal with this situation and the way this was handled was disgusting. We certainly won't be returning.

Only stayed for one drink because some staff were not bothering to wear facemasks at all - even when serving/clearing tables. Neither did they challenge customers who were walking round without masks on. Really poor attitude. Won’t go back.

This place looked nice from the outside. A bit sports pub inside with no atmosphere. The woman serving was good, but the three guys were just hanging around wearing masks as chin warmers! The one who we assumed to be the manger (due to his arrogance) not wearing a mask at all and wandering round between all the tables. People were allowed in the bar to walk around without masks. Not a very nice or safe environment at all.

Ordered food and soft drinks but requested no ice and specifically "no lemon" in the drinks due to an allergy . After a few minutes the drinks were served and our server Dan, had took the time to check the ingredients in our meal and discovered lemon in the hot sauce. Nice one Dan ! A young gentleman showing diligence and concern for customers is a rarity , thank you so much Dan .

Was totally disappointed we git there 2nd May was only abt 4 other customers there and asked for drinks n food the drinks we waited 25 mins all I wanted was a pint of large n gin with lemonade and dinner we waited over 1hr to eat and then order was wrong aswell n the staff need to be retrained in how to serve customers and the chef needs to step up on how to do his cooking on basic menu

Place smelled of toilets as soon as we walked in. The £5 charge for two of the worlds smallest glasses of diet coke crowned this place as a total rip-off. Would not return.

Had a few drinks in here , same round three times 3 different prices . Heard several ladies comment how awful the toilets where and refused too use them . Basic housekeeping says clean toilets are a must

We come to Llandudno twice a year and always come here for drinks and sometimes food. Best atmosphere than most pubs we have been in, me and my wife were very impressed this year with how well they are following the government’s guild lines. 5 stars from us fountains!! See you next year x

Came in here yesterday, never been to fountains before. Got served by a young happy chap behind the bar, we had a meat feast stone baked pizza to share between myself and my daughter and 1 pint of Amstel and 1 pint strongbow darkfruits and it came to £15!! BARGAIN, and to top it off the pizza was amazing!!

Called in to try and get a table, We had walked past many times and this place is always full. We did get an table (outside) and ordered a mix of bits to eat £16 for four plates, Of their large selection, Chill chicken WOW ,Chips etc. Really enjoyed them and big portions, The staff were very friendly and this is a place to re visit

Recently visited fountains bar/cafe with my partner and daughter, we got a a pizza chips and the fish finger butty we didn’t have to wait to long for it, food was lovely, Would just like to point out staff were amazing and all safety procedures were in place due to the current Covid-19 situation so it’s 5 stars from me

Came down with the kids ordered some food and came real quick which I was sceptical about but to our surprise the food was really nice and quality Only complaint was there was no wifi for the kids tablets

Hate giving bad reviews but we visited here after coming out for the day on Thursday, with family and 2 kids. Menu wasn't very appitising but not wanting to make our hungry kids walk and find somewhere else, I chose the fish finger butty @ £8.95, my son chose the kids pizza and my daughter chose a tuna jacket potato (the others decided not to eat as they were not impressed by the menu) the food came out in less than 10 mins, which is always a giveaway that the food was pre cooked and warmed up as n when- my fish finger butty was absolutely vile- cheap fish fingers, cheap bread- I ate a quarter of it my daughter's potato (which was not off the kids menu might I add- came on a little side plate, with the smallest spud you'd ever seen and was not oven cooked but microwave'd and also £8.95 my Sons didn't looks to bad but as a firm believer in you get what you pay for, I don't think £8.95 for a fish finger butty and same price for my daughters potato was justifiable- just vile. Needless to say we left, still hungry and not impressed at what had just been served. My mum went to the toilet and said that inside the bar (we were outside) and the toilet facilities were disgusting and grubby. This place has the potential to be lovely but sorry our experience was nothing short of extremely poor! Sorry but honesty is the best policy I'm afraid

Our usual pub was full so we decided to go to Fountains as it seemed to be popular. Good job I took my own Dettox wipes as they didnt wipe the table after the last people had left and we asked two waiters to do it. We should have known then not to stay and order food!I ordered the fish finger sandwich with a side of fries.The fish fingers were obviously cheap and not Birds eye! They tasted greasy and no taste of fish, the white bread it came on was stale! We really should have left as soon as we arrived as hygiene conditions were poor. No waiting staff wore face masks and one of them actually leaned over my daughter to pass the menu!I would not recommend visiting this cafe/bar

Went to nearly every pub in Llandudno on Thursday 23rd July. This was definitely the best place, only pub I felt safe in. Tables are distanced more than enough, great system in place to keep there staff and customers safe. Staff were excellent, food was lovely, spent all night here. I’ll be back fountains, thank you

So they happy to serve drinks and food outside but say they have no protocol in place to allow the toilets to be opened. Simply lazy and poor management, happy to take the money but not providing the ability to even wash your hands!!

Our favourite place when we visit Llandudno for the weekend, would recommend the bull frog cocktail, great music always leave on all 4’s 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Visited recently with a work client and the young man that served us remembered us from visiting a while ago. Disappointed that they only serve muffins with a drink now but hopefully in the future they will start selling the lovely cakes that they used to have. Hot drinks were good and the client i took had a beer of which he enjoyed. Will visit again when in the area

I don't like giving bad reviews, but sadly I have to be honest. The place felt unclean and the ladies toilets smelt bad and wasn't particularly welcoming. My partner felt the same way about the gents. There was little atmosphere. However the young bar man was friendly and polite. It desperately needs a clean up and updating.

My wife and I have visited Llandudno on numerous occassions in the past staying at the Empire hotel- we have a groundhog day thing as we usual visit each time we go- the Pier, the Promenade and then go to the Fountains Bar for a drink. We were shocked that since our last visit four something years ago hown much this bar had gone down hill- we wre shocked- there were hardly any customers there for a Saturday afternoon and there was only one staff member working - we had previosuly had some food at the location but decided on this occassion to give it a miss. Sorry to give this review.

Got a pint of carling lager and two slim line tonic waters my hubby had £15 in his hand as all our rounds prior to this had been in £10 area as I had drank the odd cider but the round came to £4.90. There was karaoke on and lots of young lads and girls having a really good time.I went to the toilet and they were a disgrace doors didn’t close properly toilet roll all over the floor wobbly toilets,

always used to come here for the karaoke nights on a Sunday! Just to have a laugh, it’s a lovely atmosphere and he best place to spend Sunday funday! Friendly staff and the bouncers are lovely!

Average bar. Nice outdoor seating but all tables are on a slope so when you put your drink down you worry about it tipping over. Inside needs modernising quite outdated.

Best place on mostyn street..We went ere back in march 19 and went back again last wkend july 19.Staff are brilliant,friendly and welcoming,will do anything for u.Great selection of draught beers and reasonably priced too,offer of free juke box throughout the day,we also donated as good gesture.Reasonably priced pool table,comfy seating if u want to relax and really clean especially the ladies,which is a must oh and they do the best fish finger butter ever..We'll definitely be returning this summer...Cheers Connor & CoC u all soon Paula & Wayne xxx

After calling in for a drink 18 of us as we do every time we go to Llandudno we found that this pub had gone down bank as we sat in the back room with one more couple two of our group decided to play pool along came the bald headed bouncer with the beard and tapped on the pool table and said make this the last game very abrupt and rude I said they have only just gone on it his answer was they are not supposed to be on it but there was no sign or no member of staff to tell us not to go on it before hand The way he approached the situation was disgusting and hes nothing but a bully we certainly will not be coming back you need to get rid of him and we shall be telling others

Stoped with family 8 of us altogether drinks and food reasonably priced food served quickly and very nice, kids entertained playing pool in lounge area ,friendly staff ,will come back again in the evening for karaoke. Understand it is a busy nightclub in the evening highly recommend

Although not sampled the food side of this establishment, there is a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Good music, gets busy at weekend evenings.

Visited this place for lunch on the 3rd of January 2018.I ordered the chicken burger with a side of chips, plus a Diet Coke to drink.Chips were delicious, as was the burger. Plus, food came quickly due to the fact I was the only one there.Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Not sure if still serving food but if so.....it shouldnt.No soap in either male or female toilets, which would have been useful as i realised that i had been sitting in vomit that had been left on the leather sofa, disgusting, young chap serving is great but the others....Overall this is a filthy bar which familys should avoid.

I would of rated it 1 star but I was there so I couldn't rate it any higher than 5, so I'm stood on the left of the entrance next to the gambling machine to make sure the place stays beautiful x

place needs a deep clean, stinks of wee, beer wasn't great, staff were miserable, place was empty....no wonder. been in previous years and was much better. plus side though you can go inside with dogs.

Called here very briefly for a drink this evening, but left without even having our drinks as the tables were filthy, and the whole place smelt of cigarettes- and we were sitting outside! Selection of drinks was appalling!

Really good pub and great atmosphere great staff and good prices as well and run by a good manger Connor.

Tres de nosotros vinimos aquí y encontramos que estaba vacío, lo cual no era un problema, pero era como beber en un granero helado. Sin música, sin atmósfera, sin papel higiénico en el baño de mujeres y generalmente muy pobre. Las opciones de gin-tonic estuvieron muy por debajo del promedio.

This place is like a time machine, the music was good, a mix of current and 90s classics but the place was absolutely rammed, and the clientele were either hen doo' s, wierd old men or chavs

Lovely freshly brewed coffe and at only £1, not only the best in town but the best vlaue! Only problem is, when I visited on Saturday they had run out of semi skim milk, and I don't drink whole milk. You can also get coffee and cake - always nice and fresh - for only £2.50!

ok so we used to go to Fountains at lunchtime and night time, however its been a while since we went here because every time we went passed it was empty and closed. Sorry guys but I now understand why, we used Fountains on Saturday night and it wasn't the best place I have been, there were lots of very rowdy people in there we found a seat in a very dark corner not lit very well at all, now I am a professional DJ/radio presenter, music is my life, and the music in here was really good, so what's the attraction for all the rowdy and drunk people that were talking louder than the music @ 8.30pm, Ok that maybe out of your hands, however if your trying to attract that sort of clientele then you have done it. Not sue if this place is trying to be a nightclub

If you want a lively place at the end of the night it's okay.

Visited on a wet, late afternoon in October when nothing in Llandudno looks its best and this place seemed more like a bar waiting for the serious Friday night crowd to arrive rather than our bedraggled family. However we were greeted very warmly and had great coffees. I expect it’s more fun later but was warm, good value and welcoming for our kids and parents.

Frequented over the years and had some pleasant visits, always ok but today was not nice, been closed all week (kids holidays England), and sign on door made it clear NO DOGS yet we turned up today to be greeted by a dog... and told dogs are great! Played pool with young daughter & wife only to be followed by 4 drunken filthy mouthed males to ruin our game & evening.

Great tasting beer, service was a little slow, however the place was packed out. Karaoke night was open late as a one off night.

Stopped off once enroute to our restaurant. Seemed ok although the sound system sounded like it had better days. Looked like more of a late night venue for the younger end.

Went there for a drink and was fantastic especially after being thrown out of the Carlton pub down the road for having a 3 month old. Staff was great would recommend the fountains cafe bar to everyone
