The Harbour Bistro in Isle of Anglesey

We ordered 9 meals 5 of which said they came with coleslaw. No coleslaw but was told this after being served the meal. Presentation was awful burger on buns with burnt warmed up chips plonked on the side. One chilli bean with rice. There was literally a spoonful of chilli. With some rice. We had to ask for the salsa guacamole and sour cream. When we asked the waitress who was clearly stressed looked upset. We had eaten there a few days earlier and the food was good so was really disappointed at our second visit. Maybe just an off night.

Really enjoyed the food and nice service from helpful & friendly staff. Apparently I need to write at least 100 characters.

Food was okay, I had the Harbour Burger which was very tasty. Came with a fried egg on it which I found a bit odd but so be it! I just took it off and didn’t eat it. Nothing wrong with it, just not for me on top of a burger. Chips seemed to be skin on fries which is a trend I hate with a passion but that’s personal choice I suppose. Onion rings we ordered as extra were delicious. Staff who served us looked like she was heading for the electric chair once her shift was over but she did crack a smile at one point. I appreciate not everyday is a magical experience in life but in customer service, you need to plaster one on anyway really, even if it’s faker than a reality star’s molars.

We have visited the harbour view twice and they have been really friendly and the lunch was lovely food. The macaroni cheese and cauliflower curry soup was really tasty thank you.

Called in here for a few drinks in the evening, did not eat here but enjoyed the reasonably priced drinks in the evening. Very dog friendly, have dog treats to buy at the bar and dog bowls. Good view of the harbour

Waited over an hour for food, not too busy, but there were 11 of us so I expected the food to take a little longer than normal but not that long. 2 dishes were missing, one was a side dish. After reminding staff twice, they eventually brought one missing dish out after we had all finished eating, so one of our party ended up eating on her own, the side dish never came. And the brie and cranberry sandwich turned up without the chips it was meant to come with. They didn't charge us for the missing dishes or the mistake with the sandwich, there were no apologies for the long wait or missing food. The food was average, and aparrently the person who took payment was very abrupt when we asked to split the bill. Hence to say we won't be visiting again.

Food was OK but not great. Our main dishes were mixed bean chilli (OK but nothing special) and fish pie (far too much potatoe, very little fish and fish strange like small cubes of stuff). Pleasant enough, but a bit expensive for the quality of the food. The service from the young waitress was outstanding - quick, friendly, efficient.

Amazing food, best meal we’ve had for a long time. My partner had the whitebait to start which was lovely and the halibut steak from the specials which was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had chilli and garlic prawns to start then the chicken in creamy sauce and it was gorgeous! Defo recommend

8 of us have rocked up with no expectations. The staff were brilliant, prompt and friendly. Food was top notch, must better quality than we were expecting (and we had picky teens as well). Everyone enjoyed their meals and had a lovely time. The teens loved the Pool table and dart board which was out of the way so there was lots of space. The live music was a nice added bonus with a team of acoustic guitarist playing covers, which got the 80 + year old Aunty up and dancing. Fab night was had by all and it made our holiday. Would highly recommend it for afternoon drinks or lunch as well as evening meal. Just off the harbour with lots of parking as well, so ideal location. Highly recommend.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! There was human faeces all by the front door, the rooms smelt like urine. I had my food and the meat was still moving, my wife at the food now she is in critical condition warning warning error in system

We have just returned home from 3 amazing nights at this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, especially Ben and Leah. They made us feel so welcome and they were brilliant with our autistic little boy. Helping him to feel settled, with his slime at the table and PJ'S at breakfast. Honestly nothing was a problem for them and it meant mummy and daddy could enjoy a fab bingo night. We will 💯 be returning in the summer. Thank you all so much ❤️

ACCOMMODATIONS VERY DIRTY , soiled mattresses, sticky carpets, I could go on please DO NOT STAY HERE .

Intended on eating here with my family, it was a very cold and stormy day, two hungry men, and 2 hungry little boys 2&4, looked appealing from the outside… greeted my a very abrupt waitress,telling us that the kitchen closed in the next 5 minutes!!! Totally unprofessional, and very off putting obviously they don’t need the business… to then a man telling her it’s ok… off putting to say the least, made to feel a complete inconvenience… give the place a year, and it will be closed!! Think the waitress needs to work on her people skills, and learn how to interact professionally with customers. Based on this one experience, as first impressions are very important… we would never return here!!! We’ll done!!

The hotel was spotlessly clean the rooms are basic but have everything you need. The staff & Ben the owner are very much on the ball friendly & helpful. The most intriguing & quirky positive part of the hotel is the large interesting bar area which acts like a bar, restaurant, lounge, coffee shop & general hang out community hub fantastic!!!

We chose from the menu waited a while and then the young lady said none of our choices were available (it was a small menu) so my daughter chose vegetable lasagne with a side of chips and me and my son in law chose fish and chips My daughters meal was ok the chips were soggy and oily mine and my son in laws fish and chips were not good the fish inside was nice but the batter was that crisp it was crunchy we both left that the mushy peas ok and the chips soggy as before Very disappointing with the drinks we had roughly £98 Would not recommend

Well, what a lovely location. Came here to eat, hoping for a 'bistro' experience. After all, that's what they call themselves. Decided not to bother. Zero atmosphere, rude staff (everyone knows when sorry means you couldn't give a toss. Felt sorry for the elderly couple who were dismissed by the lady in ripped jeans and a permanent state of shoutiness when they asked about specials. Scruffy, in need of tlc, staff training, and good tidy up. Off to McColls now to see what they've got for my holiday tea.

I looked for last minute dog friendly hotel for a Sunday night and The Harbour was one of the few places that could accommodate us. The rooms clean and had everything that was necessary, it also had kettle, tea, coffee etc and the bed was comfortable. The location is fabulous and the staff are friendly , we had booked another restaurant for dinner and when we returned to Caemas the bar was busy and lively - a bit too busy for our dog and we chose to spend evening at another pub and by the harbour. The bar was quiet when we returned and the breakfast was good. Our dog was made very welcome and I'd recommend The Harbour to anyone who is happy to stay in a building with character - it's also excellent value for money .

We called in early one evening on the off chance they had a table and the young lady that greeted us was very friendly and helpful and sat us at a table straight away. The menu was quite varied and we chose the beef chilli and the chicken breast. It did take about 30 minutes to arrive which was not too much of a problem but when it did it was really tasty. If back in the area I would go back again

Got told to sit down and waited awhile for a menu or someone to come over to us. We then ordered drinks and were given a menu to look at. I was not impressed with the lunch menu as it was just snacks and wasnt overly cheap either. Cheese on toast, burger (no chips etc), nachos etc. When the waitress came back with the drinks and to take our order, I simply stated that we weren't going to order as we were looking for proper food and not snacks. To which she got extremely defensive and shouted back at me not to talk to her like that, which made myself and my mum extremely upset as was just explaining why we had decided not to order. We had decided to have a cake or dessert whilst here instead but will give that a miss as don't want to be talked to like that. Shame it's gone like this as my sister had her wedding here 10 years ago and it was a fabulous place with a friendly atmosphere but just seems to keep going down hill every year. Oh and I had the wrong drink in the end but was still nice so not a bother really.

I and my party of 4 friends ate at your hotel.It was at about 2.00pm. We all ordered different dishes, amongst the orders were fish chowder vegie dish with aubergine another was a steak dish not on bread but baked potatoes..cant remember other dish but my dish was fish and chips.We were sat near the entrance. During my meal when eating the fish I noted some hard bits around the edge of the fish and chose not to eat them and wondered what it might be ,the fish seemed a bit dry. We returned home the following day and I became ill that night. I was not sure what was wrong with so covid tested all was normal. The following day I had symptoms of food poisoning this continued for a few days before `I sought medical attention. My Dr was concerned for me as dehydration due to food poising can easily be fatal for a 73 yr old she advised re hydration re electrolytes.My stools are now in for analysis. (turned out to be Salmonella) I believe the only place I could have caught this infection is from this hotel as we were staying locally and had been self catering.We had all ate the same food except for when we ate ate this hotel. the Manager was uninterested and defensive.

A great welcome for us and our elderly dog. Loads of dogs with their owners no hassle service and a tasty , value for money Sunday carvery. This was perfect to set us up before a bracing coastal walk. No frills, unpretentious, good food , well priced with pleasant , friendly staff. We will return for sure . Louise

Visited this place 4 times during our weeks stay. Once to watch the football in large public bar, once for quiet drink in snug by the other bar and twice to eat. The food was excellent, good portions and averagely priced. Cajun spice is a bit hot but we loved it. Couple of local beers on tap, very friendly staff, would visit again.

Had a lovely family lunch here. There were 2 menus available, one for lunches only but also the full day/evening menu. Both were quite extensive and had many options on. We generally stuck to lunch menu....some Cajun chicken baquettes and flatbread, steak and stilton baquettes. Those were plenty big enough with the fries included. However the battered fish barm was the star of the lunch, a large fish fillet in a bun was perfect. All good portions, well presented and reasonably priced. Definitely a must go if ever in the area. Also dogs are welcome too.

My mum had the seafood linguini last year. Unfortunately her bum exploded when we got home. Wouldn’t recommend. Our meals were lovely though. Nice atmosphere. One of the staff was trying to cop off with my nan. Didn’t work, she doesn’t like men since menopause.

Came here for an evening meal on Thursday night, before I say anything else the food was excellent could not fault it and compliments to the chef. But on arriving we waited an hour for our order to be taken and the place was empty...

Great meal. Really good quality burgers and fish And hips was good too. Good fish and has a welcoming atmosphere.Dogs welcome indoors and tables outside are a real sun trap! Good service and we really enjoyed our meal.

Visting Anglesey,we needed a destination to go out for dinner,the usual place we might have gone back to was fully booked so we did some research and found this wonderful restaurant(Things work out for the best!) called and managed to get a table.Great Parking,picturesque location,comfy...

I had the fish mix .prawns clams ,bass all in a lovely sauce with pasta and garlic bread . My partner had the fish cake . Oth meals we're Extremely tasty and highly reccomended . Service was good too . Manager was pleasant and attentive...

The Gluten-free fish was good, but sadly the chips were burnt, and the mushy peas were cold. It was about 25% full when I went around 2:30 on a Saturday, but the staff seemed very busy, and were making some mistakes with billing. Interior decor...

Ate here yesterday (family of 5) and came away very happy. Food was lovely (save the kids chicken burger which was more appropriate for an adult!) particularly our fish & chips. Service was perfect, tipped accordingly. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area....

Six of us (and a dog) were welcomed and treated to excellent, friendly service. The food was plentiful and delicious. The response to special requests was ‘yes of course, no problem’. We will be going back.

Visited this restaurant on previous visits to Cemaes Bay. Although the bar area can get very rowdy and the language from some of the customers is at times is unacceptable. Providing you are sitting in the Bistro area you can enjoy your meal. The food...

We ate here Saturday and Sunday evenings. All our meals were plentiful and delicious. The menu is very varied and there were lots of dishes that tempted us. On Sunday the menu is a roast dinner type of thing and they stop serving at 6.00pm...

Visited The Harbour on New Years Day and had a great bar lunch in friendly surroundings with both locals and staff.

We had our last meal out here thought we’d treat ourselves to some nice food.The children’s meals were good they had Pasta and my partner had a pie of the day which was very tasty. I had the special which was crab salad and have to say was extremely disappointed it wasn’t what I expected at allHaving had crab at other restaurants normally severed warm as it’s been freshly cooked, it arrived stone cold,obviously been prepared earlier and straight from the refrigerator.The potatoes were nice and the salad but was really disappointed. :(

My friend and I went for a meal on 24th August. Both meals, though totally different, surpassed all expectations. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Will definitely return.

We really really enjoyed it at this lovely restaurant I'm glad we found it. It's situated overlooking the beautiful Cemaes Bay so is an ideal location. The restaurant is very spacious and the service was very good. I unfortunately didn't get the young lady's name, she had brunette hair tied back and she was so friendly with our children and made such an effort with them. We were all super impressed with our meals. We highly recommend the seafood tagliatelle, I think if I could I would have that every night. The sticky toffee pudding is also delightful. The value for money is brilliant too. If we visit Cemaes Bay again we will be back. I might even try another sneaky visit if I can before the end of our visit as they are open all day for snacks, hot drinks and cakes.

Due to covid the tables were well spread out and therefore there was not much of an atmosphere about the place. Mixture of families and couples. Service was prompt and polite. Food was good enjoyable pub food. Whitebait to start and two excellent and generous burgers. Good ale too.

We stayed one night with our small dog. Had the best sea bass I have had in a good while here very very tasty.The staff were lovely really friendly and service was spot on. The rooms could do with some updating and attention but it didn’t stop us having a great stayFive star for food!!

Were to start poor information about hotel from receptionist didn't tell us that the hotel locks up before 10pm on a Sunday had to work out that go up unlit outside stairs to a side door to toilets enter hotel after 10pm . Our room well for start no door number room was in desperate need of updating view from Windows of building materials .bathroom this was like faulty towers you could sit on toilet while showering your feet sink in bedroom not bathroom more like a bedsit than hotel .food chilli pulled beef nachos were awful full of fat and hardly any meat at all .breakfast was only good point except asked for toast didn't get any .I would not stay here ever again unless major improvements

Was suspicious as below 4 out 5 review on google ( just, at 3.9). No need. Food was delicious. Fussy kids had chicken burgers and sausages. Loved it. Adults spinach tagliatelle and sea food chowder. Mouth watering. Staff extremely friendly. Ok, cash only. So what? ATM not far. Would most definitely go back. Well done!

On holiday in Anglesea and my wife did some research on seafood restaurants in the area this had reasonable reviews so booked well in advance.Turned up to find they don’t take cards “Cash only” so we had to go to hole in the wall! Ordered Moules marinières my absolute favourite but when they arrived both plates and moules were freezing cold. Shells were open so obviously cooked long before - the only assumption I can make is that they were prepared and put in the fridge to cook later (not a wise move with fresh mussels) . I ate one which was virtually frozen - I promptly returned the dish and cancelled the rest of the meal.Grooooooo !!!Moulès are very easy and quick to cook - it is very dangerous to reheat seafood. So I will never darken these doors again !! Eat here at your peril!

We sat outside, on a very hot day, the tables had parasols to keep us out of the sun, staff were excellent, the atmosphere was relaxed. I had steak and Stilton hot salad, and it was fantastic, the rest of the family had burgers which they all enjoyed, they were very large,(burgers not the family) covid restrictions were in place, we will definitely return. The card payment wasn't working when we visited, but the waitress advised us where the nearest cashpoint was. The toilets were nice and clean.

Managed to get one meal here.It was excellent, a much larger burger than i expected and reasonable price. Staff shortages because of Covid but all worked tirelessly to provide a good service.Unfortunately could not get another meal because of enforced closure of the hotel.

We visited yesterday on another lovely sunny day. We chose to eat outside and were told to choose our table and the waitresses would come to us. My flat white coffee was disappointing, but the cask ale was excellent, as was our fish baps and fries..served on lovely plates. Apart from the good food and surroundings, what shone out for us here was exceptional service from a whole team of people, from arrival to payment. In these covid restricted times how refreshing to feel so relaxed, welcomed, and normal!! We'll be back.

Went for an evening meal last night, not great. Restaurant prices for a greasy cafe experience, sticky dirty table yts staff and average food. Seafood linguine seemed to be missing the most expensive component (lobster) although it could have been hiding under all the muscle shells on my plate....a bowl or a plate for the shells isn't a lot to ask for is it? Wife's sea bass was ok'ish but after asking for black pepper having a few tiny sachets thrown on the table just about topped it off.

The food here always leaves me wanting more - even though I've had a 3-course meal. LOLThe menu here is outstanding as are the friendly staff.A perfect dog-friendly venue that overlooks the bay, where we can go for a walk after the meal and enjoy the views Cemaes offers.Highly recommended to anyone who asks.

We called in to this lovely place yesterday for just a bowl of soup but we ended up having a meal , there was an offer buy two meals get cheapest free would have been silly not to. The food was delicious , I had lasagna with a lovely fresh salad and my husband had a fish finger salad. The inside is fresh and modern , minimal but in a lovely way , very clean and felt very safe. Lovely staff . Definitely recommend

Eaten many times over the years. Ate there last Friday and it has improved greatly. Pulled pork burger was lovely and my companions food all looked great as well. Good service from Tommy and overall very impressed.

Had the chicken burger and garlic mushroom soup. The views over the bay were great, sadly, did find hairs in the burger and nieces garlic king starter :( the staff were amazing, and took this off the bill, but slightly off putting.

Lovely view and location but poor customer service, lady at bar had a bee in her bonnet and an attitude. Food was mediocre but had to remind them to bring 3 items and food had gone cold by the time we had reminded them to bring cutlery (waitress not to blame probably needed more guidance) and my food ended up on the floor.. so just got a refund and left

We had a bite to eat for lunch today. The building is in need of some major updating which almost put us off- but I’m glad it didn’t because the food was really nice! Pleasantly surprised.

Just got back from this hotel and ate in the restaurant whist staying there. The food is excellent, there's a great range of beers wines and spirits and the staff are excellent. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, well decorated and very dog friendly.

The menu was poor. Chicken wings and burgers mainly. Even they were awful. Tasteless chicken and the burgers were dry. The very young staff tried their best, but there was clearly no management. Very disappointing to say we had looked up the menu before hand and really fancied the place based on what we saw. The menu was completely different to the website. Thankfully, we got 50% off because of the eat out to help out deal. Will never go again. Gross.

Well we had dinner as a family here this week and it was not a slick operation by any means. We had initially booked a table outside and then the day before changed to inside due to the weather forecast. Whoever had replied to my request to move inside had not updated the system so there was a real unprofessional cuffafle to find us a table. The young staff waiting on had not been briefed at all, we were not shown the specials until after we ordered and three of us ordered a pie from the menu they had run out of so after our order was taken we had to look and choose again, it was at this point we were shown the specials!!My Mum asked what the white wine was by the glass and the waitress said she didn’t know and stood there until we asked if she could find out.Another member of staff returned with the bottle saying what it was but didn’t know where it was from, we read on the bottle it said Wine of Chille. Not everyone is as fussy maybe but it would be helpful to put up a blackboard by the bar with the beers and wines that are on.Our visit was saved by the chef and kitchen staff as the meals were very tasty.Our evening was topped off by being given a bill for approx £90 when they were doing the ‘eat out to help out’ offer and when we questioned it we ended up paying approx £60!!!!All in all pretty disappointing, so much potential as inside the decor was nice and the food was good, but someone needs to sort out front of house.

My partner and I went in to the Harbour Bistro this afternoon to have a late lunch (served from 12-3). The lunch menu was expansive and all sounded delicious. I chose the fish and chips and my partner chose the fish finger sandwich. Our meals were the perfect size for lunch and was served piping hot and tasted very fresh. 100% recommend eating and drinking here.

Food excellent , hosts amazing, comfy and warm room, well recommend the stay and breakfast amazing !

Half cooked fish and chips and the place ran out of beer, really not very good - the saving grace was they had sky sport.

Myself and my husband regularly visit The Harbour when we come to Cemaes. The staff are lovely the food is brilliant and the locals are always welcoming. We don’t usually like to leave reviews as we prefer to be “old fashioned” and give our feedback directly to the business! But in this case we have decided it was needed. Yes the hotel is little dated and in need of an upgrade. But it’s clean, tidy and the atmosphere is always brilliant!Yes I’m occasions there has been times when we have waited for food, on a busy Saturday night. But no longer than was expect! Keep up the good work Harbour!

After looking at the menu on the website we decided to come for a meal There was not enough parking had to park on the street outside We had booked but when we arrived table not set and cutlery was just put on table for us to sort We got a menu but was nothing like wot was on the website and anything that was the had a big price increase Service was slow especially when it came to sort the bill The food was ok clean plates all round Would not have come if known menu had changed so much

Visited for the last evening of our weeks holiday in Cameas. There was my husband and I and my sister and her husband who joined us, we also had both our dogs with us. We had booked and got a lovely window area with plenty of room for the dogs (added bonus that dogs are welcome). Lovely meal with lovely service. If I recall rightly my brother in law ordered a weird fish main and this was on the small side, cannot remember just what it was other than it was bit 'tight'. Apart from that smashing.My husband and my self had called for several pints during the week and sat outside with the dog the bar staff and regulars were also very friendly. Good place.

It was quiet when we booked but when we went back for 7.30 the place was heaving. The nose was incredible, sticky tables and an overall speedy ambience. The waitress showed us to our table and said someone would come along to take our order. Waited ages and saw other people going to the bar to get served, Noise got to us and we went out,.

Can’t see what everyone seems to be complaining about? My wife and I often visit Anglesey and decided to try Cemaes for the day, the village itself is picturesque with beautiful beaches and great pubs, the harbour hotel was a delight. I enjoyed a Beef Dinner while my wife had a delicious fish pie and couldn’t fault it one bit, staff were constantly attentive and bright and we look forward to returning. Heard a lot of people saying some negative comments about this hotel but we couldn’t fault it hence why I am happy to write my first review on TripAdvisor.Simon.

To the gentlemen who left a bad review! U was completely out of order, very aggressive and verbal towards the bar staff and yes the locals did stand up and say you was out of order. You should have handled the situation a lot more appropriately...as for your awful meal, your partner seemed to thoroughly enjoy the meal served and finished it all!! I was sat with my young child at the time you started to become aggressive also a lot of other families were present and offended by your behaviour!!! Well done to the staff on shift as handled very professionally and apologised to all others diners at the time. We enjoyed our meals, thankyou harbour hotel.

Food was terrible! Waitress took away my main course with a promise of a refund. When my wife paid at the bar they told her "the chef said there was nothing wrong with the food" and charged her for the bad food. I went to the bar to complain and was verbally abused by local hooligans. We left under threats! Zero stars!

We regularly come to Cemaes bay and always look forward to visiting the harbour. Myself, my partner and our children always have a great time and we are well looked after here. This time I went for the ‘Hot’ madras and it was one of the nicest curries I have ever had in my life, absolutely amazing! Food is always fresh and home cooked. Service is always brilliant and the staff are so friendly and bubbly they really are a credit to the business. Can’t wait to return during the summer holidays

Fabulous place enjoyed our stay, even had balcony sea view! Nice basic rooms, with full facilities. Pet friendly, good value for money, fabulous food in the restaurant. Hearty breakfast included in price. Will stay again. Only grumble was that the beds really do need renewing!

Ordered the gammon with honey glaze & chunky homemade chips, no glaze and poor sad chips that had black lines through them and skins on, so NOT chips, lasagna with garlic bread with was poorly flavoured and no garlic, Salmon with sautéd potatoes was lovely, we did complain, waitress was very apologetic but heard her tell the manager who’s reply was “ok” received bill with nothing taken off, a word of advice don’t eat here, for a drink with a view it’s fine, food at The Stag across the road is 100% better

We have been having meals at the Harbour Hotel for the last 20 years and they are getting better and better. I am not one for writing reviews but just had to, when I saw the review by Appletc88. To be blunt anyone just reading the review can tell they are serial whingers and were just after a discount. I would suggest in future they take the family for a meal at Mcdonalds or KFC, probably more in their price range too ! Here is a true review. Always good food, always pleasant and competent staff. Always good value for money !!!

We stoped here after a walk along the coastal path. Well kept beer! Lovely food,brilliant atmosphere! The staff were lovely especially Our waitress Maria!

We went to the harbour for a family meal for my great grandson ,the table was booked for us but we still had to wait nearly two hours for our meals.i choose sea bass but with it on the menu it had shellfish sauce I asked our waiter if there would be any shell fish on my plate he said no but when it came there was .one of the meals had a hair in it another one who had duck which when it came it was cold also another one had gammon which was only warm the manger came to the table but wasn’t very nice to begin with however she did apologise and took money off our bill but this did spoil the evening.

Booked a table of 15 for my son's 11th Birthday. We have had many meals here so we were looking forward to a nice evening out.

Called in for lunch as touring the island on our motorcycles . Lovely warm welcome from the guy behind the bar . Lovely food and great service. Will definitely be back ! Thank you

Popped here for a bit to eat ordered a beef & horseradish sandwich Served with horseradish) and a cajun chicken ciabatta. The service was so slow that we had to order a second drink. Food was OK but had to ask for the horseradish!

We ate here as part of a weeks family holiday going through a good selection of the menu from steak to chicken ribs and ham egg and chips.

Superior pub grub in the Bistro with views of the Cemaes Bay from the seats in the window.

Good food and average selection of beer. However I think was a little Expensive for the quality received. Worth a stop but could be better. Also dirty seating area and could do with some tlc in places.

A nice change to having a Chinese takeaway, meal was good with only a limited choice, not like a takeaway menu! But the options covered were more than sufficient. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the only reason I haven't given 5 stars was the slower than normal service.. that wasnt so slow I wouldn't go again though !!

Visited here twice in the last few days. First visit, at lunchtime, was excellent. Great food, great service & good selection to suit everyone. So, we visited again, this time for an evening meal. Menu was the same - so still happy with the options but thought it would be a different menu (based on their website). Food was again delicious & really great portion sizes, though service was not as good! Had to wait ages to be asked if we wanted dessert & decided to leave rather than wait any longer. Seems like the staff are not really used to busy service but we annoy knock the food - very good & would recommend a visit is you are looking for somewhere in the Cemaes Bay Area.

Called in for a quick lunch while in Cemaes, staff very friendly but premises are somewhat tired. A well kept pint of Doombar, food very ordinary both in quality and presentation.

We are local to the harbour and often eat there and decided to try their new Chinese weekend , A novelty for us as locals was having it as a takeaway .It was ordered 7 pm for 8pm it was ready on the dot . was hot beautifully cooked and tasty. 4 different starters and 4 different mains 2 deserts . could not fault anything about the whole meal. We hope this continues as a good takeaway is needed for locals and holiday people alike . Well done the Harbour newish team trying so hard.

Nothing exceptional from the outside but recommeded by the pub in the village that was not serving lunch as a dog friendly place. The waitress could not have been more helpful and we were made welcome straightaway and given a table with great views over the bay. We both had fish chowder which was one of the best I have had and I have tried them in quite a few places. Not a huge quantity but just right with warm ciabata bread and finger bowls. The good service continued throughout the meal and the price was very reasonable. Really shows don't judge a book by its cover.

Dinner was well prepared and efficiently served. A good set of options and the dessert was particularly tasty. It appears that food is only served after 6:00pm

Monday night on Cemaes in March doesn't present many eating out options! The Harbour was the only alternative we could find not the central village as the pub was shut due to illness! The food was ok - the pie only had a lid but blimey it was an excessively massive lid! Chips - hmmm bit too soggy. Also a long wait of 40 minutes for food.

I came here with my aunty for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was full of locals who were super friendly along with really helpful staff. The food was lovely and served in a timely manner.

Was not impressed by the standard of food, the service was attentive but the price too high for the standard of food served.

This Bistro caters for all tastes from Gluten free to Vegan, for others steaks, fish, and pasta, with a children's menu. All food is well cooked, tasty and served hot. A must for the hungry traveller.

I visited with family tonight and was looking forward to have food. As I have a severe nut allergy I must be careful what I choose. The food I wanted couldn’t be guaranteed nut free or anything much else appart from a proccessed burger! Very disappointed with the lack of knowledge. Felt excluded from my group.

We don't normally go in pubs at lunch time- too gloomy. This was not ! It was the only place that was busy in Cemaes on a very windy cold November Tuesday . Some people were eating late breakfast type dishes some were drinking coffees and some were ordering lunches. We sat in the conservatory end of the bar lounge which has a great view of the seafront. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered an egg mayonnaise sandwich on seed bread plus a portion of chips to share plus a pot of tea for two. (price £11 ish) The sandwich came with a generous amount of salad including strawberries and a grape, crisps and coleslaw. The sandwich was stuffed to the gunnels with egg and mayonnaise. . Presentation was excellent. Food was fresh and tasty. Chips very welcome having been walking for hours along a cold gale-swept Anglesey coast path. Three women came in after us with four dogs in tow. No-one batted an eye. The dogs were very well behaved and lay down quietly - we had seen them hours before running along the coastpath near Cemlyn bird reserve. People and dogs needed a rest! This pub provided it .

Initially difficult to get to the bar on entering, there were many locals all sat on stools and no free space. Menu was ok, started with camembert which was like rubber the remaining starters was good. Main course fish pie was really nice and a selection of different fish, although could not find any mussels. Service was ok but nothing special. We had intended to go back but didn't had a take away pizza instead from else where in the village.

A bit disappointed by this eatery - setting and views were great, but service was rather offhand, and the food was ok but unimaginative. Wouldn’t rush back.

The dinner meal was very good. The server could have been a bit more attentive as I had to wait for long periods to be able to get her attention.
