Dined at the Hayloft 13/3 2024 with my husband and we were not impressed with the set meal .Starters were ok but the maincourse of steak pie for me was dissapointing with very hard pastry and my husbands meal of curry was poor. The puddings were a bit strange as my husband had a fruit tart with an odd mix of fruit which included a large piece of pomegranite !

We ordered a mixed box of 6 for ÂŁ15 and couldnât even finish them as they were so bad. The toppings tasted like they had been left open in the fridge for a long time, the brownie itself was a horrible rubbery texture and bland taste. Such a shame as the brownies look very appealing and the shop front was inviting

We ordered the basket meals for lunch, there was a choice of four - ÂŁ8.50 each, very generous portions and was a great snack for midday. Friends had a meal from the main menu, which was nice and again generous portions. Drinks were reasonable price for beer/cider. Food came out very quickly too. Outside seating area was nice, inside the pub and toilets were a bit dated but staff were friendly.

Unprofessional doormen who attempted to escort a 50+ yr old woman out because she fell on a slippery dance floor in a private event with professional people. Very disappointed in their handling of a situation. Chief doorman gained some respect back by his handling of the situation. More concerned with bureaucracy than human interaction. Very disappointed.

We ate here one evening as a group. We knew it was simply pizza and after Paddleboarding thought it would be the best option. The tables needed to be cleaned thoroughly as they were sticky and grimey but we made do with the spills being wiped up and the fabric chairs were disgusting with food/dirt ground into the chair arms, back and seat. We werenât off to a good start but it was soon to get worst. The pizzas were either undercooked and cold in the middle or burnt black. Really disappointing. We had to send multiple back to be replaced or cooked for longer. The server was apologetic but offered no compensation. The price of the pizza was ÂŁ11.95 and way overpriced priced. Iâd have been disappointed for the quality at ÂŁ5 per pizza so we felt well and truly ripped off. We had a great day at Adventure Snowdonia so it was no reflection on the place but it was a very disappointing end to our day.

This place doesnât look like much. Itâs a bit run down and not exactly welcoming but we always call in when on holiday for their sandwiches and sausage rolls. Fresh bread rolls. We always have ham, salad and coleslaw baps. Proper thick ham. Seems to be where the Welsh locals get their lunch! Definitely worth popping in for a sandwich and very well priced. ÂŁ12 for 3 baps and a sausage roll! Canât go wrong!

Popped in for dinner after a swim at the Nova. The prices are great, the portions good and the staff were so friendly. We got two meals for the kids, drinks all around for little over a tenner and the kids enjoyed the arcade. It's definitely going to become one of our regulars. The menu is pretty classic beachside cafe food, they have soft serve ice creams and they do pup cups đ

Not a great experience this Friday 12th Jan. I'm a regular visitor to Starbucks Aberystwyth and usually really like it there: very friendly, relaxed, efficient, clean plus nice and warm and cosy in winter. Unfortunately last Friday I had a miserable experience and it's really put me off the place, though hoping this was just a one off! Bought my coffee and sat down as usual and a member of staff who I had never seen before was pulling about the chairs and tables, kept moving them about around me, loud scraping on the floor etc , it was like being on a construction site! It wasn't just one chair and table that he was moving about but appeared to be most of the cafe other than where I was sitting and around others sitting there - can't imagine why as all looked fine and as it normally does when I went in. Also surely if he must do this then do it when the cafe is empty not full of paying customers. He was huffing and puffing about as if in a bad mood which was also not appealing and he was constantly opening the Main door wide open and leaving it like that - I heard him saying to other staff 'It's too hot in here' which was ridiculous as it was absolutely freezing out and it was so cold in there all the customers were wearing their coats! I also heard him chuntering to the other staff about this and that which was also not professional in front of customers. Never seen him before and hope to not see him again!! Ruined the lovely vibe there completely. Certainly won't be going back if he is a regular fixture now!!

Three of us booked for Sunday lunch. Hubby and I chose the lamb, which was absolutely scrumptious. Grandson, who is vegetarian chose the nut roast (no other option). The selection of vegetables was okay - peas, carrots, cabbage and swede. An option of cauliflower cheese would have been nice - at an extra cost. It was however, disappointing not to have a Yorkshire pudding. It seems that they only come with the beef. My grandson in particular would have liked one - he didnât have any roast potatoes either, which I think is ridiculous. It was a very tasty dinner with real gravy but for the price yorkies should have come as standard.
