Central Beach Cafe in Denbighshire

Popped in for dinner after a swim at the Nova. The prices are great, the portions good and the staff were so friendly. We got two meals for the kids, drinks all around for little over a tenner and the kids enjoyed the arcade. It's definitely going to become one of our regulars. The menu is pretty classic beachside cafe food, they have soft serve ice creams and they do pup cups 😍

Disgusting staff Rand disgusting attitude avoid like the plague!! I wanted something correcting on my order a refund/a different product I was then told I was refused to be served all because it wasn't something I ordered or stated on the menu me and ine of the waiters was made to feel really uncomfortable what I can only describe as a manager? Food wasn't even nice tasted like cardboard save your money eat elsewhere I say you will 10000% get better service and greeted with smiles instead of looks of disgust when you ask or an extra ketchup sachet which is priced 20p which was worth 5p on a good day AVOID!!!

After being turned away from Karl’s chippy in Prestatyn we were pleased to still be able to eat in at The Arcade cafe by the beach. They appreciate that turning dog owners away is not a very profitable idea.

This a good little arcade and cafe, dog friendly too outdoors and indoors. Good location, right next to the beach and a great play area and mini golf nearby too for children. Good for entertainment, and food and drinks in cafe are very budget friendly but good portions and good taste. Friendly service, great place for locals and holiday makers.

Great value basic menu but all nice, serves up chips&fish, pies sausage ect, ALSO YOU CAN JUST HAVE A COFFEE

What a great cafe ,such good value for money, chips and pie only £4 ,cup of tea for £1 Well cooked ,friendly staff and decent portion . Will be visiting again

We went to this cafe for a snack to take onto the beach. The prices were very reasonable. There wasn't many vegetarian options and no vegan options from what I could see on the menu. Our food was average so all-in-all fine for the money.

Love this little gem. Holiday food but its so nice! Icecreams, chips, that kind of thing. They've got me hooked on cheesy chips and gravy. 🤣 Its also an amusement arcade and a play park. Eat indoors or out. Very reasonably priced. Nice staff too!

Nice staff. Good food. Great prices. I recommend the cheesy chips and gravy. We sat outside by the kids park. Bins available for the rubbish and the place is kept clean and tidy. A mini arcade inside for added fun!

Came for lunch after walking ng the beach. Had the five pound fish and chips. (nothing special but nice and cheap) was appalled at the 90p extra for a serving spoon of beans. You can buy two cans for that but never mind. Just a pity all the staff were on their phones constantly. My server couldn't even put hers away when she got my food. Then later watched her blatantly showing her comrades behind the counter something whilst a woman wanted to be served. I know its quiet on the rainy days but try be a little more discrete.

Absolutely brilliant cafe ,meals are great,prices are great ,lovely good owner and all staff are very nice very clean and tidy.

Dirty hovel with crap overpriced pig slop they call food your best giving the dirty hole a wide berth

Very friendly and polite staff. Ate here twice while on holiday. Food good, quick service, all staff polite will recommend to friends. Reasonable priced for the whole family

Enjoyed two meals here with our dog during our short holiday. Great food (including a vegetarian breakfast)and and a great welcome.

Didn’t have anything to eat But loved the way the sauces were arranged When we do eat here I’m having red sauce and maybe brown I may have mustard too but not the Mayo I don’t like Mayo The girls go to a lot of trouble to arrange the sauces Haven’t eaten here yet I don’t want to rearrange the sauces

We stayed at a caravan site just 5 minutes away from the beach and waves cafe ,I went for a walk most mornings this week and called for a drink at the café , during the week ,I've had a latte ,a milky coffee and hot chocolate ,all the drinks were made excellent ,a nice clean cafe ,and I didn't have to wait to be served ,as there were efficient staff on.next visit ,I intend to try the breakfast ,it's a no frills cafe and very reasonably priced ,I enjoyed my morning drinks there very much.

The staff were not helpful when asked about coffee instead I got a crappy cup of instant and a tea in mugs advertising illy! The mugs are dangerous in that one finger fits in the handle, they heat up to burn your one finger and slip spilling the contents to further scald the same finger. And there are no toilets.

We have used this cafe for hot drinks many times over the last few years. The gent in charge was polite and took our order quickly and efficiently. Two young girls then took over behind the counter. They spent the next ten minutes looking at their phones. They barely looked away from their phones to take orders. This kind of customer service has left mr annoyed and for that reason, I will not return. They were plain rude.

Been there 4 times this week. Very impressed. Good food. Good prices. Friendly staff. Evan serves doggy ice cream :). Would definatly reccomend.

A day trip planned for the family. I wanted to bring back memories of fish and chips on the front. What I got was oven fish and chips which were worse than the ones I do at home. Awful food put a real downer on the day. I couldn't eat them, they were so bad.

Not nice. Staff impolite and all stood behind counter on their phones. Very unprofessional. Typical seaside cafe inside.

Thought we'd try to find the sea front from the retail park, dodging the hail! Popped in to Waves as wind blowing through you on the walk, £1 very welcome cup of tea! Just got in before closing at 5pm, quite empty but out of season

A great cafe, right next to the beach. Not expensive, and good food. Also sell usual ice cream, slushy as well as bucket and spades and other beach items. The cafe is situated in an amusement arcade. Cafe staff are brilliant and friendly. I would have given 5* but unfortunately the nearwst toilets are a short walk away and not in the cafe, and with 2 five year old girls was a bit of a trek. Otherwise no issues with the cafe and would recommend to anyone

We popped in during a family walk found the food there was cheap and of a good standard. We had a bit of time in the arcade too and found it refreshing to find prize every time teddy grabbers £5/£4/£1 and not one token machine in site. We would defiantly return as plenty to do with the park also outside for a nice day and the nova centre opposite

My wife and I stopped off at this Café for a coffee and bacon roll on a sunny but cold February morning.The Café was busy considering it was a Sunday in February but the service was prompt and friendly and the bacon roll was provided to us without a long wait.The two bacon rolls and two coffees were surprisingly inexpensive (about 50% cheaper than we would have paid in a café in Oxfordshire).The café areas were clean and tidy even though it was busy and not over staffed.The only down side was that there were no toilet facilities within the actual café and any need for such a facility required a visit to the leisure centre next door

I love the arcade and the cafe is good for ice cream and reasonable priced drinks and snacks but no meals for vegetarians, just a naked potato which I could have done in the caravan. It's the 21st century and some of us dont eat meat.

Sadly this place takes advantage of the fact you are a captive audience at the beach.

Great little cafe next to the beach, also does take away, ice creams etc, nothing is overpriced, bacon baps £2.20 mug of tea £1, staff very friendly, spotlessly clean, would definitely recommend. 😊

As a resident of Prestatyn, and living within 400 yards of the beach, this little cafe is a great stop before going on a walk along the beach. Offers a range of food at reasonable prices. Also has a 5 star hygiene rating. Cannot fault.

Primero de todo no soy un quejica y me encanta Prestatyn. Pregunta. . Lo difícil es. para hacer un tostado teacake. . . . Extremadamente difíciles en las olas de la cafetería. Fue para que mis nietos y llegó después de 10 minutos de quemados. Pregunté si podrían hacer otra y me dijeron que sí. La segunda era peor que la primera, fue posiblemente la misma. Me di vuelta y la chica nos dijo "quiero, dinero". Me dijo que no, gracias, pero para ser honesto me dio vergüenza por toda la situación que llevó 20 minutos. Quizás conseguir algo personal que no son adolescentes y tener un poco de orgullo en su trabajo

Went today for an ice cream and a drink, it wasn't too busy and the staff were very helpful. One of their specialities was "Buy a bucket of chips and keep the bucket" Cheap eats and fast service,

Llamamos para un aperitivo y nos sorprendió gratamente. El café era luminosa limpio y bien ventilado, pero un poco ruidoso debido a la galería al lado. La comida era estándar, hamburguesas de pescado y patatas fritas desayuno durante todo el día excelente relación calidad-precio. Teníamos pescado y patatas fritas y hamburguesa y patatas fritas con té y nos sirvieron muy rápido (10 minutos), la comida estaba caliente y no grasienta. Nos gustó mucho, el café era luminosa limpia y bien ventilada, a menos de 2 minutos de la playa. El único inconveniente era la falta de aseos más cercano eran los baños públicos una buena 150 metros detrás del centro de nova, hemos ido varias veces desde entonces y la comida y el servicio es siempre coherente.

Comida de la cafetería de alimentos básicos, pero muy buenos precios excelentes, el desayuno daría 10/10 sólo desearía que abrió antes de las 10 de la mañana

stopped here for a quick brew while we waited for the crazy golf to open, nice service and decent prices, the only strange thing was the lack of toilets, i thought places that served food had to have toilet facilities? as it is the only toilets are at the far end of the Nova Centre approx 120 yards away.

Out on a cold walk along the beach n found this little gem, food cooked fresh and staff very friendly. Place clean with a playground out the front for the kiddies oh and an arcade so be warned lol

Excellent service, value for money.The Hosts are very warm and welcoming a great place just of the beach, very family oriented. Would recommend to anyone going to Wales to go to this café as I would defiantly visit again. Value for money on children's portions so well worth taking the children and there is also a place for the kids to play which makes it really nice.

What a find! Fabulous stocked shop, lovely food and excellent service in the cafe. Spotlessly clean and the staff were really friendly. Play area outside in good working order - one for younger ones and another for the older kids. Amusements indoors all clean and in good working order.

My partner and I visited this café on Saturday 28th March 2015 on our first visit to the area. We ordered hot drinks at the counter, but were not impressed - the tea consisted of a tea bag placed in a cheap, thick mug, and it took some time to draw out of person serving us where we could get milk and dispose of the tea bag. Then we asked where the customer toilets were. She answered "10 minutes down the road". We did at first think this was a poor attempt at a joke, especially as she offered no further explanation and walked away. My partner therefore wandered around the café looking for the toilets, but with no success, so I went back to the counter and spoke to another employee, who explained that they had no toilets and usually directed customers to public toilets across the road, but that these were out of commission for several months due to refurbishment of the sea front. I do not think this situation is acceptable in a café of this size, which is clearly frequented by families with young children, who may well need to use washing facilities after a spillage or nappy changing facilities. I hope it will be addressed before the tourist season starts in earnest, as visitors from other areas such as ourselves have no clue where to find alternative public toilets.

Brilliant honest cafe, really friendly staff and good value - excellent location just on the beach and lots of tables outside. They sell a variety of food from snacks to meals as well as ice cream and lollies, candy floss and buckets and spades for the beach - highly recommend the chips and a lovely brew! Well done keep up the good work!

Good cup of tea and friendly service, close by to lots of fun things for the little ones to do. Lots of quirky gifts to buy too.
