Accommodation very good for a short break in llangollen. Small but exceptionally clean room. Just totally refurbished. Exceptional value for money. Parking very close at local church. Dont use the parking machine or Ap. Call the parking company direct to Taylor your parking needs, they are very helpful

We probably picked the wrong day/time to visit here as it was practically empty. Not much atmosphere. Seem to remember it being alright years ago.

My son and I stayed the night as part of our Offa's Dyke walk. It was a Friday night and to be fair the website made clear the pub was lively until midnight over the weekend. The room was actually very nice, clean and modern. The issue was the noise. This would be perfect for a stag weekend or for anyone who plans to go to bed after midnight. Before that the music is floor-shakingly heavy and conversations can be heard clear as day through the walls. We didn't even go into the pub so can't comment on the food or drinks. For us, a bit of a nightmare.

Lovely beer garden out back and a very spacious pub. Locals were pleasant and the two girls behind the bar were lovely. Looks tiny from the outside but is massive inside.

I stayed in a room for a couple of nights. Although the pub was closed, the room was clean, functional, and good value for money. Room had a kettle, TV, and clothes rack. I wouldn’t necessarily stay here for a romantic weekend, but it suited me well as a base to go walking from. It was just a stone’s throw from the town centre. A minor niggle is the parking, but there are several places to park nearby at £4 for 24 hrs.

Bit rough round the edges but great atmosphere and service.

What a place, I come to Wales for fly fishing. But one night we headed off out. Found a few great pubs but this was outstanding. Thanks

Called in with family, lovely pub with a big screen in the back yard for sports, dartboard, pool table also staff are very friendly will be back soon enough. Thought I'd update this review as I forst wrote this a year ago, called in again the 2nd of January & still a lovely place family friendly & staff are wonderful!

Great night time atmosphere. Fair priced beer, about average for the area. Overall solid night life local.

A great little pub on the top road of Llangollen. Seating shaded area outside. Pool table. A small choice of ales and ciders. Enough just for a quick drink. Staff very chatty and service great.

I haven’t done a review on trip adviser for a long time, but stopping off at this pub for a meal yesterday has made me come back. The food was excellent, the plates warm and the size of the portions great. And I couldn’t believe the very reasonable price. my all day breakfast was so generous, with delicious mushrooms, 2 eggs cooked to perfection, tasty sausages, lovely tomatoes beans toast/fried bread etc etc. the toast was so tasty, I think it might have been finished off in the pan. delicious all round. My friend had curry and rice, with a lovely fresh side salad, popadom and chutney. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we sat in the sun in the outside area. I don’t ever expect much from pub food and cant stand the overpriced so call gastro pubs. But this pub was excellent. With beers the whole bill for 2 was under £18 . the Moretti beer was good too. I would highly recommend this pub!

The pub from Star wars has nothing on this place.... AVOID

Friendly locals pub with a couple of rooms internally and a covered courtyard area to the rear. Decent pub for the sport this one as there are several screens dotted around including a fairly large one in the outside area. Cant comment on the food as I was only here for the beer and in that respect its an outlet for the local Llangollen brewery from what I could see and two hand pump on the small bar were badged with their products. Unfortunately the pump dispensing Llangollen Bitter was reversed leaving only Welsh Black bitter available, which was decent enough dark bitter, but at 5.5% not really a session ale, so it was one and off for me.

Excellent pub. Birra Moretti on draught very good. Plenty of TV Screens for sport. Plenty of customers enjoying food. Contented non noms a plenty 👍

Clean and tidy but poor selection of beers at the bar and just lots of youngsters falling about drunk and getting into arguments.

Love the Prince of Wales. Watching Liverpool v Chelsea. Awesome locals.

Great pub - served us well over our weekend in llangollen. Cosy bar, clean toilets, friendly staff. Food looks good and good value, we'll try some next visit here.

Stopped off for steak and chips, was well cooked and worth it money, will be coming again. A nice friendly pub.

My husband and I had a meal here today steak chips and peas ...it arrived on a very large cold plate ..everything completely cold ...I did tell the girl serving behind the bar ...she said that she would tell the chef....that was it....Nothing ...spent £20.00 for cold food that we certainly could not eat ....VERY DISAPPOINTED..

Called in her for a beer before going for food somewhere, BUT,saw the menu and decided to try. Have to say the menu is limited and does not carry a vegetarian option... yet. I had a steak my wife had chicken in a basket. They were delicious and well presented with fresh battered onion rings. The prices are very reasonable bordering on cheap but beautifully prepared and cooked. We'll worth the value

Big Signs outside promoting happy hour, when inside they say oh we don't do that anymore, false and misleading advertising, think there is a law against that, asked about a lager on tap oh we don't do that anymore, have you booked, they said no but the the place was empty, oh you can sit at table 14 order on the app table 14 was taken of the 2 tables with someone on was expensive, beer wasn't that cold, wasn't made to feel welcome, wouldn't recommend and would never go again

Best pub we visited in Llangollen. Plenty of atmosphere & best of all, no Covid-19 overkill.

This was like a little hogsmeade out of harry potter or something, me and my sister's really enjoyed it. There's a little fire and they sell every type of pot noodle :). The bar staff were slammed though, so waiting time was a bit much. They could do with more staff. Staff were friendly and turned the juke box up for us. Open late *edit* - reviewed the wrong pub! must have been a good night! In fairness we went here as well and had a really good time too so keeping the rating the same.

Called in every day over our 3 day break in Llangollen. Well arranged and social distancing rulea. Hand sanitizer everywere . Great welcome from the 2 ladies on duty Card only and out door seating as of covid. A small variety of drinks available not a problem for us. Dogs welcome with open hugs. Ladies working there very friendly , helpful and polite. Credit too the management at the pub. .we defiantly recommend here will return. Keep safe . See you soon. (We used the toilets inside 1 by 1due to covid- inside looked a pub with character)

Next door to the church car park, this pub serves 2 real ales. Homely pub, deceptively roomy inside. Opens at 4pm of Friday’s. Small side area to right hand side of bar. Left hand side, small bar down a few steps, is a big roomy area with pool table & darts board. Games machine in front bar area left hand side, as is TV on left hand side wall. TV & music not to my liking at all. Too much modern loud annoying music.

Good night out, often has live music.

Enjoyed a few evenings here during a short break. The pub has happy hour between 5-7pm, offering selected beers for £2 a pint. We were allowed to take our dog in. Good for playing pool. Toilets clean. Nice welcome and a lovely open fire.

Just returned from a few days to Llangollen and we spent a few evenings here. A lovely pub, made to feel very welcome, would defiantly recommend this pub.

The two bouncers that met us at the door were friendly enough! We were just a bit concerned to see them there at all.. I suppose it must reflect on the pub but in a quiet little town like llangollen it was a bit disappointing. We didn't stay long

First thing to mention is the excellent customer service. Nothing too exciting to look at and popular with families (nothing wrong with that - we're now child-free and over sensitive). Nice pub menu, good quality and value.

I think that says more about Llangollen than the pub itself! Friday night DJ is really quite amusing, Dave's mobile DJ style...

Part of the Dee valley Ale trail, this was the most disappointing pub of the day. Dingy and cramped, staff serving far out of order, 20 something lads seem to have priority, even when they're standing behind you at the bar. Rowdy behaviour seems to be the norm, it's disconcerting on entering here that the first thing you see is a large sign saying the have a zero tolerance to violence.....shouldn't that go without saying? Although the scuffles outside the building were ignored by staff. Plus points keeping it from scoring a one. Coal fire. Ale was top notch. Neither point is enough to ever make us return though

Pub was empty until we arrived, the lad behind the bar put everything back on for us as it was very late. Very polite and helpful.
