Unprofessional doormen who attempted to escort a 50+ yr old woman out because she fell on a slippery dance floor in a private event with professional people. Very disappointed in their handling of a situation. Chief doorman gained some respect back by his handling of the situation. More concerned with bureaucracy than human interaction. Very disappointed.

Well I was at a do in the 3 lamps and most of us ordered the pulled pork sandwich, Priced at £7.95 what a lot of money for two 3’’ slices of warm bread meagre pieces of belly pork mostly apple sauce some wilted lambs leaf garnish, and a small dollop of purple coleslaw utterly horrible. If your going to charge these prices make sure it’s worth it , that loaf of bread must if cost for what we all paid about £400 give or take a quid But I must say the bar staff were exceptional very polite and friendly.

My mum came to visit me in Swansea today and treated me to lunch at three lamps, and it was absolutely gorgeous! Steak was perfectly cooked and had the nicest chips I’ve ever tasted! Cocktails were lovely and everything was wonderfully presented. The service was quick and super friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a tasty, well priced meal in Swansea :)

Booked to go for an anniversary meal, Seating arrangement was inconsiderate , waitress was impolite and uninterested, as well as made an offensive comment regarding age which were unnecessary, didn’t stay long enough to order food , if it wasn’t for las iguanas down the street the night would of been ruined Wouldn’t recommend for big/special events

I love the idea of the Three Lamps, sitting by the window in comfy seats watching people passing, whilst I drink a coffee. However, the reality never lives up to my reality. Yes, the decor is nice and the seats are comfy. However, it’s always cold! Today as we did get the prized window seat, it wasn’t so bad as there is a heater over that table. The rest of the venue was still cold though. We ordered coffees, I wanted sugar free syrup in my skinny, decaf latte, but the young lady serving didn’t seem to have heard of it. My husband said he had difficulty in getting the lady to understand what we wanted even. We didn’t eat on this occasion as it was mid morning and we just wanted a coffee. To sum up, customer service is poor and the bar is always cold.

Popped in for Sunday lunch, the pictures on Social media looked better than what was dished up. The beef was cheap tasting and rubbery and covered with bisto gravy , veg was the only thing drifting the meal in a top end 3/10. Zero atmosphere to go with the whole ‘experience’

A poor meal for a hefty price. We attended as a group of 8 for a birthday party meal. Options were quite limited and certainly not cheap. We enjoyed our starters of whitebait and calamari, but it all went downhill from there. Quite a few members of our party chose the beef burgers and they were all overcooked and even burnt, with dry over toasted buns. Others had the half chicken and found the meat to be dry. The triple cooked chips were hardly cooked even once. I opted for the flat iron steak which was rather under-done, with the "triple" cooked chips and a side of what turned out to be oily cabbage leaves with a hint of chilli which cost £3 extra. Pepper sauce was £3 for a tiny jug. So basically it cost me £22 for a budget cut of meat when I could have had a perfectly cooked sirloin for less money elsewhere. Not one of our group thought the meal was great, and there was not much excuse for the poor quality as there were only a handful of other diners in the restaurant at the time of our visit so the kitchen was not at all busy.I would not visit this restaurant again.

Wandered into the 3 lamps looking for a light lunch and a glass of wine. I was delighted I had. Delightful white wine and the halloumi salad which was brimming with flavour and all for less than twenty quid. Great value for a city centre. Will definately be returning when I'm next in Swansea.

My wife and I made a last minute decision to go for lunch on Saturday 31st Nov, as we were out and about. We thought we would try the three lamps. When we got there all the tables were marked as reserved, so we were just about to leave when we just checked with the waitress. She informed us that they were marked like that so they could organise better, so if you go in and the tables are marked reserved, best off confirming this with the staff. We ordered coffees, and food. When the coffees came, these were fairly Luke warm, which my wife was not happy with. When the staff came with the food I mentioned about the coffee being cold, the staff couldn’t apologise enough and said that they would change straight away, which they did. The second coffee was much hotter. The wife ordered a pulled pork toasted sandwich and I ordered burger and chips. Both were very good, the chips were double cooked chunky chips, which were lovely. This was the first time that we had visited the three lamps for food and were suitably impressed. We would definitely go again. That you to the staff on the day, they were very helpful and accommodating

Came here after a day in Swansea city center, it was the only place that looked nice in that area. The restaraunt looks great from the outside and inside too. It was a quiet lunch service there so we got served very quickly both for food and drinks. The waitress and waiter were both very nice and friendly throughout our visit. The food was fantastic. I had the halloumi salad and my girlfriend had the grilled aubergine dish with a portion of chips to share. We were both over the moon with our food, it was a delight to eat such fresh food and the portions sizes were really big. The handmade chips were also lovely enough to feed four people I think. Would recommend this place to anyone in the Swansea area.

The young girl on the very top floor was especially rude.. food was booked for 2 o'clock we didnt have our starter till 4. Then the main followed at 5 o'clock.. the meat was solid. Veg was freezing cold . and the gravy horrendous.... avoid this place like the plague...

Called in and thoroughly enjoyed a drink on the rooftop terrace, we headed downstairs to have a meal and had a 40 min wait for mediocre food other people served before us that came in after us and a weird system where the lunch menu tells you to choose a steak from the main menu (there are no main menu cards) when we asked to see the main menu we were told you can only see this if you reserve a table. Even the person serving us said this created all sorts of issues.

Had a 2 course meal, starters were over done (lamb fritters and pulled pork fritters), I had tuna for mains which was done to perfection. I think it would be a better place to eat if one floor was a dedicated restaurant.... as it can get quite noisy eating where people are just drinking. Overall ambience was ok... we weren't allowed on the terrace because apparently it was "Full" but, when I went up there to look there was plenty of space. Had heard that this was a bit of a novelty and somewhere different to go.... I dont think I'd eat there again because the food is way overpriced for what you get. But I would go back for drinks

At some point in the near future, this place must surely be given a culinary award for its Sunday lunches. The guys in the kitchen clearly know how to cook, and this is evident throughout the three courses. Portions are substantial and if you're the sort of person who likes taking photos of their dinner, Three Lamps is the venue for you. I am definitely not that person, preferring instead to savour the absolutely delicious food and enjoy the nicely-appointed interior.

This place has got some good points and you can have a good night out here on high quality Staropramen lager and there is some good artwork and poetry on the walls. However for anyone who remembers th previous live music venue on this site i.e. The Office then the new set up is very disappointing. The former grungy scene is gone and even worse the band's now play on the 2nd floor so all the bass is lost through the floor making it difficult for the band's to come across as well as they should.

Newly opened and brilliantly pitched. I attended in a large party for a works meal and have to say that the staff, Tim, Gary, Lucy and the wonderful chef went out of their way at every opportunity to accommodate, make us feel welcome and relaxed. Some examples would be, allowing us to order specials in advance, even though we were hitting the time limit. Double checking our order on arrival and allowing last minute changes and the chef giving a personal talk through when catering for someone with gluten intolerance and then cooking something off menu for her. The food itself was lovely and outstanding value for money and they sell a wide range of cocktails at 2 for £10. This combined with the beautiful surroundings, the most touching tribute mural to one of Swansea’s greatest and live music, means that after my first visit, I will become a firm regular. Well done guys in terms of hospitality provision you’ ve hit the jackpot.

10 of us went to The Three Lamps to watch the rugby with the intention of just watching the first half there then moving on elsewhere. That plan went out the window as the atmosphere was electric due to a brilliant rousing male voice choir that set the scene for a great match! Stirring stuff! Dined here today after being recommended by two of my friends from work. The lunchtime offer is a great deal and the portion sizes were as you would expect from a full price menu. I ordered the whitebait followed by steak and chips and chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert. My husband ordered chicken wings for starter, chicken and chips for main and vanilla cheesecake with brecon honey icecream for dessert. All courses were delicious and the medium steak was so tender I could have cut it with a butter knife. Definitely going back to try the options on the main menu. Total bill with 3 cokes came to £37. The waiting staff were really friendly and attentive and you go to the bar with your table number to order and pay before food arrives

Visited the restaurant yesterday. We both had the fishcake as a starter which was very tasty but a bit overpriced for a starter. We also both had the 12oz rump stake and both were done exactly as requested - 1 rare 1 medium rare. with sides of onion rings and a salad. The only negative was that the sauces which were £3 extra were a bit thin and lacking in strength, The meal was very good if not a bit more expensive than expected from a "gastro pub". The service was excellent and could not be faulted. Will certainly be visiting again.

I visited today twice with my husband, first time in the morning for a coffee and they had a lovely display of cakes on the counter including Gower doughnuts but we shared a pistachio and green tea cake which was delicious. We noticed a new menu when we sat down with more variety than when we last visited and also they had a two course option for £10 so we decided to come back lunch time. We chose a salad each with two sides of chips which were huge, my husband had chicken and avocado and I had a holloumi salad, we should of had one side of chips to share as the portions were very big but they were homemade and were very tasty. I think the prices were fair and worth the money as most of the ingredients are locally sourced. I didn’t notice any smell signs around Tea cosy Pete when I visited in December but I will soon be back to have a look as this has become one of my favourite places to come for food. Thank you staff and compliments to the chef, see you soon!

Three of us booked for Sunday lunch. Hubby and I chose the lamb, which was absolutely scrumptious. Grandson, who is vegetarian chose the nut roast (no other option). The selection of vegetables was okay - peas, carrots, cabbage and swede. An option of cauliflower cheese would have been nice - at an extra cost. It was however, disappointing not to have a Yorkshire pudding. It seems that they only come with the beef. My grandson in particular would have liked one - he didn’t have any roast potatoes either, which I think is ridiculous. It was a very tasty dinner with real gravy but for the price yorkies should have come as standard.
