One star is the best I can give for yesterday’s visit. For someone in the hospitality industry the person behind the bar wasn’t very hospitable. The food was bland but expensive. A shame because the pub has bags of potential

Lovely pub with lovely staff , We went 2 days in a row and had the vegetarian options , the bangers and mash with the veggies was really lovely , so was the veg lasagne and my partner said the veggie chilli was really good as well . We both enjoyed our dessert 🍨 , ,apple crumble which was delicious and not to sweet . Will definitely return if and when we return to the gower.

Me and my partner visited on a Friday evening.....as we entered a member of staff greeted us with a warm smile....we got a table and I ordered Game pie and Claire had Sausages and mash....both of our meals were presented very well and had incredible taste....the meals are priced accordingly as you get what you pay for 😊 I actually made a point of thanking the landlord and saying how much we enjoyed our meals...every member of staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.... We ate here on a busy Friday night, on an overnight stay from North Wales to Plymouth. It was our last evening of eating out and we were so impressed we just had to leave a review! Our meals came quickly, it was hot and we were thrilled with the portion sizes and the quality of food (we had Sausage and Mash, and the Game Pie). The staff were attentive, clearing our plates quickly all with friendly smiles. The bar staff were equally as pleasant and we left feeling very satisfied. Thank you to the whole team for our fantastic experience!

My family and I had a disgusting meal here recently. Food was barely edible and some not even edible and some returned to kitchen, some food didn't turn up. The service was very slow, over an hour to get the starters out ! When waiter cleared our plates he was eating a chip and splattered food over my son when he spoke! Totally unacceptable in all aspects

My greviance is about the parking here. My sister is terminally ill. I travelled to spend some time with her . One day out was to gower peninsula, and on our way home,a stop at gower inn. There is a parking machine installed at the inn. It was out of order. We asked the staff at the inn is it ok to park, which they replied yes . I parked and my sister also displayed her disability badge. We stayed about an hour and then left. Weeks later she received a hefty fine for parking. There is no way to contact the firm controlling parking. It’s pay or face court for further costs. It’s absolutely disgusting, I would seriously suggest avoiding this pub, though I have in the past enjoyed many a meal there before this outrageous parking system was introduced. Now my frail sister does not need the hassle to fight this and will pay the fine, but I can assure the pub, and the parking company , that unless they retract this stupid fine that I will go to local and national newspapers to expose what is going on here, a complete rip off for people wanting to rest a while at this pub . As for the owners of the inn, your business is seriously at risk, as I am not the only one raising this issue, suggest you attend to the parking obscenity.

We were really looking forward to a nice meal, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the food itself was okay, we had to wait over an hour to receive our order, which was really challenging with two kids, especially a 7-month-old baby who understandably lost patience. What puzzled us was that we only ordered a burger and bangers and mash, yet it still took so long. To make matters worse, others who ordered after us received their meals within 15 to 20 minutes. It was quite frustrating and really dampened the experience. Sadly, we left feeling quite disappointed.

All members of staff also did an amazing job, keeping up with drink orders and bringing out food orders for 27 people! To the chef- the food was perfect, as it always in- and we are very grateful! We booked a table for 12 people for a family dinner last night. We waited an hour for our starters, they forgot some of the order so got them at different times, which were awful. We had to send back a main of shepherd's pie which had no filling in it. When replaced, it was very salty. The veggie sausages were made of mashed potatoes and had no flavour, which were on a bed of mash ! which weren't eaten. The chateaubriand was not fillet steak, as should be, but a rolled and pressed sirloin cut. Everyone's food was just horrible. They get you to pay for your meal on ordering, so we felt we had no come back to refuse payment on meals that were not edible

We love the Gower Inn, it's a lovely stop after a long trek. We ain't been for over a year as the food last time was terrible, so new owners now so we gave it a try.My partner had the green Thai veg curry which she asked was it hot and she was told no she left alot of it so I tried it and it was very hot, tongue numb hot,I had the burger which was super done on the outside but pink in the middle and didn't have much taste the chips were ok but alot of them were small crunchy bits,I wouldn't be ok ordering more of the pricey items on the menu as a simple burger should be at least done right.I would so like this place to do well as it is in a perfect location.

Tourist trap? First of all we were asked to move from the window table to another dark table of two because it was ‘busy’ but another couple sat in our original seat straight after and didn’t get asked to move. Food took a long time to arrive and when it did it was very bland for a high price. The sauce on the mussels was literally uncooked cream with a tiny splash of cider. Portion of chips was very small. About 7 or 8 chips. Would not go here again.

We visited whilst on holiday in the Gower. As with many pubs in the area, the menu was quite basic pub food, but at the higher price end. Whilst the food we had was OK it certainly wasn't value for money. Service was fairly quick and we got table with no issue. Average dish is £15 and £7.50 for dessert. Children's options were £7.50, usual choice of something and chips.

Our favourite pub in Gower by a long way. Since Chris and Josie took over the pub has quickly become a welcoming and cosy spot for locals and visitors alike. The menus are a combination of pub classics, exquisite specials and cater for all requirements. The small plate options are ideal for a tasty treat whilst enjoying a pint in the lush beer garden. The restaurant and Cwtch are ideal for friends and families as well as couples who want a quality meal with amazing drinks in a relaxing friendly environment. All of the staff are friendly and accommodating and both Chris and Josie love to mingle with customers new and old always insuring the best and most welcoming experience possible. Free car parking is available via the pay station just inside the front door and there is ample parking available. At the rear of the car park is a stunning woodland walk which is ideal for everyone including four legged friends who are also very welcome in the garden, pub and restaurant with treats available on the bar and water bowls throughout. Wednesday night is steak night and dine in deals are available - highly recommended!! Date of visit: July 2024

My wife & I are picky eaters, accustomed to high standard Mediterranean/French food. The bouillabaisse (seafood soup with a large selection of king prawns, calamari, etc) & my muscles both far exceeded our expectations, together with everything else including the host. It’s an hours drive & we will be returning soon taking our dog as dog friendly. What a lovely surprise. Best food we’ve had in the UK at surprisingly low prices for the standard. The £22 bouillabaisse was more than worth it. All in all outstanding.

Tried to order a breakfast, which was on the menu, but was told they don't do them anymore as they are transitioning into a new menu.. Even though the menu out there said they had it. Then tried to order beans with our meal and was told they had no beans.... Asked 3 times how to register our car and was ignored until another staff member had to come over and tell us. Food was unimpressive, frozen chips, mayo bottle was empty. Wouldn't recommend going. Rude staff, frozen food, incorrect menu.

The wife and I had been for a walk down Three Cliffs and decided to go here for food. So we pulled in, paid for parking, and went in only to discover that it was bookings only. When I complained that I’d paid parking for nothing a young lad told me there was a sign in the window. I could tell it was far from the first time he’d had to say that to someone that day. When going outside to look for this sign I had apparently missed, the only notification was a sheet of A4 paper stuck to the inside of one of the five windows. As if anyone is going to notice (or even be able to read) that from their car when driving in! The wife and I then remembered that ex can’t the same thing happened to us the last time we went to go there, which was about a year ago. Just a total lack of common sense. Put a sign out near the entrance so motorists know not to bother! This lack of consideration for the public means we won’t be going again.

Three of us booked for Sunday lunch. Hubby and I chose the lamb, which was absolutely scrumptious. Grandson, who is vegetarian chose the nut roast (no other option). The selection of vegetables was okay - peas, carrots, cabbage and swede. An option of cauliflower cheese would have been nice - at an extra cost. It was however, disappointing not to have a Yorkshire pudding. It seems that they only come with the beef. My grandson in particular would have liked one - he didn’t have any roast potatoes either, which I think is ridiculous. It was a very tasty dinner with real gravy but for the price yorkies should have come as standard.

Very noisey no attempt at deadening sound levels

One of the few traditional pubs left in Mumbles and always a pleasure to visit. We've never had a bad meal there and the staff are always so pleasant. However, during the day time there is usually an older clientele who pop in to meet friends and have a chat over a meal and drinks, so is it recommended to play loud, inappropriate background music and sport on the telly while happy customers are trying to have a chat? Surely this can be tempered a little until the evening regulars arrive?
