Costa Coffee in Swansea

Advertised open to 11pm but closed every evening that we've been. Please advise what time you actually close the drive through.

My favourite coffee shop. They make coffee just as like it.

Pink lemonade: half of glass of tap water, ice and concentrate - all for £3.50 - pretty disgusting

Decent if overpriced coffee. Able to tailor it to your requirements. Recommended.

Was busy, took ages to get drink once ordered. Drive through seemed to take priority. At nearly £5 a coffee, with Greggs opposite don't think I would go back.

3.80 £ for a small cup of mocha? And the price on the board isn’t always visible right away because it changes on the electronic price board in a strange way. That’s too steep a price for this cup. I’ve traveled and lived in countries where coffee is a national tradition, so I know what I’m talking about.

Called in with my daughter just for drinks - both had Autumn Special - I had latte, my daughter had the iced coffee. Firstly my daughter waited 10 minutes to be served the drinks after paying - it was not busy, my latte was not hot, not even particularly warm, however it gets worse - my daughter's drink was given to someone else who took a sip from cup & then queried whether it was her drink - it was then simply passed to my daughter without offering a new drink. When being told of concern - staff simply shrugged shoulders.

You know what you are getting with Costa. Sometimes the in store coffee seems to be better than the drive through but always good. Nice place to chill for a bit whilst enjoying a variety of coffees.

In terms of service, staff are generally polite, service is usually very quick and haven't personally had any issues with my orders recently (can't comment on the food though). Just over a year ago, this always felt like a friendly and welcoming store. However, over the last year, there have been numerous changes for the worse. Like a previous reviewers have mentioned, WiFi hasn't been available at this store for many months now. Considering this Costa store is in a bit of a mobile-signal dead zone, the lack of WiFi for this length of time is really unhelpful (and it looks like there are no plans for it to be re-instated). Again, like a previous reviewers mentioned, there's not as much of a welcoming atmosphere these days. More than an hour before closing: part of the front section of the store completely closed off (blocked off by chairs and stools), and all the tables in the rear part were occupied by upturned chairs (implying the area was closed off). Yes, to be fair, the floor was well cleaned, which is always appreciated. But the continued presence of upturned chairs on tables long after the floor has dried is hardly a welcoming atmosphere, especially considering the long period still to go before the building would be closed. Although there are 2 toilets in store, only 1 is available for customer use (the disabled one). The other is inexplicably and perpetually locked: like the WiFi, this has been the situation for many months. Again, not really welcoming. The reduction in opening hours over the last year has been noticeable, too. All in all, there's a lot of niggly things that have been going on over the last year or so that, when added up, do not do any favours for this particular store, makes it feel as though the top-bod in charge couldn't give a hoot about customer comforts (or attracting continued custom), and honestly makes me feel like this store is slowly being run-down on purpose. Such a shame.

Not very welcoming, chairs upside down almost like the place was closed. No WiFi.

I love Costa Latte Frappe amazing and a bit affordable.

Probably because they were busy, they did not hesitate to serve the coffee cold.

Visited in the evening 3 times this week before the advertised closure time of 10pm. On all occasions, the place was closed and unlit despite a notice saying the drive thru was open. It wasn't. Tried again this morning at 6.45am, and there was no sit-down service. There wasnt anyreason given for the closure or availability of services. Would have given zero points if allowed. From previous visits, I recommend they repair the furniture. 5/11 Place is open after closing for a few days after a makeover. Seems more spacious with a few of the big tables and a seating bank gone. Refurbished seats and other changes, but it has somehow lost a bit of its identity. Can't put my finger on it, but I'll visit a few more times to decide whether I like it or not. Service today was good, and the coffee was as comforting as ever. Upped my earlier one star to three to reflect the changes. 15/10/22. Minutes after 8pm, I called at this Costa Coffee. I'd already Googled the opening times, and I should have been ok until 9 pm. Photo added. Drive through closed and shop door locked. Starbucks won my custom again. 17/1/24. Popped in today to find the opening hours yet again reduced and the coffee still expensive. There seems to be a high turnover of staff, too. I'm getting to the point where I seldom go there now unless I'm shopping local. I am gasping. 20/2/24 Arrived at 8.30pm, they close at 9pm and I just needed a coffee and a sit down, even for 30 mins. Asked for a Skinny (Wet) Latte and said I was sitting in. I was served with a takeaway cup with lots of foam (?). No Internet has been available there over the last few days (see photo). Turnover of staff is very frequent in this outlet and tonight they didn't seem very happy. Maybe it's the outlet, maybe not, but previous staff have seemed happier. 9pm now, so I'm off home, but I was wished good night by a staff member 👌. Night night 👍🏻

Marked diwn only because there dishwasher was out of order. So Cardboard cups sitting in. Not there fault though these things happen.

Called here on 21st January 2024. Jason prepared our drinks was very friendly (actually they all were). I didn't have to clean the table myself (have done this numerous times at other Costa's). As soon as the staff saw that tables needed cleaning, they were there in a matter of minutes.

Slow in cleaning tables, coffee okay, cakes not bad but expensive for what they are. Isn't the biggest of Costa's and can feel a bit crowded.

The most important thing in coffee is taste, aroma and good company. In my case, everything came together. Delicious Mocha, chocolate aroma and the presence of my wife. A few moments and sips of coffee. What more do I need on a cloudy day? The friendly service deserves applause.

Drive through worrying slow took 8 minutes to be served just to order a mocha and another 6 minutes to receive my coffee, I understand its busy but would been quicker to go inside to order.

My boyfriend and I ordered a frappé each and the woman serving us sarcastically said, "Do you know how much we like making those?" She then decided she wasn't going to make them and proceeded to ask over and over again on her headset for someone else to come and make them. Eventually, a younger member of staff came and made them. We didn't ask for anything special or for them to go out of their way to do anything different for us. We literally just asked for something off the menu and we're made to feel bad for doing it. The only reason I haven't given 1 star is because another member of staff made them without a fuss and they were yummy.

Don't you just one of their huge Latte's.

Expensive for what it is, okay if you need to waste half hour like I did. I always say, if you can make it better in the house then it's not worth the money. Nice staff though.

I have been a regular customer in llansamlet costa coffe but after today I will never use again orderd at the drive through as usual order taken promptly but then it just goes down hill v fast . Waited and waited then window opened and was asked if I had placed an order kept waiting some more than abruptly handed my coffe was not asked if I would like chocolate sprinkle and had to ask for sugar . 🙃

Really disappointing Staff member was miserable ordered porridge was stone cold Went back asked could it be warned as it was cold toke it off me and warmed past back and said there we go No apology rude her name was Laura

Tried the popcorn frap, wow super sweet. Have visited a number of times and will be back again soon.

I have spent most of the day wondering what i have done wrong. The barista told me no large drinks so no large latte for me. I turned around to go to starbucks when i heard “oi fatty” u better not be going there. She heard my thoughts. I then got roundhoused by the same barista, no idea how she got to me so fast. On my way out i was greeted by a young man. He asked if i had a mini fillet burger to which i said “no” he then proceeded to grip me and scream at me, wheres my mini fillet burger, then began to cry and ran away. What is happening

Asked for a coffee at 180degrees and was refused, not once but twice, won’t be going back there. All the other costas in the area are so nice and are willing to meet my needs.

Not the best Costa, had toast, hardly toasted, tea was just warm, tables hadn't been cleared. Service wasn't the best, no customer service skills.

Lady (Alison) on customer services very rude , I just asking about chicken sandwiches was expire and she shouted me we just received from m&s yesterday, Anyway from anywhere it was expire chicken , Shame

Very busy store sloppy service. Not a nice view or set an example one member of staff full of love bites on neck nit what you want serving you. Dirty tables and sides where preparing drinks and rubbish on floor. Not what you expect from a Costa branch. Very poor indeed

After calling to the drive thru today I have to say the waiting time....(only one car in front of me) was really awful. From giving my order at the order machine, to actually being served, it was not acceptable. Took me ages to draw the attention of the girl serving to scan my Costa app to finally getting my drink...which has gone up considerably. No offer of any sugars & to top it all they had no stirrers!! Will not be visiting again....

Ordered White hot chocolate large drink with flake and mashmallows Terrys chocolate, hot chocolate with mashmallows 2 x pigs n blanket toasted Non of the drinks came with the extra. The white chocolate drink tasted of warm milk. Pigs n blanket was nice When I called to let them know the staff member was really rude and interrupted me when I was trying to let them know of how disappointed we were. Very rude Was also told they didn’t have any flakes or mashmallow, unsure why it’s an option to select on just eat app?!? . Won’t be ordering from Costa again. Would rather pay extra for star bucks.

Costa is Costa.... Or is it?? This is my favorite place to grab a coffee.... Although pricey, the reward card is great... I have had quite a few free drinks. My drink Is always hot and consistent, I know what I'm getting no matter which store I visit. I love the cakes too.

Will not be returning to this costa coffee again!!! Coffee was not the best and had to argue with the young manager to make a very hot coffee, which was not the first time.His bad attitude let's this costa down. Costa's loss, cafe nero's gain( where the staff are always happy and accommodating.)

Usually love this place but my last visit was shocking. Walking up to the front there was rubbish all arounds worst I ever seen. Went inside to order and that was an experience in itself. While in the queue I noticed that the cake cabinet was full of flys 🪰 as there was no door protecting the cakes. People in front of me wanted cakes but I had to let them know about the flys 🪰 when mentioned to the staff they were aware of rhe fly problem as pest control had been out and were coming bacl a week later to see if it had altered. I mentioned taking the cakes off sall and let cistomers know that they can still have cakes you just need to go out the back and get them. And the reply was yes we know the environmental health have been out, well do something about it and not serve fly covered cakes!!! Sorry for the rant but people need to know how down hill this shop has gone, so much so I even left without my coffee and went somewhere else.

Had breakfast, twice on a week day. Service was pretty fast and the food was reasonably priced.

Had a wonderful bacon & sausage breakfast for two. Two baguettes for later and a four pack of their amazing jam doughnuts 😍

Very clean and spacious place. Plenty of food choices M&S sandwiches and many tempting looking cakes. Great coffee too.

What is the point having the menu board at the window you order ? At the drive through , So your forced to rush a wrong order or actually not even get what you want . It flicks through screens before you can even review it all . I ended up going with out !

Lovely coffee as always, friendly staff whose sure our drinks were how we wanted them and gave a free cake for a birthday which was great. Can't complain.

I've been countless times over the years and today was my last visit. Its never given me a good vibe, my orders are always but always wrong. They don't understand the word 'hot'. Not ever. Usually don't get my points added, servers are never happy instore. Go somewhere else, anywhere, but not to this one

Callum,Emily, Sophie, jess, hannha, james,Martha and anyone i have forgotten you are amazing friendly helpful over worked under paid staff without you getting up early every morning for the public to have a cappuccino (1 shot) then i dont know what i would do keep up the fantastic work guy's keep us in coffee ❤

Just popped to Costa in Morriston drive thru and was met by a blonde woman on the microphone who also made our cold lattes. May she get re trained for sounding depressed and demotivated. She sounds like she don’t want to do the job and I really think someone should check on her mental health. Our coffees were cold but I care more about someone else’s mental health as it looks like it’s affecting customers cold drinks. Please look into this thanks!!!

Busy little place. The toilet area has had a make over, the hand drier still just sprays the water over the walls.

Fairly typical anonymous coffee outlet. Staff friendly but over-worked. Not enough parking spaces combined and too much focus on drive thru business results in substandard experience for eat-in customers.

Very slow the staff always seem to be chatting when there's a que called in twice in the week also there was no hand sanitizer avaliable either at the door

Is the second time in few days I went to Costa on the enterprise park in Swansea, and the staff doesn't meet the standards.. No good morning, no thank you for waiting, when I asked to warm up the cup, looks like doing a favor for me!!!
