My local but I rarely go there, no atmosphere, no music, no food! Wine not very good either

We had a lovely curry here. The staff were really attentive. The meal was quite big so we couldn't finish it all. We'll definitely come back.

Visited today after an unplanned visit to caernarfon. Staff were welcoming, food was great and even gave us a bowl of water for the dog. Fish as good as any I've had anywhere before, curry sauce really good and chips spot on. Very reasonable prices also.

Just returned from a short stay at Hay on Wye and visited this cafe every day! Really friendly staff, fantastic coffee and we also treated ourselves to a slice of carrot cake on our last day which was divine! We looked at the menu and there were lots of lovely things that we could have had if we were staying for breakfast or lunch. A good excuse to go back!

This is pub is a unknown gem just outside Hirwaun on the back road of rhigos a mile or so from zip line well worth the vist food outstanding hot served promptly to all guests in party of 40 very well presented on time hot and delicious outstanding value service from start to finish locals very friendly will definitely be returning to this local pub to support Chris and staff highly recommended you will not be disappointed booking recommended also serving Sunday lunch looking forward to going ASAP

There's something about national trust cafes. Overpriced service is always poor and the food is always substandard Paid £3.30 for a bottle of water. There was no filling station for us to refill ours.

Warning, but NOT the fault of the cafe: maximum 2hr parking otherwise very large rip-off fine from private parking company for plonkers like us who, arriving separately to shop & then meet for a nice relaxed chat, did not observe the signs. Coffees & teas were nice but of all the many available tables about 10am, none were clean. We asked & the table was wiped for us, but not cleaned properly, in my opinion. We’ll find a friendlier, cleaner venue to meet up next time. Very disappointing.

Absolutely lovely cafe full of friendly locals and such a welcoming lady running it. Had a top notch Sunday lunch. She’d spent the morning sending off enormous numbers of the same meal as local deliveries and when a place is so supported by the actual folk living in a town, it says everything. Good value and good grub!

i didnt order rottiserie chicken, but that was what i got and asked for cheese and toasted. i didnt get that either.

Very unwelcoming. Regular customers made to feel uncomfortable by new door staff and the bar staff don't care.
