Después de haber visitado el hotel Invercarse en años anteriores, mi pareja y yo pensamos en darle otra oportunidad para el almuerzo. Llegamos a las 13: 50 y nos informaron abruptamente que la cocina cerraría en 10 minutos y que tendríamos que darnos prisa y ordenar. Pedimos dos platos principales, un Mac con queso y un plato de mariscos. La red eléctrica llegó muy rápido, lo que me indicó que estaban corriendo a través. Una camarera puso el tazón caliente de Mac y Queso en la mesa frente a mí, no había saludos ni ningún servicio al cliente de ella en absoluto. Procedió a charlar con sus colegas sobre “Paul” dándole el día libre y qué película vería en el cine. Los baños estaban sucios y todo el lugar acaba de emitir un ambiente de mala muerte barato. El ambiente era bastante deprimente con un horrible olor persistente a humedad. Tuve que enviar la Mac y el queso de vuelta, ya que claramente había sido recalentado y amarrado con queso barato y a la parrilla. El queso era todo grumoso y pegado - probablemente el peor Mac y queso que he probado. Bastante triste ya que hay hermosas vistas del Tay desde el restaurante. Tristemente no volveremos ya que hay lugares mucho más meritorios y acogedores para gastar nuestro dinero!

It was mid-afternoon in a snowy Glasgow and after seeing the movie Maestro (lifestory of composer Leonard Bernstein) at the nearby GFT we were in need of a late lunch; somewhere can-do, cosy and welcoming. At The Salon we were offered all that and more. Welcomed from the minute the door was opened for us, we found the staff attentive and caring - nothing was too much trouble. In tribute to Maestro Bernstein's New York, I had a Reuben sandwich. Food and wine came quickly and was delicious. By coincidence, our friendly and efficient server was called Felicia - the same name as Mrs Bernstein. The movie references aside, here is a venue where you can feel relaxed and looked after. Reminded me of the atmosphere in the late lamented Rogano. Good mix of people including a newly married couple, hotel and spa guests, and walk-ins like ourselves. Would it be too cliched to say that 'There's A Place for Us'!

Really nice pub, great atmosphere, good honest tasty food at reasonable prices. Staff really friendly and polite. Very dog friendly. Pool and darts available. Park up for the night in a motorhome, no one minds.

Encontrar el lugar fue complicado. Si publican en su sitio web (está inmediatamente a la izquierda al salir de la calle Giles e inmediatamente a la derecha al ingresar a la calle Giles), habría ahorrado un poco de cuero para zapatos y un buen remojo. No tenía idea sobre el valor, ya que me unía a un amigo que había recibido un cupón de regalo, pero todo estaba cubierto por el cupón. Una buena experiencia que consideraría repetir.

Popped by for a take away lunch - grilled cheese, sausage roll and raspberry tarte - by far the best bakery food we’ve had in a long time, really cute place, friendly staff and the food is super tasty and very well priced 😊😊

The coffee is lovely but the screen tapping order system is a pain in the neck. I don’t accept that this is to improve service, it’s to reduce jobs. 3 times I had to tap in my coffee to get it right. The guy in charge when I was there is very passionate about what he serves, checking you have the right order but I’m inclined to think just take the order from me in the first place.

Myself & my friend visited blackhall today,as we walked in we were both greeted with a lovely goodmorning from both your staff,the coffee & cake was delicious 😋 after coffee I needed a card & the lady was very helpful at helping me to find a card I needed,when I got served the girl serving me was very chatty,both staff are very nice & have always got smiles on their faces,it's so nice to see this when walking into a coffe shop,we will be sure to return.

So glad we didn’t read some of these reviews before we went or might not have bothered. After a google search of places to eat “near me” the Speckled Hen came up. We loved it. Nice area, lovely views. Big open airy restaurant. Nothing fancy but clean and homely feel. Lovely selection of homemade sandwiches, cakes etc. My other half had bacon and egg roll which was delivered in a large roll with plenty filling while I had soup n sandwich. Salad and coleslaw with sandwich which was fresh and tasty. Delicious! The waitress also did the cooking so realised it may take longer to arrive than other places but was well worth the wait. Very relaxed and enjoyable. Service was lovely and other half saying he will be back with work colleagues!

He notado esto antes sobre Caffè Nero. El servicio comienza a deteriorarse unas media hora antes de que cierren. Hoy, veinte minutos antes de la hora de cierre, se negaron a servir cualquier comida salada del gabinete “porque vamos a cerrar pronto”. (Todos los alimentos están pre-preparados y requieren como mucho calentamiento). En una ocasión anterior no querían servir café en una taza de porcelana por la misma razón, solo usando tazas de papel. Parece razonable esperar que estén abiertos ofreciendo una gama completa de servicios hasta que cierren, en lugar de entrar en una especie de estado crepuscular donde solo están medio abiertos, presumiblemente porque el personal no puede esperar a escapar del lugar al final de su turno. Ciertamente causa mala impresión.

This is quite possibly the nicest Starbucks on the globe - and we’ve been to a fair few. The staff are just lovely, they treat us like old friends. The layout is quirky but cool. The location, Stockbridge, is the best in Edinburgh. It’s getting renovated right now and we miss it so much. See you soon!😘

Went for a meal looked lovely small eating place. Will never be back. Waited 30 minutes for fish chips. Told cooked fresh so thought the wait would be ok. When put down I thought it was a starter 1/2 fish 2 small pieces of lettuce and a cherry tomato cut in half. A wire basket of chips. Fish overcooked couldn't even taste fish. Avoid this place. Even school meals were better. Never be back all I can say is go to fish and chip shop pay less and enjoy Rotten school out if 10 would be 0

very dark & dull place to go for a drink, however the staff & most of the clientele are welcoming and friendly
