M & S Cafe in Glasgow City

Nice friendly staff but no GF option How hard is it to out a Morrisons GF loaf ointment the freezer Or make one / GF pastries

Usual ailment that seems to affect all M&S Cafe's these days - plenty of staff but queues and uncleared tables abound. I counted 5 staff behind the counter who when not making tea/coffee or taking cash, seemed to move in and out of the kitchen but doing precious little else. With so many tables lying cluttered, I was flabbergasted to see the odd member of staff who was delivering food to tables, returning empty handed and totally ignoring dirty dishes that could have been lifted and returned on the way back. Food was nothing startling and drinks were ok. Certainly nothing out of the ordinary. Just glad the place was relatively quiet otherwise new diners would have had difficulty finding a usable table. We had 1 roll & Sausage and 1 croissant with jam - nice but nothing startling.

After leaving Costa in silverburn today reason we waited about 15 minutes in a queue with no movement we went to m & s cafe in the same shopping centre and received excellent service even though there was a bigger queue than the one we left at Costa's we were seated within 5 minutes with our tea and scones excellent service from a very friendly staff

Fui a la cafetería para tomar un café para llevar, rastrear y rastrear en la entrada, luego el caos ya que se permitía entrar a demasiadas personas, no hubo distanciamiento social mientras esperaban ser atendidas. Le dije a la señora que me preparó el café mis preocupaciones sobre esto y ella dijo que no era su responsabilidad, era una responsabilidad personal. Sin embargo, fueron ellos los que permitieron el acceso a un espacio limitado, ¿cómo pude controlar eso? No volverá y el personal de servicio, el mariscal que permite la entrada de personas debe estar debidamente capacitado y no poner en riesgo a los clientes.

Visitamos durante Covid y nos recibió un miembro del personal que hizo la necesidad de Track & Trace antes de enviarnos a ordenar y encontrar un asiento. Me dirigí al punto de pedido y mi esposa consiguió una mesa que no pensé que hubiera sido limpiada porque todavía quedaban algunas migas. Las bebidas eran bastante estándar para M&S y nuestra comida excelente. Los panecillos y las salchichas tenían 4 salchichas completas y la de tocino estaba cargada con 3 lonchas. Mientras un miembro del personal limpiaba y desinfectaba las mesas con un paño (presumiblemente) que contenía líquido desinfectante, no se usó ningún aerosol y el paño se compartió en varias mesas. Gracias a que no tenemos control para conocer y saludar, las personas que ingresan al restaurante van a las mesas que habían sido desocupadas recientemente pero no higienizadas. ¡Pobre espectáculo de M&S! ! !

Since lockdown prices have gone up £3.95 for a bacon roll and coffee cups much smaller. Not good value for money.

Had a pit stop whilst shopping, friendly staff good choice of snacks. Quick service clean and plenty of table room

We read your reviews about breakfast and thought ‘sounds good let’s go there for breakfast’ we shouldn’t have wasted our money, it wasn’t ‘ M&S breakfast it’s disappointing M&S breakfast’ no more M&S breakfast for us.

Well as the title suggests. It’s ok but when we arrived 3 staff members were chatting to a “customer” they seems quite uninterested in serving other customers so we stood for a little while then decided to head to Tim Hortons instead

I met my friend at the tearoom outside the shop within Silverburn shopping centre. The queue was long and the service slow. One woman, with children, was at the front of the line when it was my turn to get the drinks. Second in the line was a man who had arrived as we were having our first cuppa and was still waiting. Eventually, the hot drinks ordered by the woman arrived but in the wrong cups. She pointed this out to the server who said she would make more. The man offered to take them as that is what he had ordered. The woman said she would take the drinks because she had waited so long for them. The server said no and proceeded to pour them down the sink. The customers asked to speak to the manager and no-one seem to know who that was. Finally we learned that the only manager is in the upstairs tearoom and had been contacted. When she finally arrived, the manager was dressed in a costume (with collecting bucket) for McMillan Nurses. I'm all for charity work but the collection could have carried out by anyone, so why does the manager of a inefficient tearoom have to do it? When I tried to speak to the manager, she just looked at me and walked away. Granted she had spoken to the other two customers but how unprofessional to ignore a third - and more!! The area has been refurbished - with more tables and less space between them. The Greggs customers looked much happier than overpriced M&S

My wife and I had Sunday breakfast. Service was fine. Coffee was good but my main grip was that a had there full breakfast was not hot it was not even warm. Would not return

Quick lunch in Silverburn, not a very large menu to choose from, but what I had was good, could do with a larger selection of cold drinks. Nice and clean with friendly staff.

Called in for some respite whilst shopping. We had hot drinks and sandwiches. All what you’d expect from M & S, the drinks were hot and tasty and the sandwiches did what sandwiches do. It was a busy Sunday lunchtime and the place was heaving so not a quiet break, but the staff were doing their very best to cope.

Cafe selling what all the other M&S Cafes sell. You will be hard pushed to find a clear and clean table. Dirty dishes galore. Not enough staff, then they bring in extra staff to clear up, noisy, dishes clanging, trolleys going by, not a relaxed atmosphere. Then it goes back to dirty dishes, extra staff etc. Bit unorganised.

Just back from a shopping trip to Silverburn where we decided to have a coffee at M&S on the ground floor before heading into the food hall for our last stop. There was a wee bit of a queue but my goodness I've never waited so long in line to get served! The two staff members didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing, I had to ask for my change back and was then asked if I wanted a black or white coffee - I had ordered a latte and a black coffee. When I eventually got back to our table my other half said he was just about to send out a search party for me! Not good enough M&S😕

Very friendly staff all hot drinks made to order food freshly made to order very reasonable price range

Esta fue una velada especial de degustación de vinos organizada por el M & S Cafe y contó con 6 vinos para degustar junto con aperitivos y bocadillos. El sommelier introdujo cada vino comenzando con blanco, luego en rojo y luego rosa y finalmente un rojo brillante. Cada vino fue entregado a usted en un gran vaso transparente para que pueda ver, oler y luego probar cada uno y había papel para agregar sus comentarios sobre cada vino. This is a nice place to enjoy a cappuccino and a good selection of cakes and relax after a busy shop in the Centre.

Visit Silverburn shopping centre on a regular basis as it is local to my home. there is a variety of shops and coffee shops and eateries, the have a few big name stores including M & S, Next and Debenhams also plenty of trendy shops for clothing and Jewellery they also have a multi cinema complex now so all amenities under the one roof with loads of free parking and a bus station which covers most areas throughout Glasgow

Un salto para café y bollos hoy 22 de diciembre, justo después de las 4 pm. Por desgracia les gustaría salir de crema y terminamos teniendo en piedra fría y una olla de bollos de mermelada. Para ahorrar el día era un chico joven alto que trabajaban allí. Me preguntó si podía calentar los bollos. Él hizo uno mejor. Él nos bollos frescos, climatizada y nos mantequilla. El café necesita 5 más como él. Lamento no tener su nombre, pero quería precio su excelente servicio.

No tengo intención de comer, pero decidí sentarme y tomar un café. Terminamos de comer y disfrutamos de un agradable café y bien presentado con comida fresca y tentadora. El personal era amable. Mi sopa era caliente y delicioso, así como el bocadillo tostado. Asientos se convierte en estrecho de 12 con muchas personas esperando para sentarse después de pedir la comida.

Run out of stuff despite a shop full of food. Staff disorganized. Tables full of dishes. Range of food is limited.

Thirsty we went for a cup of tea and bought cake too. Tea very good, staff helpful, cake ok, despite being very busy we found a table.

No vayas si quieres un café rápido, ya que no va a suceder. Una persona haciendo una taza a la vez en una máquina de café no hacen complicado por una entrega rápida de su bebida. El personal es agradable, pero eso no la hace más rápido cuando estás en la cola lenta 'No fue una gran experiencia

Very handy. Coffee is good. A good selection of food, sandwiches, cakes etc the one disadvantage is don't go in in in a hurry as it always seem to be very slow.

Nice location on first floor. Menus the same as other M&S cafes. On this occasion, we received very welcoming staff with nice greetings. Will be back.

It's a sign of the times - rightly or wrongly we expect instant service with no waiting. The quality and range of food at M&S is great - as expected. There is a bit of a queue at lunchtime but deftly handled by friendly staff. Be patient, it's worth it.

A friend and I had a quick lunch here while shopping in Silverburn. A very pleasant experience, despite it being a Saturday and very busy. The sandwiches were very fresh and tasty - I had a selection - egg & cress, chicken & stuffing, ham & mustard, and cheese & pickle. Staff were "on the ball" clearing tables too. Having experienced other cafes in the centre, I would say this is the place to go.

Have been a few times recently to the coffee shop outwith the store. The order has been very basic, a few hot drinks and a few scones, but the staff although nice take forever to complete the order, If you were popping in for a quick coffee en route somewhere else and you had time constraints, this isn't going to work for you, Disappointed

I have visited many M&S cafes and all are good value for money. Good variety, lots of sandwiches and a few hot meals, drinks both soft and coffee and tea and a good variety of coffees and teas available. Always a good stop when shopping in the morning or at lunch time.

This is a good café if you are shopping in Silverburn.They do a variety of food/snacks like toasted sandwiches, cakes etc. The quality of the food is really good as you would expect from M&S. They café has a some tables set just outside the shop within the shopping centre and the café is on the 1st Floor. The staff are all very nice and helpful.

We went here for a coffee and cake, coffee and cake was lovely, but the service was dreadful, the girl who cleared up the tables was keeping the other girls off their work by constantly chatting, only one lady doing till, one doing coffee not enough staff, queue was a mile long, i only wanted a coffee???

Ate at M & S all over Scotland, as it offered decent sandwiches and salads, and coffee or tea. Staff very pleasant. Always a good experience!

Often go to this cafe when there is a marks cafe available Massive choice if food snacks and drinks available but though quality is excellent it is pricey

Food is really good and quite reasonable too. Catch a window seat and relax. Although the service when you get it is good it is always very slow.

When you go to a M&S Cafe you do have expectations and this one doesnt disappoint despite being inside a M&S and in a busy shopping centre. We were there quite early 10.45am and decided to have a quick breakfast before shopping. The Cafe is placed discreetly on the first floor. No nasty smells reaching out of the Cafe to the shopping area. In fact, no nasty cooking smells inside the Cafe either. Its clean, bright and for a Cafe - quiet! Staff were getting their job done, efficiently and quietly. Not the usually clattering of cups and plates and dashing around staff you get in some other cafes which is not conducive to a pleasant experience so well done M&S Staff. The food was as expected certainly enough choice for breakfast and a good cup of coffee. All food could also be found in their Food Hall. Big thumbs up!
