Popped in for the first time recently mid morning, missed breakfast and was very hungry. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich for myself, and 2 black pudding filled rolls for family. While waiting for them to be made to order, I couldn’t help but notice a delicious looking homemade cheesecake, so had to get a couple of wedges of that too for sharing, it was absolutely lovely, a total treat. Black pudding rolls and my tuna sandwich were much enjoyed, the bread was really good quality, not the cheap stuff, and the fillings also good quality and fresh. I shall be back, next time I will be trying the grilled hallumi sandwich, and most likely there homemade cake. Good quality food at a very reasonable price

Superb place for home made soup and sandwiches, all profits go to Highland Hospice and the place is run with a mix of staff and volunteers, yet really well run. Everyone friendly and welcoming. Nice coffee and cakes too :) you have the option of sitting inside our out in the main hall.

Arrived for a sit in coffee at 4.05 Saturday. Staff said they were closing shortly and we could only have a takeaway. My husband has advanced Parkinsons disease and badly needed to sit down. The server said we could sit outside however. After five minutes sitting outside another member of staff came out and said we would have to move on as they were shutting soon. We pointed out that we had been told we could sit outside. Five minutes later she came back and said we had to move on as the floor had been washed and for health and safety reasons we couldn't remain. The floor was dry!! I've never felt so unwelcome anywhere. Your staff were clearly desperate to be closed!

Absolutely shocking customer service. 2 members of staff too busy chatting with a customer they obviously knew and took there time with that order so they could chat. Especially the staff member with the glasses and pony tail and kept walking past me while i stood for 10 minutes before they even acknowleged me !!

Usually get coffee to go from here but decided to sit in with my one month baby and used the changing facilities which were in a disabled toilet. They were absolutely horrendous! Filthy and the handle and lock on the door was broken. Not only a health and safety issue but obviously a privacy issue for people needing the accessible bathroom. The other two toilets weren't much better either. Decided to leave and use the main shopping centre facilities instead.

This Country Hotel lacks love and attention. Outside front and sides are very tall weeds, the flower boxes were full of wilted. Car park resembles a quary.. On entering the dining room was well presented albeit I felt it chilly . Only 3 diners and we had to wait to see if we would be accommodated. We were..we sat at our table and the really lovely young server took our order limited menu and 3 choices off that evening.. Food was just OK...not value for money @ £17.95 for haddock and chips. Overall not the greatest.. I'd love to see the outside tidied up and give the hotel some road side appeal

This place is a hit and a miss. Had quite a pleasant drink on day one though we both thought our pints were a bit flat. They obviously take care of their locals going by the fact that one old boy was served an iron bru ice drink - first time I've seen this in a pub!. We decided to go back the following evening to have a few bottles of beer but left after one drink after having to listen to loud sectarian chanting of "if you hate Glasgow Rangers clap your hands" - this was the only chant I feel able to print due to there being no age restrictions on the site!! We're not football fans so weren't insulted but it was a bad vibe and other people must have felt the same as the place quickly emptied.

It’s such a shame as when I visit family in Inverness, I always pop in to the Victorian market, so the cafe is in a fantastic spot. It’s an interesting wee place inside and all the signs are welcoming ....... except for the surly staff member or maybe it’s the owner? I didn’t get a welcome smile or acknowledgement. I wasn’t sure whether to order at the table and was just told in a matter of fact way that you order at the desk. There is an upstairs but this was blocked off for some reason. My snack was ok - took the edge off before my tea, I have given this place the benefit of the doubt before, but the service hasn’t improved. I went to the desk to pay and was asked what would I like to order!! I said I’ve eaten and I’m just wanting to pay. She just wasn’t interested. There’s plenty of other places in Inverness to spend your hard earned money. That’s the last time I spend mine in there I’m afraid.

Worst cappuccino I’ve ever had. Avoid. Other coffees in the group were fairly meh also. There’s another cafe next door, maybe try that one instead.

I am very surprised by the low overall rating. I ate here two nights in a row - main, dessert and cocktail - as it was included in my accommodation package. The cocktails were nice, and the food and dessert tasty, and it meets my expectations for the restaurant attached to a three star hotel.

This hotel is now a B&B hotel, part of the German change. When we asked our tour company to book three separate twin bedded rooms in January, 2024, they confirmed said room. When my family arrived earlier this month, I was informed by a not so friendly staff, they only had one twin bedded room available. It took me 45 minutes, after being told the rooms were on a ‘space available basis’, that my rooms were confirmed in January and telling me rooms were on a ‘space available basis’ was unacceptable. Somehow, maybe by magic, the reception staff gave my family the three rooms we confirmed. As I always try to do, I took photos of our room and the bathroom, the entry and reception, which is at the very dark bar. The morning breakfast was less than average so don’t plan on being overwhelmed. We weren’t impressed with the accommodations, the included breakfast and surely would not return to this hotel. Management has much work and training to do if this hotel is to survive.
