I have coming here most weeks for business since last August normally every Tuesday. I can honestly say I have had the best night in the bar tonight with tasha. Professional friendly but also makes you feel at home. I normally go out but I will really now think about staying in for my meal and a few pints. I work away a lot and she is a breath of fresh air

Great Staff but that’s the only positive. Booked in on business for 2 nights, requested low floor was given top floor, staff kindly changed room to first floor- keycards were a nightmare but the kind staff helped out perfectly- thanks for that. This Hotel was run mainly by youngsters 20-30 and they were excellent but overall it was a dire experience. You were stopped on the way to breakfast to check you had paid for it in advance, the breakfast itself was buffet style and the food was lukewarm. I was there for 2 nights and the room wasn’t serviced after the first night. The second night, it was warm so I needed the window open (no- a/c) I was awakened at 2am by a couple arguing and swearing in the courtyard the rooms look on to- this was to be topped off by the smell of cannabis wafting thru my window from the dimwit that was blissfully unaware how loud he was. I was then woken up again at 4-45am by another couple. I called reception to complain and the guy said ‘I was the first to complain.’ This room was booked thru my business and if I’d been on holiday I would have asked for a full refund (room was >£200 a night) Finally the remote control didn’t work on the TV but that won’t be a surprise to anyone.

The room was tiny and things falling apart. Not enough toilet paper and just not that great of room. It was noisy outside both nights. The staff at the bar where you check in are great though and so is the bar tender (Fraser) was really nice and everyone we dealt with at that area.

Appalling Hotel! We were discriminated against with my assistance dog. We were told we could not have dinner in the restaurant but only in the bar area! Like being told you can ride the bus but only if you sit in the back!!! The ridiculous thing was there was literally NOT a single other person in the restaurant! I should point out that my dog is 3kg and sits on my lap. Didn’t sleep a wink all night due to another guest you was running her “business” out of her room and had a never ending stream of drunk, noisy male “visitors”! Full evacuation fire alarm! Role call was a joke and then the supervisor (yes, same one that made a fuss over my dog) came out and yelled at everyone “you can go back in”! No apology! And more importantly no assurance that the Hotel was safe. This place is run by people who are undertrained, scruffily dressed, and have zero concept of guest service! We left 2 nights earlier than planned with no offer of even a partial refund! I won’t even get into the dark, dingy, outdated “theme” of the place! My advice would be AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!

We’ve stayed many times trouble free here however this stay was not that. Firstly while we were fast asleep in the night a man arrived in our room, how did he get in? Obviously he was given a keycard for our room. Then in the morning the shower wet room completely flooded out the bathroom leaving us unable to use it for over half an hour. Told the receptionist in the hope this never happens again who said she’d get the manager to contact us. It’s nearly 4 weeks now and an email later but still no response. So so disappointed

Great location , excellent staff and an extremely satisfying breakfast. Rooms were comfy and clean. We had an adjoining family room where the staff had a play station waiting for the kids..this really set the tone . We played pool downstairs in he modernised bar . Breakfast was affordable with lots of options . Pastries were freshly baked and the coffee was strong and tasty..just what's needed first thing . Staff really made our stay , they were so friendly. Would highly recommend this great location

Great location but Mediocre rooms and poor breakfast! Rooms are mediocre at best and in severe need of some maintenance, granted COVID has been a major issue for hospitality but at £90 a night it’s a joke, there is a Travelodge across the road, stay there! The breakfast area was in need of a good clean, the breakfast area was literally swimming in grease but it was freshly made, the breakfast set up is weird and times are 06:30 to 10am so get up early for your greasy fry up! Asked for the cold meats, bread rolls and cheeses to be topped up as it was empty and that seemed to be a step too far for the staff… My advice is, stay at the Travelodge and go round the corner to Weatherspoons for a lovely breakfast!

We booked this hotel through Secret Escapes and got a decent deal for B&B. The hotel has a very small area at the back for 3 cars, parking is £10 per night. They will direct you if you pull up at the front first as not easy to find. Staff are friendly and accommodating. As some slight restrictions still in place they won't enter your room unless asked too, we were only there 3 nights so happy to make our own bed. I asked for an additional pillow and they left 2 and clean towels at the door. They gave tea sugar etc at the bar when required. The room was clean probably same standard as a Premier inn with a nice bar area and pool table. The breakfast was good with plenty cold/cooked options. We ate out at night a few great restaurants around and good selection of high street shops. Close to the river with some nice walks.

We stayed here for two nights as part of our Scotland road trip. The room was clean but very small and compact. The breakfast was buffet style and self service which seemed in marked contrast to the requirement to give others space and wear a mask when walking around in the hotel.

Just spent a few nights in Penta Inverness. It is like an upmarket Premier Inn, with a check in desk that doubles as a cocktail bar and rather resembles being in a night club. A very good breakfast was served amongst glitter balls and flashing lights. The room was a very good size, and the wifi worked well. Very quiet but a few cracks in the bathroom. The sink did not have a stopper which makes shaving/washing your face hard. Also, as it was summer the radiator was turned off so we could not dry our wet clothes. Clearly money shaving efforts on the part of Penta, so it missed the top spot.

Good location in the city, room adequate, corridors very dark and dull, cooked breakfast at a £10 supplement very poor but if it’s Luke warm and raw fried egg and the toast only been waved above the toaster then it’s the place for breakfast.. No Glayva at the bar as we were informed it’s a German hotel chain! It’s Inverness!!

A five day break with my wife was marred only by the rather expensive in house food and drink. At £5.30 for a pint of lager and £4.50 for a very small bottle of lager it could be a very expensive night out. The food prices,i'm afraid, didn't help either. However for those with a budget on a par with mine ,luckily there is a wetherspoons pub 100 yds away. The location of the Penta hotel is excellent and the industrial decor seems right on trend. We found the staff mostly to be polite and helpful especially in these covid times and their P.P.E. procedures were correct and as good as anyone else i've seen. All in all a good stay and i would certainly visit again.

It’s such a shame as when I visit family in Inverness, I always pop in to the Victorian market, so the cafe is in a fantastic spot. It’s an interesting wee place inside and all the signs are welcoming
