Dee Dee’s Family Café in Highland

After queing and paying, we waited 45 minutes for 2 paninis which were eventually brought over and medicre. Took about about 10 minutes to get the drinks, one of which arrived without the requested soy milk. Queued again to get milk - no apology given or recognition this wasn't ok. No music which was great and quiet although there were lots of others also waiting an inordinate amount of time. Won't be returning and wouldn't recommend.

Tardaron unos 10 minutos en conseguir las bebidas, una de las cuales llegó sin la leche de soja solicitada. Cola de nuevo para obtener leche - no se dieron disculpas o reconocimiento esto no estaba bien. No hay música que era genial y tranquilo, aunque había un montón de otros también esperando una cantidad de tiempo desmedida. No volveré y no recomendaría.

Decepcionante. El personal era extremadamente lento tiempo de espera para ordenar era de 15 minutos. No hay comunicación del personal. El personal parecía que no quería estar allí. Una pareja se retiró después de pedir un reembolso.

Dee Dee's Family Café se encuentra dentro de la Range Store, que a su vez se encuentra en el gran parque minorista en los accesos Este de Inverness. Me sorprendió algunas de las críticas anteriores con respecto al café. Tiene una apariencia lo suficientemente atractiva, y los dos miembros del personal que nos atendieron a mí y a mi esposa fueron amables. Había una selección razonable de aperitivos y bebidas ligeras, y los precios estaban a la par con otros cafés locales.

Tan triste no hay comida envuelta o de otro modo en el gabinete de exhibición de vidrio, vuela en sus 100 s alrededor de la máquina de café y la pared trasera

Sólo fuimos a morder un poco. Tomé un par de tostadas y un par de tazones de papas fritas. El pan tostado de mi marido ni siquiera estaba tostado. El pan estaba duro, pero no tenía ningún color. La mía era tibia y simplemente crujiente. Si no hubiera sabido que habíamos pedido las primeras tostadas, habría dicho que ambos teníamos sándwiches crujientes. Las patatas fritas mojadas ni siquiera crujientes. Eran solo dos tazones de patata caliente en forma de patatas fritas. Este lugar es una broma e incluso nos cobraron más de 16 libras por esta mierda. Las dos jovencitas trabajando parecían no tener mucha idea para ser honestos y tuvimos que recordarles lo que pedimos un par de veces. Una vez más, los baños de esta tienda son una desgracia. Absolutamente asqueroso todavía a pesar de que me quejé al servicio de atención al cliente la última vez que estuve aquí.

If you could give zero then that would be it’s score. Do not waste your time or money there. I went in with my granddaughter at about 12.45pm and ordered a sprite, banana milkshake and two portions of fries. I was told that the girl behind the counter would take the fries over. We waited for about 30 minutes watching four more lots of customers being served and gets their hot food. So I returned to the till to ask about our fries apparently the girl was just going to put them on… I noticed that two other members of staff were sat enjoying their lunch break together. Nice that they think that having only one person covering a lunch break was a good idea. Finally two bowls of spicy curly fries arrived ( not plain fries as ordered) they were mushy to say the least so we finished our drinks and left. You may wonder why didn’t I complain to the young server? Wellto be frank I think if I did then she may have dissolved into tears. Being the only working staff member at a lunch time is not nice and she should not have been put in that position. Shame on the manager!

Not at all about the food as we didn’t eat there. As for the customer toilets they were absolutely shocking!! As a customer of the range which is a very good store you’d imagine the level of cleanliness would be held as so. Stubbed out cigarettes in disabled toilet. Toilet roll all over the floor which was obviously why there was none in any of the stalls. Extra vigilance is needed by staff

Woman was on her own rushed off her feet, couldn’t have been nicer and apologetic, food was nice definitely will be back

Kicked out for sitting at a table out of the 15 other empty tables, didn’t get to order. Wont be going back!

It was an hour before they closed and we were treated as if we were an inconvenience. The only visible staff member was in one of the cafe booths doing some work on a laptop and looked frustrated as we went up to the counter. She looked at us annoyed whilst taking our small order and muttered “for f*cks sake” when she turned around to make the drinks at the coffee machine. There was three of us, we were all calm and patient with her. After she gave us our drinks at our table, more customers arrived after we sat down and she turned away to stomp back behind the counter. It felt as if she had been left to do everything on her own and didn’t expect any customers to come in around 3pm. When i went home later that day, i told my dad about the situation and he asked what the lady looked like. I described her to him and he nodded his head, telling me he had a near enough same experience with her. I felt bad for the lady as i think she was the only one working the cafe apart from maybe a dishwasher in the back. Coffees were nice, just need more staff.

Posting a review because of a 5 min visit. Stopped in to have breakfast while shopping the Range and were promptly ignored by the girl organising food behind the counter. When she decided to finally acknowledge we were standing there she said she'd be with us in a minute. After which she slowly, picked up a few things, which could've been left the 30 sec our order would've taken, and then slowly, like she was walking in tar, walked out from the front to the back room to disappear, while continuing to acknowledge our wait. Now I'm more patient than my wife when being ignored but this was all unsat in a customer service position and while the food looked nice in the display, we'll never know and we plan to never return following this experience. Good luck running your café in this manner...

We arrived when hardly anyone was in the cafe so no excuses for the following debacle. Greeted coldly by the lady behind the counter and made to feel rushed to order for some reason. When I asked what soup of the day was she pointed to 2 store bought offerings in plastic containers on a shelf. As we tried to make further decisions from the rest of the limited and uninspiring menu, she suddenly dissapeared and then the other the lady at the register says "Is that all?". Oh dear. Everything then arrived at the table in a very gruff and slammed down way. The £3.15 soup was barely edible and they even managed to make a pot of tea undrinkable. The store bought toastie was edible but only because all they had to do was heat it up. So, £14.50 for a lunch that was mostly unedible and terrible service. Needless to say, will not be returning and advise others to steer clear. Not great Dee Dee. Deserves 0/5.

Was in this afternoon and ordered our food and coffees to then have a few issues. My grandparents had ordered a mocha and a hot chocolate but when our drinks were delivered we were not told which one was which. Then when they had tasted both the drinks they weren’t very hot either. The food then arrive and can not complain about the toastie, panini or the baked potato all of which were perfect but the side of curly fries ordered was not good. They were barely cooked some of them were actually very under cooked. Some were black in places but then the rest of them were just soggy.

I'm visiting the DeeDee's café at the Range in Aberdeen every Saturday and this place needs more staff. Between the hours 1pm and 2.30pm it gets really busy and the 2 girls working there are trying SO hard to accommodate everyone but they cannot manage in time, something that it's not their fault. They have to take orders, prepare drinks and food, clean tables, serve and God knows what else. I was counting the waiting time for customers to order and be served because this happens constantly. The 3rd person working there which is the manager, always leaves during these hours for his break. Customers had to wait at least 20 minutes in the queue. An old lady was waiting 40 (yes, I had a watch and counted the time). 4 couples walked out. If anyone from the management wants to check if I'm exaggerating, just go there as a customer or watch footage from the CCTV. Those 2 girls are brilliant in what they are doing and they do not deserve to be left alone during the busiest time of the day.

Wow, staff are extremely rude and want to remember if they don’t like the general public she’s in the wrong job. Acted very irritated when serving and manners seemed something of the past. Wouldn’t return to the cafe.

Went in to browse The Range which had taken over the Homebase unit in Stoneyfield, Inverness. Enjoyed The Range and bought some items but sadly the cafe was a bit of a let down. Overpriced at £9 for two coffees and two fruit scones, one with jam & cream. Place was quiet and yet there were a couple of tables not cleared away as we sat down but were done prior to us finishing however. Toilets were clean and tidy.

Having visited twice this week while staying in the area with my young family I can only say I'm surprised by the earlier reviews. On each occasion we have found the food to be fresh, tasty and well presented (it is a cafe, not a restaurant) and service was quick and friendly on both occasions. The Chilli Jacket potato came piping hot and the side salad very fresh. The brie and bacon toastie was also a hit with my son. Overall very pleasant lunch on each occasion and will revisit if we are in the area again.

Asked for tea and the cup was put upside down onto the counter without a saucer or tray, to make matters worse the counter was covered in crumbs which stuck to the cup, when I asked for a clean cup the girl who served me picked it up wiped her hand across the top and put it back down ... YUCK. Told her that was disgusting and I wanted a fresh cup or a refund she rolled her eyes and slammed a new cup down.. don’t really think I’m being unreasonable especially when the tea was quite possibly the most expensive cup I’d ever bought a clean cup isn’t much to ask.

Poor choice, poor slow service, sandwich felt stale, expensive. Not ever going back. Such a missed opportunity for the business

Our 3rd visit to Dee Dees. Ok up until now. Had half a pot of tea, therefore, half a cup of tea. Had to go back to join the queue to get more water. Cheese and ham toastie turned out to be cheese and onion. I return it and the staff member brought my correct order, but threw it on my table, causing sandwich to fall onto the table. Wont be visiting there again.

Had a sandwich here , made on premises what they don’t say it old stale bread , when I pointed out not interested no offer off replacement or a refund . This is a change catering out let . The compass group

1st visit to The Range in Inverness, thought would also try out the cafe. Unfortunately service was so slow, despite the place not being busy that we walked out, as had another two sets of customers that were behind us. There appeared to be 4-5 members of staff on, so I’m unsure why the service was so poor. Pity that we had such a bad 1st impression. Unlikely to go back or recommend. Went along to costa instead.

Large, soulless coffee shop in the Range Store. Service counter slow and a bit disorganised. Limited, but expensive, choice of cakes, scones etc. Add 25 p if you want butter, another 50p if you want jam!! Coffee was drinkable. Quite a few dirty dishes lying around even though not busy at all. First impressions not good. Will not return.
