Costa Drive Thru in Highland

Parking comments below mean only 3 stars. Staff are friendly and food is fine. But misleading parking.

A great place to get your warm meal in the morning and a good big bucket of coffee. The service was never inpolite or rushed, you always felt welcome at Costa.

Received bizarrely hot coffee. Temperature was close to boiling point. Ordered 4 coffees. 2 americanos and 2 cappuccinos. Sat in the car for 20 minutes and the temperature was still too high to drink the coffee. Our hands were also burned. The coffee was also much too strong, so the taste of the milk could no longer be tasted.

Ordered an Oat Latte with hazelnut syrup, all I got was hot milk.. no coffee or syrup in it..

The absolute worst coffee had in my life, just milk, asked for double shot and frankly left it. Horrid. Nearly didn’t check the car in on counter, disaster of a visit

As I entered the coffee shop was really cold, not inviting me to stay and have another coffee. I ordered 2 maple hazel hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. 1 was asked to be in a takeaway cup. The sever went straight to making it but due to staff issues by the looks of it the 2 other groups of customers waiting to be served just looked on as out order was made. I watched the server make the drinks and both ended up in a glass, also the cream was very runny as I noticed it wasn't stored in the fridge. Nor did she mix the drink up so all the syrup was sitting in the bottom. In fact she even told me to stir it as it was all in the bottom. Surely this should arrive already mixed. You get better service from a vending machine. Also the marshmallows were non existent. I feel I could have got the same service from a supermarket cafe with a barista bar, not the level of service and standards I expect from a Costa. Also this is not the first time I have been let down by this branch, there is no consistency at all here. And it looked as if the sever couldn't care less, the staff definitely need a lot more training on standards and service and need a bit more enthusiasm about them. It was a very dull visit

Drive thru is so busy but despite the pressure the staff are lovely. Girl with the blue hair should be given a raise, a holiday and some more staff to help her! You are amazing!

Went for a quick coffee as the vest coffee shop now closed - Rains . Anyway - regret stopping. Very slow service- no drive through - cold drinks warm . Not friendly and no signs saying drive in closed .

I walked in, didn't see what I wanted and the small queue in front of me did not seem to be moving, do I walked out again.

We used the drive-through. The cups were too full and the coffee was rather watery.

Long wait to be served followed by an incorrect order being served with half portions being given. Sit down to find a half filled pot of the wrong tea again and a missing item. None of the staff wanted to deal with the incorrect order as they were concentrating on the drive through. Toilets don't appear to have been checked in a long time. Ladies and disabled with no toilet paper. I gave up after asking three members of staff to replenish and a 10 minute wait. Good job I carry my own tissues. Won't be visiting there again.

I went here today with my wife and grandchild. The service was really slow , they may have been short staffed , it was quite chaotic at the till with a lot of wrong orders going out , there were also complaints about the coffee. It took ages to get served , when we did get served the food was good but the coffee was more foam than coffee and I'm pretty sure we were over charged but didn't want to go back as I never got a receipt and they were under a lot of pressure and they were very young . The icing on the cake was the toilets , they were disgusting!!!

My friend and I came into a busy service,and a Very dirty place,one staff member was Very rude and told me that "I didn't want oat milk as it made the coffee bitter,I explained that I and allergic to Normal milk so I want oat milk. She continued to argue with me and I said I was in a Costa in Glasgow earlier and they couldn't have been nicer and yes I had oat milk in my coffee. Then a Lovely young gentleman,who was So,nice,went out of his way to give us recommendations of different frappés,he had such a kind and cheerful persona 😄 Thanks Mayank he made me less angry and the other rude staff. This Costa's is a let down to the other ones,it's ashame for the one staff member that was so nice and hard working!

Stopped for coffee just to break a journey up. Its a costa nothing more to say.

I think it's better than Starbucks, but sometimes the coffee spills over the cup and I'm wet. The atmosphere is mediocre, otherwise I think the food is good.

Wasn’t the best experience. I’m a biker and was totally drenched so stoped for a coffee. The staff member proceddd to serve the lady next to me and when I politely said I’m still waiting I was told to look for the “invisible” line on the counter and to stand to the right of it. Not the best of experiences in costa Im afraid and doubt I’d return here

Only 2 staff on so had to wait as it was very busy. Que was out the door. Only had a latte and sausage in a roll.

Good old Costa beats Starbucks hands down for flavour.

Expensive espresso, containing Robusta and served in a cold cup: it's all wrong! Furthermore, 2 pounds for a pair of ginger biscuits is an example of the prices charged here: quite simply excessive for an establishment of this class. The chocolate, very sweet, is really ordinary. Finally, the cleanliness of the tables and surroundings leaves something to be desired.

Very slow at serving customers. At least 5 staff in and only 1 working.No one at drive thru at the time. They all stood about and didn't serve. I was 2nd in queue and had to wait 10 minutes to be served

3 members of staff, no drive through. Only 1 staff serving, 1 cleaning and 1 chatting to friends.

Twice to get the order correct at the counter. Staff must have forgotten my order, was asked again what I ordered and had to wait 15 minutes to get two drinks.

Exceptionally poor service. Not very clean. KFC and exterior look like a wasteland.

Light on but no one's home. Called I for a much needed break on my charity 1000 mile motorcycle ride. It was before 5pm on Saturday in a tourist location, wouldn't have expected it, as it states 6:30pm close. They were cleaning but didn't even look at me when I tried the door. They must have seen me. Poor, how can they get away with this. I could never do this at work.

Everything was the same as in any coffee shop of this chain, in general, everything we took was tasty, the room was a little untidy.

Service was very slow. Staff lacked organisation. Toasted sandwich arrived very slowly and then had to ask again for the ordered drinks. Coffee was sent back as it was only lukewarm. Customers were standing around back to the door waiting to be served.

I would like to give it a good rating. In a high tourist location you would think the branch would make more effort, there was I lightning strap from the roof hanging off and they shut and hour earlier than advertised, the staff member was blunt but helpful enough to point out where did stay open till the normal time. All in all not a great experience. Maybe next time will be better. Getting your lightning rod strap that's hanging next to your main walkway from the carpark to your door would be in the best interests of customer safety.

Nice enough hot chocolate but food was awful. Still frozen in middle or dried out and chewy. Not on par with other Costa branches. Food was inedible

Just so impressed with the staff here. The queue never stopped all the time I was here and the limited (in number) of staff were brilliant. Costa doesn't pay these guys enough (or support them with adequate staff too I would say), they are slaughtered with the number of tourists coming through the doors and must go home every evening totally wrecked. Big respect.

We waited for 30 minutes in the queue to get served. This was despite 4 members of staff working who clearly work in an extremely inefficient manner. When we got to the front of the queue the staff did not acknowledge our wait or apologise.

The slowest costa I’ve been to. Waited in a queue 30 minutes expecting to get to the front and find a single member of staff managing the restaurant. However, fully staffed 4 people there. Really poorly run. Need to sort it out Costa.

What an absolute shambles this place was. People getting served before people that had been waiting for ages. Cold food because they gave you it way before your coffee was ready

Inattentive staff (2 F and 1 M) , oblivious to the concept of customer service.

Probably one of the worst costa coffee outlets the car park is very dangerous with broken kerb stones. And the staff are not very professional.

Coffee was not as good as usual due to new oatmilk product. It affected the taste of the beans. It took a long time to order as the front of house staff member was busy cleaning the cake display and ignored customers. It then took a very cheery young batista a long time to make our order........ 1 drink at a time. I spent almost £30 on 4 drinks and 5 cakes and I was very disappointed. Definitely not what I am used to from Costa. Very pleased for the vegan cookies and cake.

The server was very poor, spilled both hot drinks but simply topped them up but didn't clear the mess on the tray or saucers. Very disappointing

There's nothing better than a Costa Coffee Latte. The McDonalds, especially in Germany, could take an example when it comes to price/performance, where the cup is always full to the brim.

Have visited this particular drive through often as I visit my daughter once a week. Unfortunately every time we go, it takes so long for the drinks to be made. Today we arrived, gave our order. As we pulled up to the window the staff member didn't acknowledge we were there for a few minutes as she was talking to a colleague (not about anything work related) she then made our drinks and gave them to us. We waited for a bit before I had to ask her for our cakes that we had also ordered. Every time we have been here we are waiting at the drive through window for up to 10 minutes. It was not busy at the time we went, through the window hatch we could see the mess of where our drinks were being prepared. Unfortunately and as per usual when we did get our coffees they weren't hot like you'd expect but more of an above average like warm. Usually love going to Costa, however this is by far the least appealing, slowest and unfriendliest Costa i have been too.

A lovely, relaxed, and well-located Costa's. Whether you're staying in one of the nearby hotels or coming down from the Ben via one of the hiking routes down to inverlochy, this Costa's is a short walk away. In terms of menu there's no surprise. I had a toastie and a fruit-cooler as lunch after exploring Fort William during the morning. It was busy but I easily found a seat, and spent another 45 minutes doing some writing in a nice atmosphere, with a bit of nice music and conversation around me, but never too loud.

Very friendly staff on Easter Sunday which made my holiday mood brighter!

I came in for a coffee in the evening. It was meant to be open for another hour, but half the chairs were already on the tables - not very welcoming, but the coffee was good.

The worst Costa, perhaps in whole UK. Dealt by a trainee who made worst drinks possible without a hint of a taste. Hot drinks were cold, cold drink was warmer.

You’re lucky if it’s open and if there’s enough staff to serve you. When there is - they’re lovely

Amazing espresso, drive through service I used , the young lady at 7:30 am of the 21st February 2024 was incredibly smiling, positive and she was so busy but she managed to say Yes sir ill see you on the window Hallo sir when I was at the window Enjoy your day sir when I left What amazing service

Staff seem blissfully ignorant of used cups and trays on nearly every table. Are customers supposed to clear tables themselves?

They closed an hour early on Friday. No notice. Door was just locked….There was still a girl at the register…on her phone…place was dirty and stuff on all the tables, so it was obvious she was no where near being done. Super disappointed….she saw us and just ignored us!

A disappointing stop at this Costa Coffee. The staff were far too busy chatting to one another rather than making an effort to engage with their customers. The shop was dirty with several tables uncleaned.

Terrible customer service, dirty tables, long wait, had to even ask for a napkin and butter knife, we were going to get a cake but decided not as there were fly’s on the cakes, pointed this out to a staff member who basically took no notice. (Saturday around 11.30) Will definitely not be going back anytime soon. Gone very downhill.

We placed a very large and complicated order for our group , jenny was our barista and she was so lovely and polite and got the order completely correct and was very quick too , everything was excellent ......

Coffee was good, the tables were cluttered when we were there, customers had previously had to stack trays to make room, one staff appeared to be doing some training on the laptop (not sure if he could have been asked to just clear the tables), and though the drinks were good, the lack of co-ordination to have the tables cleared and cleaned let it down on this occasion.

Popped in a few times this week but had to sit outside with the pooch. Luckily nice weather, can't understand why you can't take the dog inside. Also can't understand why Costa closed their shop on Fort William High Street.

When they say "large coffee," they're not kidding. The cup was the size of a soup bowl. Good coffee, too.

Einmal und nie wieder. Die Bedienung verschüttete Milch auf der Theke beim Umfüllen in den Milchaufschäumer. Doch anstelle diese aufzuwischen, wurde die Milch mit einem Tuch nach unten auf dem Boden befördert. Dort waren mehrere, schon getrocknete, Milchflecken zu sehen. Ein Kollege kam dazu und nahm dann, zum Reinigen der Düse am Milchauschäumer, einen benutzten schmutzigen Lappen. Sauberkeit sieht anders aus. Das gesamte Cafe war ungepflegt und über den Zustand der Toiletten möchte ich lieber nicht sprechen.

Dieser Costa ist mit Abstand der schlechteste. Dreckig, auf dem Klo funktionieren die Trockner nicht, es sieht schmuddelig aus. Die Bedienung ist sehr langsam, braucht eine Ewigkeit für einen Kaffee. Die Mitarbeiter sind wenig motiviert. es wird mit Sicherheit nicht gekehrt, oder der Müll entsorgt, geschweige denn , gewischt. Und das Büro befindet sich auf einem Gäste Tisch.

Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of Fort William, truely enjoyed my time here. Staff were friendly and there was alot of drinks on offer at the time i was there. The shop is very modern and has some unique design features that set it aside from other Costa Coffees. Not only this, it has a great window view to the mountains and hiking paths surrounding Ben Nevis. Great place, 100% suggest people visit if ever in Fort William, even if just for a quick snack/drink

Worst Costa I've visited. Staff slow and impolite. Manager on site doing nothing to train these staff. Food usual standard as its all premade etc but it took absolutely ages to do 2 wraps.

It's Costa coffee, perfect every time.

Average chain franchise coffee. There are other local coffees that taste much better, but this had a drive thru and we just needed the caffeine.

The Wiltshire cheese and ham toastie tasted great. The ham was not salty and slightly moist, just right. The cheese had the right level of flavour.

Lijkt qua dienst op de Starbucks, maar een stuk minder professioneel. Weinig servicegericht personeel. Inrichting is wel gezellig, maar het was binnen ontzettend vies. Geen enkele schone tafel te vinden en ook stoelen niet schoon. Koffie was overigens prima.

Pas de sandwich frais. Sous emballage plastique 😬 Repas et prix correct
