Excellent early morning option right beside the Stagecoach station. We ordered a six-item set and an omelette. Both were excellent - delicious, very reasonable price. Place clean and spacious. An excellent option for breakfast before onward travel.

Went here purposely for their mid year Christmas dinner……wish I’d held out to have my own in December. Food wasn’t hot but luke warm, vegetables were overcooked so Brussels mushy and carrots as bad. The mashed tatties were not seasoned and lumpy. Turkey dry. Staff looked miserable.

A great place for a meal food is excellent . Cafe is to high standards offering a variety of food . Staff are friendly and welcoming . A must place for meal snacks .

Located just across the bus station in Inverness,Charlie's Cafe is a small but very cosy and beautiful place.Been there lots of times,had many coffees,full breakfast and gammon steaks with chips. Food is very tasty and delicious,toilets can be used only by the cafe's customers and are very clean. Will definitely come back at Charlie's Cafe and recommend it to everybody

Visited here today, first time in years. Absolutely amazing. The restaurant and toilets were immaculate. The staff the last word in perfection, warm welcoming friendly service. The food was out of this world, macaroni and cheese,served with a small salad and beautiful chips and delicious home made bread and butter pudding. All the food was served piping hot,well done. Do not hesitate to visit this cafe, right in the town centre by the bus station.service was very quick as well.

Defo worth a visit, came in for a breakfast roll and ended up with an all day breakfast, was absolutely delicious. Super location in the main bus stand and round the corner from the railway station. Fresh hot food and snacks. A great all day breakfast which will be at least 5 to 7 £ cheaper than your hotel. All the hotels around charge so much more for do less. Go to Charlie’s instead. Free WiFi too. Great owner. Just yesterday in front of me - an old lady walked in and was trying to use a food stamp/ discount coupon that wasn’t valid. But the owner took it and clicked in the discount ❤️ Lots of candy/ juices etc thanks but before your bus trip as well.

It’s a good place to have a coffee while waiting for your bus. Friendly staff, fun decoration. It keeps you warm. I would have stay longer if I didn’t have to catch my bus back to Glasgow.

Was In there on 4th July 2022. Ordered fish chips and peas. Fish fell apart into pieces. Tasted horrible. Chips coloured black and Tasted horrible. There was no way I could eat all of this food. Flies everywhere in the cafe. Disgusting. How this place got good reviews is beyond me. I know now in the future to stay away from this place.

Have seen this cafe many times but never used it. Was waiting for a train - railway station 2 mins. walk away - and nowhere else open at 0715 so tried this. Surprisingly busy and I think others waiting for the Inverness - London King's Cross train had had the same idea. Staff very friendly, varied menu and prices very fair. Food freshly cooked and good. Couldn't fault it.

Two hours to kill between coaches. Pouring with rain and windy so dived in to Charlie’s Cafe at Bus Station to get out of rain. What a fantastic place. Staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. Had a gorgeous cup of tea and a beautiful coffee & walnut cake for £3.50 total. Menu is very varied and so reasonably priced, not ripping their customers off 🙂 Highly recommend Charlie’s Cafe to anyone in transit at Inverness Bus Station.

A good choice for a light meal. We felt that the number of chips was excessive and rather overwhelmed the rest of the meal. Clean and tidy with good service but inevitably busy with bus station passengers.

Before we went to catch the Edinborough train from Inverness,we needed a decent breakfast.Just along from our hotel we found this little cafe which fullfilled all our needs.You name it this cafe as it ,and fresh tooo.We had bacon egg and all the trimmings,plus a real cup of tea brewed and poured from a pot.Decently priced,we mean to use this place on our many trips to Inverness.I even bought a daily paper from the same cafe.

Was at Inverness for a shopping weekend with friends. Found this wee place by chance so glad I did. Had macaroni n cheese it was excellent and very fairly priced. If we go back up that way again would go back.

Simplemente porque está en una ubicación privilegiada, ¡no es necesario que aproveche al público! No es ciencia espacial hacer una taza de té.

I often stop by here for a bacon roll on my way to work in the morning, always good (and at a great price and with fast service too) Work colleagues also recommend Charlies for various meals through out the day.

Martin got this place from his Grandfather "Charlie" who opened it in the 50's.The pictures are on the wall of the original, it has been rebuilt. This is the place to eat or buy snacks and such before your tour, or if you arrive here by bus. We had porridge (oatmeal) bacon and hot drinks the first morning. Everything was great. Like most little diners all the cooking is done in front of you, so you know what your getting. The staff is super welcoming , and it gets busy at times, so be patient. Full breakfast is a bit large, so my wife and I always share. Prices are fair, place is clean. and the late 60's-70's motorbikes are a real flashback. Este lugar increíble. Se ve bien desde el exterior. Tiene motos interesantes sobre las paredes en el interior. Tiene una ventaja enorme: es justo en la estación de autobuses de Inverness. Cuando muchos de los autobuses en que estación, rollo de la Oficina real de la estación de autobuses está cerrado, la información es poco, por lo tanto, su cafetería cierran diario (que también es horrible por cierto) está cerrado, los baños están cerrados, y no hay ningún otro lugar a donde ir entre autobuses). A menos que tengas una hora o así, si no entonces se puede salir a la calle principal, luego son muchos lugares a donde ir. Pero si solo tienes 20 minutos o menos, especialmente en la noche, ésta es su única opción. Que puede ser la única razón por la que sigue abierto. El personal están enojados y desagradables, el té es horrible, y el café es aún peor.

Una rápida pregunta sería si puedo decir en sus últimos pedidos de comida aviso publicado en 18:30 ¿por qué los clientes de desalentar a las 18:15. ¿Por qué no decir últimos pedidos a las 18:15? ? ? Recibes lo que pagas la comida bien. Pero un poco de consejos no hacen sentir su cliente son una molestia para usted.

Me and my partner decided to go in for something to eat after a long day of shopping, it was the bikes on the wall that caught my partners attention, I stood outside with my wee dog while my partner went in to see if dogs were aloud, so he went up to the counter to ask, and the lady walked right passed him with her hand up to his face and said I'm busy! I'm a waitress myself and I would never ever dream of doing that to any of my customers! Eventually she got to my partner and she said yes dogs are aloud, so we ordered and took a seat, I ordered a panini and my partner ordered a steak roll, which was meant to come with mushrooms and onions, it was a roll with a rubber bit of steak on it, nothing else, my panini was absolutely vile! It was freezing! The cheese was rubber and the bacon looked under cooked! I had one bite and left it, the lady that was going about cleaning tables kept scowling at us! I'm not one for making a sene so we left! I can't get over the attitude of the staff, absolutely shocking! Will never return, Which is a shame because my partner wanted to talk to the owner of the cafe about the bikes, but the women in this establishment were very unapproachable! Ladies you let the cafe down!

Charlie era maravilloso y su personal. Nos tomamos el desayuno (sabrosa torta de carne, café caliente, y la placa de 4 elemento) y nos sentamos un rato. Comimos el desayuno y los lugareños nos conversó con algunos y dieron a conocer a Charlie un poco. Agradable para conseguir dos estomacal completo por 10 dólares. Nos dirigimos a la estación de autobuses y Charlie nos persiguieron por diez minutos más tarde con nuestra bolsa nos habíamos dejado detrás! Qué increíble ser humano. Nos sentimos como en una pequeña ciudad del norte solía ser.

Great value for money meals. Packed with goodness. Great service. Food comes hot to the table. You can sit while waiting for your bus. Plenty of room. The all day breakfast was filling and got me ready for the next bus journey.

Mi macaroni es la más horrible que he tenido, es super grasienta, literalmente empapado en aceite. No he comida de residuos, pero no consigue terminar bowl de comida que poco. Es simplemente horrible. Mi compañero tenía Mixed Grill y no es buena. Hongos de aceite impregnado en, y disfrutamos de estrujar aceite fuera de esos pequeños inofensivos vegetales de color gris. El bistec es recocida y duro. Ninguno de los alimentos parecían a la parrilla.

Por desgracia, nuestro autobús llegó tarde y el conductor necesitaba un descanso antes de que podía conducir de nuevo hacia el sur, así que visitamos el lado tienda de Charlies para comprar bebidas, aperitivos y papeles para abordar el autobús! La señora que nos servía era muy amable y servicial y la comida que vimos que se sirve muy buena pinta para comida estilo café! !

We share a portion every day we are in UK.. the fish was a bit smaller and less chips but by far best price in Inverness which is expensive. LOVE THE PEAS not mushy but very tasty and bit of salad. For the price it was good. Place clean and staff very friendly. Having owned a few restaurants, they could save money and rubbish with bottles of ketchup and vinegar!!

stopped here for breakfast after arriving in inverness and can safely say it's one of the best breakfast rolls I have had and husband and kids all enjoyed their plates of breakfast, service was fast and friendly will definitely come again

Having had a problem with slow service on my last visit -- the last thing you need when snatching some food between buses -- it's good to be able to report that on this occasion the service was excellent, the chips were very acceptable and the fish was truly excellent -- portions weren't large, the quality was good and the deep frying well done.Excellent toilet facilities, entry being made available by the cashier releasing the door lock when payment has been made for food.I'm glad to see that Charlie's has done well this time round.

Charlie's is a basic canteen style cafe, handily located next to the bus station and is ideal for killing a few minutes whilst waiting for a bus.The service is efficient and not unfriendly. Tables are kept clean, though you may find yourself sharing as there aren't many small tables.I had a bacon roll there today which was nice, tasty bacon and a good soft roll. Had a black coffee too which unfortunately wasn't great (it's filter coffee not ground). There was a good range of meals available, not that i can comment on themWorth baring in mind its cash only. Charlie's isn't a destination for a meal, but it's perfectly fine if you're looking for a quick snack or to kill time.

This long-established Italian restaurant is ideally situated at the edge of the main bus and coach station in Inverness. Very convenient for travellers.On this occasion, however, the service was extremely slow; I'd been travelling for eight hours and just had twenty minutes beween buses, but in spite of telling the staff when I eventually got served, they didn't seem to have any sense of urgency.Price -- probably OK for the quantity provided.Quality -- the fish was good, but fairly small. The chips were average. It was a pity, however, that the food was very politically-correct and supplied with only a tiny sachet of salt. Absence of enough salt rather spoiled things. A little more effort and the offer of more salt would have improved things considerably. Easy faults to remedy.

We arrived at the Bus Station at 7-45 am to find that Ashers, the cafe in the bus station was not open. We opted for Charlie's Cafe next door which was open.It is a very old fashioned sort of cafe but offers most breakfast options. Service was quick. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly and efficient. The elderly waitress who served our breakfasts was less so.The food was average but perfectly adequate with big portions. Not the fanciest breakfast I have ever had but it set us up perfectly for our bus trip to Edinburgh.

Less than an hour between buses meant I needed a quick lunch. Home style meals await at this small diner. Food is traditional and cooked fresh. I had the macaron and cheese and for 2.95 it was a plentiful and tasty lunch.

I had a baked Tattie with cheese. Tattie was hot on outside but stone cold in the middle. Cheese was rubbery and placed on side of plate and so had not melted at all. Wouldn't eat there again.

We thought this would be a good place to eat having just arrived by bus. Wrong. As hungry as I was, I could NOT eat the Macaroni and Cheese dish I ordered. It was incredibly greasy and the macaroni over cooked. My husband's sandwich was no better. Greasy cheese. Horrible.

Always a tasty option of homemade soup which changes daily and great value for money. Service is quick and the cafe is clean and bright. It's open seven days a week so really handy to pick up a bite to eat before getting the bus.

Had to laugh at the previous persons comments about the napkins. The 'Just One' they refer to is actually the makers branding for that particular dispenser. When you pull a napkin from it just one comes out. I happen to know as we have one in our establishment. Think they should go to Specsavers lol!! As for the food and service, I've always found it to be great value for money and the girls are always very pleasant towards me. I have been going to Charlie's for years and I particularly love their macaroni.

The staff are rude, you are not allowed to substitute any items in the all day breakfast and there's a sign on the napkin dispenser to inform you that it's one napkin per person. Very unwelcoming. They only accept cash. The breakfast is mostly cheap fillers like hash browns and beans, no mushrooms or black pudding and no chance to substitute. Bacon was soggy and fried egg was like rubber. I can't remember the last time I encountered such rude and unhelpful staff. Give it a miss.

In spite of the name, this is a long-established Italian café, one of several cafés located in or immediately adjacent to the bus station, a major terminus for long-distance coaches as well as many local bus services.Charlie's Café has stuck to its roots as far as its approach is concerned and is a firm favourite with locals as well as travellers. Good selection of newspapers, too. Just the place to have a quick bite while waiting for your bus. And decent toilets, though naturally they're only for patrons of the café, to the chagrin of those trying to avoid paying for the none-too-great facilities in the bus station booking office.Charlie's does what it sets out to do and does it very well. Measured against the immediate competition, it shows up well.

I am waitress myself in all my times Iv done waitress work would never be rude I came to here for quick coffee after getting off bus to wait for another bus as soon as I got in door she shouted that bits closed off didn't need shout and be so rude then when I got to til the other lady said what do u want sorry but that's no way to speak to people I said coffee and she said we are closed in 10 minutes I knew they were closing I just wanted a quick coffee manners don't cost anything
