Costa Coffee in Highland

The service was good and the coffee was great. Free parking.

We have always had great experiences when visiting Costa but this branch certainly bucks the trend. Food on the floor, one of the ladies toilets was out of action and the coffee machine looked in need of a good clean. Our coffee was ok.

A Costa like all other Costa's. Good coffee to a high price.

Absolutely filthy. Came for coffee and left in disgust. Cold food delivery that should have been on a fridge just sat on floor. Coffee machine didn't look like ever cleaned. If it was our first Costa visit I would never return,luckily it wasn't because it is normally our first visit.

Closed early at 5pm. However if you know the staff, just knock on the door and they bring you out a FREE coffee, in front of a queue of bewildered people. Costa, get rid of staff handing out free products

The food & drink are great. The atmosphere is pretty busy from my experience.

Ordered 2 cheese toasties to take out, when I got back to the car we opened them to eat them and they hadn't even been cut in half...I know it's not the Ritz, but we are not heathens! Basic customer commonsense needed.

Just an average noisy place. For lack of others, you can also do it here.

Damaged toilets - both door and wall. In cubicle, there was rubbish on the floor. Every unoccupied table was uncleared, both inside and out, with dirty cups and plates on them. Floor was filthy, staff behind counter not doing much. Either understaffed (and queue did move quickly to be fair) or a manager needs to come in and take charge of this place. Compares very badly to other coffee shops.

Stopped on our travels today However, unfortunately toilets had issues... Broken flush press button Flush threw water up over the seat No Handsoap and definitely NOT clean When we came out to find a seat there were no clean tables anywhere to eat and with a long queue to the door we decided to go elsewhere

Limited choices, no cream for drinks, could do with a good clean - not the best Costa I've been in. Young female server was nice

Not enough staff for this branch, toilets absolutely filthy, place also hadn't been tidied up after what looks like a possible busy spell, that's ok if it's busy but the staff were just standing around at that point. Coffee was burnt and my cup felt half empty. Normally really rate a Costa coffee but not from this branch. Plenty of other nicer coffee places in Aviemore , better go to one of them instead.

Took to long from ordering to reviving about 10 minutes the shop is not that busy

Such lovely staff - makes the experience all the better. 10/10 customer service. Bethany was lovely and very helpful and there was another very friendly red haired barista.

Good system in place, just a pity some individuals dont follow the entry/exit doors properly!

Low score is because the wifi speed is miserable here - completely unusable at these speeds. The staff, coffee, food, store cleanliness was great - but I came here because they advertised wifi which I really needed - and it ended up a waste of time.

Very busy Costa but the usual lovely coffees. Cakes were a bit stale, but that’s just timing.

Stopped in for a quick coffee in Aviemore the coffee was look warm at best and the place looked like it could do with a good clean and the toilet door was broken disappointed as I usually have a good experience in costa in Livingston

When we parked up we were a bit confused as it looked like the shop was shut with the chairs up on the tables already at about 6pm. The service and food was good.

Every single table piled with dirty dishes, dirty floors, stained and ripped furniture (sofa in corner), milk spilled over counter in coffee service area. Such a shame as this used to be a great location but has gone very much downhill. All of this is fixable by good leadership, management and training.

Josh and Hope were amazing and served us promptly to a really high standard. They’re both a credit to Costa, my son remarked how quick they were reducing some considerably long queues! Very friendly and knowledgeable team.

Ordered an iced coffee latte. Had coffee all around the world & this was by far the worst i have ever had. staff not interested, wash room filthy last time I ever set foot in costa fortune for a rotten coffee would give it zero

Overpriced and very poor quality

Guy at the till had bad attitude - not a hello (or any acknowledgement that I was standing there) as I was waiting to be served, heard him being rude about another customer, then put through the wrong order for me. Got a bad impression and will go elsewhere in future.

Queued for 20 mins in a fairly short queue (4 people in front of me), with three staff on most Costas would deal with. Had a coach to catch so abandoned hot drinks. Staff were not bothered at all, pretty awful. When I did get served the person that served strolled out of the back.

This place is my usual.Go to when IHOP off the bus.And before I have time to grab a cup of tea before work staff are always friendly and recognized me and have my drink ready to go would always recommend coming here if you've got time to kill for a hot drink and some food

Friendly staff, it was a little quiet. Ordered 2 large mochas and 2 tiffin our favourite.quick service. Toilets need a little attention.

Terrible customer service. 2 drinks in paper cups and 2 cakes in a paper bag. We repeated repeated we wanted to eat in. Obviously they can’t be bothered to wash up.

We waited 40 minutes to be served, by this time our coach was due to leave so, we had to get takeout cups ! Not what we went in for at all.

Having spent a lot of money in this cafe over the last few years I find it hard to swallow the continual price increases that Costa impose on their customers. I have only visited this cafe a handful of times since they increased the prices a few months ago, now a FW is an extortionate £3.55, Wowsers!! Not only that but the number of coffees required to generate a free one has also increased, so, therefore a coffee is probably something like 18% more expensive (in real terms) than it was a year ago. Costa should be mindful that without tourists Aviemore is a quiet town and already has a plentiful supply of cafes with competitive pricing. Sure, costs have increased but Costa are now ripping customers off. I won’t be back.

It's pretty obvious you can't run a busy shop with two members of staff. 1 in 5 people leaving without being served unless you like to wait half an hour to be served then another half an hour to get what you ordered.

Went in store this afternoon just after 3pm waited over 10 mins to get servered. Staff didn't even say hi or anything. Ordered a sticky toffee latte which looked lovely in the ad and this is what I got. Shocking

Good experience until… My order was taken by a nice and welcoming girl while Bethany was preparing coffee for customers with her back to the till. She was juggling through all them milks and syrups while politely answering colleagues questions. My coffee and toasties was promptly prepared BUT the muffin was missing. I merely whispered ‘there’s a muffin missing’ and Bethany immediately went: ‘it was sicilian lemon, right?’. Focus and awareness - legendary!

We stopped for coffee en-route back home to England from the highlands. Coffees were perfect (including the Mochas) and the banter appreciated, thank you!

Incredible hospitality from the staff, visited for the week from the South to paddle the spey and the staff made sure to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Open on 3rd October 23. Nice standard costa, only downside the toilet was not working and wasn’t working on the whole complex.

- Fully open and operating as of 23 Sep 2023 although the google map says it is temporarily closed. - One of the best Costa baristas I have ever seen in the country so far - some pictures are attached for flat whites. - Staff members are very friendly and I very much enjoyed my time here. - They got my ‘flat white’ and ‘a decaf flat white with an extra espresso shot’ mixed on my second visit though. They might want to improve their system by printing and passing the receipt - or some written instructions - between baristas rather than relying on verbal communications only. - You get what you expect from a Costa in a positive way :)

3 polite young men working under pressure with the contant flow of customers. I've been in a few times this week and always greeted cheerily. Doing a great job lads !

Staff swearing in front of me and a can’t be bothered attitude. Toilets had piss everywhere. Grim.

We came in with a group of 16 for a quick lunch. We needed to sit down inside because it was bucketing down with rain. Even though we made the staff a wee bit flustered, we all found something to eat and somewhere to sit fairly quickly. The wee girl heating up the toasties was the fab. She was very zippy and quick, and everything was heated up and cut nicely. The coffee machine was a bit of a mess. There was milk and coffee everywhere. However, maybe a clean coffee machine is only an Italian thing.

Very busy Costa, all the staff were quite young and lovely despite being run of their feet.

Like all other Costa Coffee Outlets, a good range of foodstuffs to go with your Cuppa. Prices not particularly cheap. The young staff behind the counter did very well to give quick service to a constant long queue. However as with all outlets of this type there was not enough staff to clear tables and diners were forced to offload previous customers cups on to any unoccupied table

Lovely place. Staff were under stress with a broken dishwasher but coped brilliantly. Professional and cheery.

Following list of issues 1-no toilets, been like this for months 2-air-conditioning blowing very cold even though it was only 14 degrees outside 3-arrived just before 1pm with little food left 4-the fixtures and fittings are ready for a refurb 5-Table was dirty

Stopped on our way to Inverness on a coach party had a takeaway as only had an hour stop. Worst coffee I have had , both myself and my wife threw the drinks away. Regular Costa goers and always enjoyed our coffee's

Hot day and with my two Bernese dogs, needing a coffee before another 2 hour drive. Coffee was great, but the staff were even better, as they took care of the dogs so I could pop in and pay and they brought them a big bowel of iced water. Thanks

Got a drink for myself and grandchildren my coffee was hot but hot chocolate was cold they did it again but came back cold disapointing

Bestel nooit een grote koffie, dan krijg je een halve liter slappe koffie. Alles is kant en klaar dus je kunt geen zelfgemaakte broodjes bestellen. Personeel is aardig.

Absolutely amazing staff!! Nicola,Kinga and I’m sorry if I’m wrong but I think it was Nick,cannot get better staff than who are in Aviemore. They made a coffee visit into such an amazing afternoon full of chat,laughs and my 1 year old absolutely adored the ladies,they had so much time for him. The best service I have ever received from anywhere.

Yet again takeaway only. Staff advised us we could not sit in with our takeaway cups over an hour before closong. Regular visits here and this is the usual response when we come. Snowing and 4 tables outside..fantastic service Costa. Waste of a prime spot in Aviemore.

This has become my favourite coffee stop in Aviemore. Nicola, Kinga, Nathan, Reegan, Tara, Sophie, Sacha & team are always warm, welcoming & deliver excellent customer service. They know so many of the regulars by name and preferred drink ordered. They with out a doubt provide a third place and sense of belonging in a time where the world continues to be unsettled. I frequently go in for my skinny flat white fix, foodie treat & leave with a smile on my face. Thank you all for making my days! :-)

I always go to this Costa on the weekend, I love the guys there at the weekend, just a great bunch, my favourite ones to be honest, I think our Costa in Aviemore is great for us locals and visitors, the best Costa staff there definitely, smiley and friendly and you can have a wee giggle with them, they work hard it's a busy place. I go mostly around 3.30 I've never had a problem getting a drink then although it is takeaway cups then, which again I don't have a problem with. If my weekend guys leave I would be so sad the are the best

Wanted drinks and the loo so stopped as we knew we’d get both. Drinks fine and hot and loo available so met our needs and sat for a while before moving on.

Stopped in just for coffee on journey at 10am. Staff were friendly enough, coffee was good. Toilet was filthy, definitely had not got that dirty ,that morning. Flooring in toilet badly needing replaced, discoloured. Will try a different coffee stop next time.

NICEST STAFF EVER AT A COSTA, so helpful and lovely, I've been in a lot of costas, defo the loveliest most helpful staff. My autistic son was having a meltdown over a locked out of order toilet so they opened it also. Nothing was a problem and they all had smiles. Nice on a Sunday morning at 9am. Don’t arrive after 15:30. Opening hours are meant to be until 16:00, but usually the cafe is closed by 15:45 with the doors locked. Not set up to serve the ebbs and flows of a ski town, when most people will be looking for a drink on their way home.

Popped in for a coffee en route to Inverness as I had a meeting to dial in to. The staff in the Aviemore Costa were incredibly friendly and helpful. They also offered to bring my coffee to my table once it was ready which I've never experienced in another Costa. The coffee I had (flat white) was the perfect 🥰 If you're in the area I'd recommend dropping in.

​I don't tend to write unsolicited reviews, but I felt I had no option in this case. My wife and I were holidaying in the Aviemore area and were surprised to see that the local Costa closed at 4 pm, so we arrived well ahead of time. Upon entering the cafe at 3:25 pm, I was even more surprised to find chairs upended and stacked on top of most tables. The service was slow and not particularly friendly, with around two customers ahead of me and 4-5 behind me. Eventually, I re-joined my wife at an outside table; sitting in didn't appear to be an option. I had my back to the cafe entrance; however, my wife saw the staff lock the door at 3:50 pm, and ten customers arrived within the next few minutes only to turn away, disappointed. We are regular customers at one or other of the four Costa cafes in Perth and never have had any reason for complaint; however, the Aviemore Costa gets a big thumbs down from us for poor service and its early closing. Aviemore is a tourist hotspot, but this Costa cafe must lose much business. To make things worse, my wife's Americano tasted like dishwater.

The worst Costa ever ! First of all it was freezing cold when we walked in, other customers next to us where saying it was warmer outside , we thought exactly the same . 50 mins till closing time and we are getting our coffees in takeaway cups ( which we never asked for ) and our cakes in the bag instead of a plate . Our coffees were mixed ( we asked for one with one shot of coffee ) came labelled wrongly what we discovered later. 35 mins till closing and the girl staff member starts putting chairs on the tables to make sure no one will use them from now on making us and other customers feeeling Uncomfortable. We left 5 mins after that and will never be back . Shocking 😳

This is the worst costa coffee I have been in. The tables was filthy with food particles left. The seats are stained. One table shows cracks in the wooded table top. Four female staff all behind the counter laughing and messing around, instead of doing their job. Yuk.

Service was excellent, no hanging around, only in the Q but the barista was very quick at his job. I'll deffo be back

Just visited Costa Aviemore. I had a bad experience here before a few years ago. Not much has changed. 20 past 3 in the afternoon. Half of cafe had chairs on tables. Staff advised us it was takeout only. We asked a woman / girl...

There didn't seem to be enough staff on to clear the tables. At the time we entered there were only two staff. We found the floor needed a good sweep, sweep crumbs off of the soft furnishings and clear the tables in a timely manner. The cutlery wasn't the cleanest either. Having said that, the staff were very pleasant. The coffee was great and the food was pleasant. Its not a good idea to have soft furnishings in a café as our seats had ground-in food on them. I'll not go back again.

I do home repair and Go there probably 2-3 time at day. Nice all stuff and very friendly. Quickly service all the time.

Was closed when i arrived at 4pm not impressed.

Nice staff but the service time for the barista to make the drinks is far too long, visited three times over a month period and each time the same. Also there is no bins to dispose of your rubbish either internally or externally so tables are left with previous customers items left until a member of staff is free to come and remove. Not the best way to be runnning a Costa branch!

Like any other Costa however toilets were shut on this occasion which was inconvenient
