The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Scotland

Went in wanting a cooked brunch only when it arrived everything was cold. My partner and myself ordered a Scottish breakfast and the banoffee stack to share and the breakfast was absolutely shocking!! Everything was cold and over cooked. The bacon was stone cold with congealed fat on it, the mushrooms were dry and crispy, the eggs were very over done and almost burnt with how crispy the edges were, the toast was cold and burnt as well. The only part of the breakfast that was edible was the potato scone and the sausages. The pancakes however were quite good. Decent stack of pancakes with a good amount of toffee sauce but would have been nice to have a little more banana. The coffees were okay but definitely not the best. Service was okay but would say the kitchen needs some improvements.

Our family were visiting Go Play, Go Sniff just outside Ayr with our four legged friend a few days ago. We stopped in at GRO Ayr cafe, which allows & caters for dogs too. What a fantastic place. They had many options for us coeliacs in the party & also for another who is allergic to milk, egg & shellfish. Lunch was delicious & the staff were very well informed. Our dog enjoyed his bacon & chicken lunch too. After 90 minutes at the best dog park we have ever visited, we decided to stop back in at GRO Ayr for coffee & cake where we were delighted to find a number of gluten free & vegan home baked options to choose from that were a far cry from the usual wrapped brownie etc which leave a lot to be desired. The cakes were so good we even brought some home with us. They even made a customised soya milk shake with vegan yoghurt instead of ice cream which was delicious. The cakes are on an open counter & staff did point out the fact that they weren’t wrapped etc so cross contamination could happen but I was very happy when I went to the counter & seen the layout & from talking to the staff that every care had been taken & we have suffered no ill effects. We will definitely return as we will revisit Go Play, Go Sniff. I have noticed that people are complaining about the wait time on here, but if you go at lunch time & the food is cooked to order then you need to be prepared to wait. The staff were all friendly, kind & so helpful as only one of our party has no special dietary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble. The ambience was well done too. We loved it & will definitely stop there if we are ever passing.

Really sad I'm unable to review anything on offer here as service was so slow we couldn't stay long enough to try anything. Severe lack of staff on Saturday afternoon meant a long queue for service. Waited ages in the queue but didn't make any progress towards the front. Another member of staff appeared and asked the guy serving if he was alright on his own and he said he was coping but maybe they should have asked those standing in the queue if they would have preferred him to get some help!!!!! Such a shame as it has lovely views from the tables overlooking the park. We then drove 30 minutes home for our coffee so don't know which was quicker. Maybe someone called in sick and left them short but won't return in case this is normal .

This cafe is a total rip off with expensive inferior food. On entering there is a large covered counter with an array of cakes, all without prices. I asked the assistant at the counter how much one particular cake was and she replied she had no idea but I would find out at the till !!!!! Really - you think I'm going to do that!! would it be too much trouble to have a price on each of the shelves? Afterwards I found that seemingly cakes were FROM £3, gateau £4 and an extra £1.50 for cream. FROM does not specify an exact cost does it? To only find out how much your order costs when you get to pay at the till is unacceptable and quite ridiculous. Two of my friends decided to have the homemade soup (either lentil or tomato)but unfortunately both were awful, cold, glutinous and inedible. So called 'homemade' was probably from a cheap catering pack, add to water and voila Homemade. I therefore decided not to have anything to eat and had a cup of tea. The cost for 2 uneaten soups, 2 lukewarm lattes and 1 tea was almost £22. Wish we had gone to Caulders for some proper food instead. Definitely would never return and have already warned some of my friends to avoid and go instead to the Boatyard Cafe in the park or any other place.

Very dirty, 1/10 service and the workers smelt of sweat. I asked for nuts free products and all the products contained traces of nuts.

I had the chicken tika & asked for it to be served on a hot plate & it sure was 👍 😁 I also asked to have my toffee apple slice served with hot 🔥 custard & that happened BUT the last time I was in the custard was as only warm - probably they don't want to burn the mouth of some folks. I left a wee smidgen of my rice 'cos it was all a bit FIRM & not soft & fluffy. BUT the nan breed tasted lovely & the 🐥 was tender 😁

I ordered gammon to be told they have none. The one girl said we have one left. When it came it had no egg and looked and tasted like it was cooked yesterday. Didn’t give my child beans. When I complained about no egg or beans the man said he’d get it and went off to do something else. I waited so long I went and complained, to be told we could make you another gammon! I reordered something else. The staff were just mulling about not doing much. I waited so long and my husband and child had finished theirs so I went back to say I wanted a refund and how unhappy I was. I left unfed and fuming. Never eat there. Not very clean either.

Apenas hay nada para los veganos en Escocia. ¡He estado en muchos! Sin embargo, en ese sitio web enumeran muchos. Well over priced ,soup 3 spoonfuls gown, for nearly £6 , sadly a bit pricey for me but it is what it is, nice staff

Truly lovely place to eat . Great menu for perfect Scottish cuisine and great personal service . On our first visit it was a choice of coffee and delicious cakes . On our return visit for breakfast muckle toon breakfast was the best .

Mi decaf americano no estaba recién hecho y sabía a café instantáneo. Arranca. ¡Incluso pedí un reemplazo y sirvieron lo mismo de nuevo!
