Great service, prices are ridiculous. 5.55 for a bottle of Peroni. Nothing available on tap, not the first time this has happened.

Would love to rate but closed today underwhelmed.

Always stop here for a pint when travelling, always brilliant when I'm in, and I was heartbroken to find out its closing

No chef no food, miserable staff. More atmosphere in a dentist waiting room before route canal treatment.

In Friday 8th September 2023 to meet friend, air con leaking puddle left at top of stairs where bar is. Serious accident could happen. As for toilet,small, unkept, lock hanging off . Management really need to step up.

Great spot for all the train users in Glasgow. I recently went in for all day breakfast and this was excellent value for money. The portion size was just what the Doctor ordered. The staff are very helpful and friendly too! Special Mention to Aaron, Aiden and Lewis. Even though they are very busy they all have time for a chat. Highly Recommended.

Not so good. It's grubby, gloomy and cold. No view of trains. Beer & food look unappealing. Central Station needs a better bar than this.

Excellent service! Was in tonight for a quick drink before the train home, it was extremely busy but Aidan and Josh ( I think that’s his name)were really welcoming and attentive and did not make you feel like you were being rushed, will definitely be back with the husband for some food and a drink!

Was just in last night with some pals for a quick pint while we waited on our train but the staff mad you feel like you’d been drinking there for years! Boy that served us was called Ben nd honestly, he just seemed like some boy with a class attitude to work n just a heavy good energy tbh. Well priced, good atmosphere, great pints and phenomenal service! 10/10 will be back

Had an hour to kill so decided to go to The Beer House. Great sevice and atmosphere :) Belgian waffles with back bacon and maple syrup with Latte and cheeky pink gin with lemonade :P

Service was diabolical. Zero welcome. Couldn’t find the breakfast I wanted in the till and tried to charge me for a more expensive one. Nipped off to kitchen with no explanation as to why. Finally placed my order. Waited ages for a simple cooked breakfast only to then be told they had no hash browns and would I like an alternative. Asked for mushrooms. Server came back and said there were no mushrooms so would I like extra bacon to which I said yes. Breakfast was then served with no cutlery. I asked for some which was delivered without a word of apology. I pointed out that the toast I’d ordered had been brought to me without the butter mentioned on the menu. Butter then delivered without a word. One star given for decent food. Service was shocking. Avoid! *owner has asked for time and date of my visit but I can’t work out how to respond to them so leaving details here. It was Wednesday 10th May from approx 11:40am - 12:25pm

Was there 2 weeks ago. Ordered a meal deal apparently for 9.99. They made a commotion at the bar that something was wrong didnt noticed i paid 38.99 for 2 burgers 2 beers and 2 fries. Also missed my train cause we were waiting for the food for 40 min🤣🤣. Luckly we live local so our next train was in 20 min. Will never go there again🤬🤬🤬

Overall great experience, the staff were so helpful and friendly, Andrew especially was very helpful and offered good recommendations. The pub has a good selection to choose from & great to hop into before a night out or before a train. The food in here has a wide menu of option, offered vegetarian/vegan option. They also offered bar snack. I had a chicken ceaser salad which was an excellent size potions so filling & tasted amazing & I also had a double potions of there mozzarella sticks bar snacks which were so good 😁 overall great experience and will be returning.

One person serving at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Server was doing a great job but a queue a mile long.

Decent pub but not cheap. Checking my bank statement, I was charged £4.55 for a half pint of Guinness while waiting for a train recently.

Came in with a few mates. Had a good laugh with the manager Craig and a girl called Nicole. Drink reasonably priced for a train station. Only thing I would change is offer hot sauce as an option for the chicken wings! Other than that I will almost certainly come back here again when meeting up with mates in G-town.

Zo ver mogelijk weg blijven. We waren mat een groep van 20 personen en bestelden ieder en hamburger. NA 1,5 uur hadden we er 12. De broodjes die we kregen waren ronduit smerig. Hamburgers waren aanvankelijk zwart met bakresten van maanden. De laatste hamburgers waren koud. Ze hadden geen sla, eieren en zelfs geen Guiness. Absoluut waardeloze tent. En we moesten maar begrip voor HUN opbrengen omdat ze maar met drie waren. We moesten uiteindelijk gaan om ons vliegtuig te halen. Complete afgang daar

Came in for a quick drink with friends on our way to the Ed Sheeran gig. Was recommended a really nice and reasonable priced Sauvignon Blanc by the manager Craig, who managed to upsell a couple more bottles- not that we needed much encouragement! Ideal for a quick stop before travelling.

Reasonable range of beers on offer. Decent bottled ciders. Lots of seating. A good place to wait for your train.

Prices are fair and served quickly comfortable chairs so its good for starting off your weekend and locations perfect if waiting on a train.

This was a bit of sadness as my hubbie and l used to meet here in the 80s,he passed away last Thursday and my daughter,and l went in for a few drinks,lovely friendly barman and good priced drinks

It’s a bar in the middle of a train station. Hard really to build it up much beyond that. However if you fancy a quick pint, a drink when waiting for friends or an early start to a weekend away, then it is impossible to overlook the convenience

My friend and I seemed invisible at the bar and when we eventually did get served it was like getting blood out of a stone finding out what red wines he had. No rioja or Cabernet Sauvignon? Eventually settled on one that I didn't particularly want. I think £18.90 is crazy for two large glasses of wine

Very nice pub/ bar. Burger was good and service was great and the place is kept clean. An easy going hassle free vibe. If you've got some time to wait for a train you could do worse than spending some time at The Beer House

Waiting on a train and saw a sign beer from £4.40 and wine from £3.95. Great option so took the kids in, got a pint ( £4.40 ) and a large Pino plus a glass of coke. No ice available no problem. £15.88 total, so wine and a wee coke £11.48. That’s more expensive than the Christmas market. Be aware of the costs here as signs are Misleading.

Great beer, food, music and atmosphere

I had to kill sone time while waiting 2 hours for a train - let's just say I popped in to keep warm & have a seat. It's a busy little place & comfortable & warm with the footie on TV. I enjoyed the atmosphere & it kept me warm until nearly time to go for the train.

If there isn’t football on the TV there’s every chance you might get served and empty glasses may get collected from the tables.

Lost my phone here and pretty sure the staff kept it.

Popped in for a hot chocolate and pint birra moretti as our train was a few hrs away. We came to glasgow to see bono(u2) Very nice and clean and staff is friendly and very helpful his name was Thomas (give him a pat on the back) If I visit glasgow again I'll definitely come back

Disappointed, to say the least. We went here specifically because my partner loves Orchard Thieves cider, and this is the only place we know in Glasgow to get it. First disappointment: It was off, tap covered because " the chiller broke down this morning" . She settled ( reluctantly) for a bottle of Bulmers. I wanted the Strongbow dark fruits. Guy starts to pour it, sputtering and stuttering from tap, pink foam , nothing else "oh, I'll need to change the barrel" I opted for Amstel lager ( I like it, but not a first or even second choice option) since nothing else on gantry appealed. So, we tried to order lunch. "3 BAR SNACKS ( £4 EACH) FOR £10 " screamed the cards on every table, so we went for the deal, only wanted a light snacky lunch. 6-7 choices on the offer, partner can only eat the chicken wings , I can eat any of them. So, " We'll have 1 x Meat balls, 1xBBQ wings, ( one each ) and 1 x teryaki wings ( share option for us) " oh sorry, we don't have any wings " .So, not what we wanted in drink, no food . Now, I will temper this review with the rider that it is the first time I have been in, but my partner has been several times while waiting for train for a cider , and no complaints. Maybe We just hit an off day , I don't know.However I am loath to try again an d be disappointed once more . BTW, the blue Lagoon sit-in next door supplied a first class all day breakfast and fish supper for lunch .

Handy for meeting people, or while waiting for a train. It lacks atmosphere, but the staff are friendly, there's a reasonable range of drinks, and the food is decent enough.
