Tesco Cafe in Glasgow City

Couldn't cut the baked potato's it was overcooked I asked for them to put the tuna on a sandwich because we had no time to wait. 10 minutes later they serves us toast and tuna .Worst food ever

Dirty plates on table left for 10 minutes only take away when my order came out disgusting and breakfast was cold when arriving had to ask for it to be warm got put in microwave and was rock solid when it came back did even bother to eat it spent 21.35 for nothing will never go back disgusting .

The food was awful. Child’s chicken goujons and fries were inedible. Like a lump of batter and all dried up. Panini was so dry and tasteless. What has happened? A year ago the place was so good, no wonder it’s empty now. The staff at front desk were lovely.

Quick and friendly staff. Mediocre food. Music way to loud and just passes on cleanliness.

Good Quality food and hot drinks we received very promptly and Chloe was a star. Under pressure but was calm and very pleasant.

£34 for 2 paninis with hardly anything in them, 1 egg and bacon brioche and chicken wrap…. The paninis were so pathetic looking, goats cheese and caramelised onions with almost no cheese, a ham and cheese panini with almost no cheese and a pathetic slice of cheap ham…. Plus 3 coffees and 1 Pepsi. Get a grip.

Cup of tea and a bap........ waiting 20 minutes. 2 people on the tea / coffee/till, 1 doing all the cooking. Give this place a wide berth unless you have a few hours to spare!

Not ordering from here again Couple orders have food missing. I see the point if couple add ons are missing but not whole meals and drinks. No contact either to get another one sent out. Waste of money

very under staffed. We waited 30-40 miutes for breakfast but were given our coffee straight away which was almost finished when we got our food. The food was over cooked and luke warm. There seemed to be a just eat deliveries being done at the same time. We did not complain at the time but did ask how long our food would be, as we were hungry and had just arrived back form Spain on an early flight. Very disappointing wouls not reccomend anyone visit for food

Got 2 panini's and doesnt even come with a bit of salad or anything.. tuna and spring onion was one of them and it had one small piece of spring onion in it. Absolutely shocking for the price they charge certainly won't be back

Lovely wee cafe with wonderful, friendly, down to earth staff, despite the them being under staffed and probably over worked. Menu is good and reasonably priced, and portion sizes are good, and food is always well cooked. Usually have the breakfast with a portion of toast, but today I had the vegan breakfast, which I was really happy with. Nice relaxed atmosphere, good for a wee catch up with friends or family.

Poor leadership front staff boy and woman trying there hardest doing orders making coffee rest of staff don’t seem to bother hospital food is far superior management need to employ more staff to help and better standards of food….

OK,here we go.We arrived at 11.40am to 1 very cool,calm and amazing woman serving on her own behind the counter taking orders and making tea's&coffees BUT after that,the rest of the staff were pretty much doing nothing,the tables were littered with dirty dishes,the lady who was doing all the work was constantly going into the kitchen to get clean cups.There was 1 man in particular who just stood by the kitchen counter doing not very much.The lady gets a giant 👍and 5⭐,but the rest of the service was lacking leadership.That said our breakfast was very nice.Thanks hard working kitchen staff

5 people in Queue before me, took 22 mins to get served to order food. One worker dealing with taking orders, preparing hot/cold drinks, taking payment AND having to leave frequently to go to kitchen for clean crockery! Once seated another 38 minutes for food (2 people). All around me other customers were slowly loosing the will to eat/to live. Young couple at next table who were in before my party were offered TWO wrong orders!! Will Certainly NOT be back!

I have been coming to Tesco Cafe at Silverburn quite frequently and I am usually very pleased with my purchase. Today, however I felt let down as the portion size was very small for the amount I paid. I bought the Moroccan chicken and rice dish, the meal was lovely but I came away still feeling hungry! Quite Disappointed I would have been better walking round the corner and getting a McDs.

Greasy fried bread, horrible breakfast

Best thing about this Cafe are its STAFF - exceptional mix of efficiency & pleasantness. The MENU has a wide variety of High Quality yet Inexpensive food & drink. The Seating is comfortable & well spaced for wheelchairs, buggies or trolleys to pass through - and all in a relaxed atmosphere. Can't praise it enough.

Menu options are poor and give very little detail on your order Wouldn't recommend here even for a cup of tea So disappointing

For the last 2 weeks breakfast order has been cold by the time it took to serve coffee was stone cold poor girl Joanne on her own with no other staff to serve food or clear away Joanne was taking orders making hot drinks and serving food and clearing tables this week the manageress was in the cafe but too busy filling drinks cabinet saw one customer go get his own food that had been sitting waiting to be served think he got fed up waiting ridiculous

Sauce was nasty . The southern fried chicken in the wrap was hard enough to break your teeth. There was milk left spilled on the floor. No selection (except toast) for people who can’t eat white bread.

Portions were shockingly small, mac n cheese was tasty but it was in a gratin dish and there was only one layer of macaroni, around 15 pieces, 1 tiny piece of garlic bread. The baked potatoes with tuns mayo and spring onion was a very small potato, around a table spoon of filling with so little mayo you couldn't see it. Bone dry. I would've said something but couldn't find any staff. The staff who served us were very nice. Not their fault how tiny the portions are. Won't be returning sadly.

My OH and 2 kids went for lunch here the other week. We joined a small queue to order food. The queue grew arms and legs. There were no signs to say whether you HAD to queue or whether you could find your seat first. And you can imagine the queue was mainly elderly folk with trolleys.... The food itself is fine. Fills a gap. Thats it, but they're always "out of.. " something. This occasion they were out of butter, and links sausage. Instead of being advised of the lack of links at the time of ordering or whilst I waited, my kids plate just arrived with 2 lorne sausages instead. The food itself is fine..it fills a gap. This place is fine for a quick-ish bite to eat but don't go out your way to eat here. It is not worth it.

Been a couple of times the staff are very nice but the cooked food is just average.

Had an excellent post lockdown meal here. Was very impressed with the use of technology to book a queue space and order to my table. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The tables were well spaced and actually made it a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. Food was just as good as always. Great to be back ! Thanks Nando’s Silverburn!

Not sure why a number of Tesco Reviews are appearing under Nando's but hopefully this one is in the correct place. Arriving at the almost empty till point, we hung around for some time wondering if we had stumbled on the restaurant equivalent of the Marie Celeste. A notice informed us we had to order at the till point - but no one was there. Hanging around in desolate isolation reminiscent of the previous 4 months 'Covid lockdown' for what I felt was like 5 minutes we wondered if we should walk up to the distant Kitchen hatch or simply leave. Before this decision could be taken, a member of staff appeared from the bowels of the restaurant and proceeded to take our order. Clearly, once we 'were in the system', the wheels turned pretty rapidly as our food was delivered pretty quickly. Breakfast was excellent and apart from a mildly warm portion of beans, was otherwise piping hot. Individual items, fried egg, 2 Hash Browns, Lorn Sausage, tomato, bacon and potato scone were high quality and cooked well making it a real value for money purchase (especially as the Covid friendly Tax Man helped me pay for it) Certainly a better than average Tesco Cafe experience.

Staff are all pretty helpful and friendly, there isn't anything bad I can say there. It's the food. I've been in around 5 times and there's always something wrong. The first few times I came in I was served the wrong dish. This time I got the right dish, vegan breakfast, but the mushroom was raw, the sausage was overcooked and for some reason there was a handful of raw spinach that, if it had been cooked, I'd be pretty pleased to receive. Ah also, I think they might be made to use tesco products in their coffee and cooking but if you are serving coffee it's better to use a more expensive brand of soymilk. My latte was kinda... Watery? Better soy milk makes creamier coffee.

Was working at silverburn out door's weather changed , was heavy snow / rain so decided to go in door for some food and heat. Decided on Nandos / via Tesco store we decided on 2 large breakfast with one pot of tea and small botle irn bru. over all cost £17.30 Really tea should have been included but again silverburn cafes charging £1.90 small bottle of juice Breakfast came and looked really nice quality of food was not to bad only issue with me was hash browns deep fried felt greasy plenty of food for £6.50 per breakfast example 3 x hash brown , 2 x sauage , 2 x eggs , 2 x tattie scones , tomatoe & Beans , Bacon a bit sad looking Overall if drinks would be included would have been value for money. Seating area very clean and staff very polite

Had to request my table to be wiped had order breakfast bloomer with bacon and tomato which I had to return cos bread was sodden in grease staff happy to change to a roll which came quite quick but without tomato and feel I can’t say or I would just seem like one if they nuisance customers

Like another reviewer I have also just received a parking fine. I took my mother to visit my daughter and this is the first time we’ve ever been here. My mother is disabled and we have a blue badge. There were no disabled bays available so we parked as close as we could. The store is huge and takes a very long time to get around, we come from a village so a big shop is very exciting! Apparently i should have asked at the front desk for a time extension, why, I had no idea there were time limits? Where is the signage to say that it’s 2 hours? Why provide extras such as cafes, opticians etc if your time barred, sadly just to make even more cash I suspect😡

Just been to tesco cafe in silverburn was very impressed had eggs benidics eggs were perfect ham also tasted really good great service from the staff will be definitely visiting again 😆

I spend thousands in Tescos every year! Hundreds every month. Never had an issue arriving or leaving. Shock, this popped through the door. I stayed in the Car park too long! 2 hrs and 46mins to be exact. Fined for doing so!! How, just how can I do a months very large shop, keep appointment at the opticians and shop wisely in LESS than 2 hours. Remember, checkout wait, packing, getting to your car in a very large car park, packing shopping in your car, returning your trolley etc, etc. All this in under 2 hours!!! KEEP YOUR GROCERIES, OPTICIANS ....AND YOUR CAR PARK! I'M SHOPPING ELSEWHERE FROM NOW ON! Plenty of competition against you who will appreciate my hard earned cash!

Always pop in here if I go to the early morning Next sales always have a breakfast..clean..quiet atmosphere..

Lots of parking, plenty of tills. Good security and store detectives. Plenty of space between the aisles etc. Very clean and neat.

We enjoyed the special 3 items for 3 GBP for lunch twice during our 2 weeks in Scotland. It included a sandwich or salad, snack and beverage. Quite a good deal especially when you are on the go.

Stopped in here for some lunch on our way home. It's a big store with a smallish cafe. It was quite busy for a Sunday and the lunch was ok.

Basic food and really only for snacks or coffees and cake not really where I would say for meals unless your looking for a quick snack

We arranged to meet a relative here, using this as a stop off point, on a journey we had planned heading west. The store itself is large, and the cafe is a considerable size with tables and chairs fairly well spaced out. We ordered bacon...

Cleanliness on tables poor with food a bit sporadic, inconsistent and not always hot. Standards slipped over last 6 months. Staff generally good but some younger ones especially not helpful. Pet hate- Why cant you consistently get chips until after 11.30? Some say yes others...
