Cafeen ligger i The Lighthouse.

Visited for a coffee at the weekend with my young son who was in the early stages of a cold and a bit poorly. He changed his mind about wanting marshmallows in his hot chocolate and cried and the waitress brought him a fresh one, which he really appreciated. Great service!

Went here for coffee and a cake and was disappointed by the very few cakes they had which were wrapped in clingfilm and a bit sad looking. It's really nice and modern inside and the girl who served us was friendly. The menu is pretty basic as looked the food when it was brought past us. If a local, maybe organic type of restaurant took it over and created an imaginative menu and put some life and soul into the place, I'm sure it would bring in loads more people as it's a great venue.

The Doocot is a pleasant little snack bar located in the Lighthouse on Mitchell Lane, Glasgow. It’s light and airy and serves a good selection of snacks, sandwiches and cakes etc in pleasant, relaxed surroundings.

Took an international visitor and the cafe embarrassed me. No one came to the counter, cakes wrapped in clingfilm, disinterested service, and then hammering started in the kitchen and we were glad to get away.

A tawdry room in need of a revamp, completely lacking in feeling, with basic food at high prices. Lots of cafes nearby, go there instead.

A small cafe within the Lighthouse. Feels a little like a canteen. Visited for coffee and a scone. I know its not had great reviews but for a coffee stop, its just fine. Lacks atmosphere but otherwise was perfectly happy.

As with others, the food was poor at best. A small, bought in, hot cross bun,(£2.25!) had to be sent back. Atmosphere non existent, inefficient staff, poor unimaginative, main courses, all lead to us to decide not to return. This used to be one of my favourite eating places in my home town, but never again. Great venue, huge missed opportunity.

The staff are friendly but the food is poor. This is no surprise as catering is provided by a company called Encore, which is part of Cordia - a huge facilities management company. I ordered a toasted tuna sandwich with arrived untoasted and missing one of the ingredients. This place is fine for a coffee stop but food is mediocre at best.

I had the 5 bean salad. Big mistake - more like 10 ton of potatoes + lots of red onion. Maybe a different choice would have created a better impression but all I can say is, don't expect too much and check the ingredients before you order. This was a disappointment, considering the building in which it is located. The Lighthouse is worthy of something better.

The Doocot is within the Lighthouse (one of the many museums in Glasgow) and is best described as a cafe as opposed to a restaurant. The menu is basic, but the food offerings, while limited in choice, should appeal to many. The service on my visit was good. My choice (soup and a sandwich) was delivered quickly, so absolutely no complaints about either the food or the service.

Nice museum cafe with a nice selection of food suitable for lunch time visits. We had carrot and coriander soup which tasted homemade and a fresh chicken sandwich that was perfect for a lunchtime stop. The coffee was decent and service was friendly and helpful. Although we didn't have any there were some home bakes which looked amazing. Maybe next time..

I went into Gregg's whilst waiting on our bus.....the place is disgusting, pigeons flying around the place eating off the tables and the floor...how is this allowed,I found it disgusting I couldn't even eat my food Tables not even being wiped down after people finished eating so the pigeons on them straight away for any scraps..IL definitely never be back in it unless they give the place a good sanitiser and get rid of the pigeons eating there to .....

Due to am emergency I was unable to be with my Mum on her 80th birthday. I thought sending a cake for her small party would mean I was taking part in some way. I didn't notice until after I had ordered that the cake needs to defrost for 6 hours. I immediately emailed and ask to switch to a next day delivery. I was relieved when this was confirmed. However the day before and no cake. My Mum will now have a cake that will arrive on the day of her party so cannot be eaten.
