Oscar & Holly's Coffee House in Glasgow City

Well over priced ,soup 3 spoonfuls gown, for nearly £6 , sadly a bit pricey for me but it is what it is, nice staff

We came here on the recommendation of friends we were meeting. The staff were friendly enough, but the menu is so limited. I think the owners need to decide if they are a traditional breakfast type cafe, in which case they need to do a full breakfast menu and do it well, or a lunch oriented sandwich type place. If that's the case, then please add more to the menu. Either way, the cafés prices are too high for the fare just now, there was nothing cheap and quick about this lunch. There's a lot of competition nearby and to be honest, I was looking across the street and feeling a little diner envy.

Tables were sticky and the whole place smelt of wet dog. This could have been caused by the wet dogs that were allowed to wander around on the seats! The manager and his assistant served the dog people but did not ask for the dogs to go on the floor. This makes me wonder about the general hygiene standards. The coffee was watery and flavourless.

I work down the road from this place so I've tried quite a few times but the coffee is actually so bad it's not worth it, I watched the batista split q single shot between my Americana and a latte then add water into both last time I visited. This time I ordered an iced black coffee which they charged me a higher price than advertised and when it came was literally brown water with no flavour. Its just not worth the money tbh.

Great bacon & egg roll with brown sauce! Spacious cafe with friendly staff... this place has done well despite strong competitions along the same street (crow rd); honestly, give it a try!

We went in for some lunch & each ordered a panini. At £7+, I would expect a particularly good panini, but this was thin & small & the filling was sparse. There was also a tablespoon of coleslaw & some iceberg lettuce, all served on a teaplate!The place was freezing & the waitress kept leaving the door wide open even after we said we were cold. Our table was dirty & there was no attempt to clean it. Cutlery was in a glass but we weren't given napkins. All in we paid £30 for 3 small paninis, 1 tea, 1 coffee & 1 coke. Very poor value for money & could not recommend.

Pleasant service. Not too crowded. Good ventilation. Nice pot of tea with leaf tea. Delicious roll and links sausage. Good quality sausage. Delighted to be back.

When visiting family nearby we try to fit in a visit to Oscar & Holly’s. we just had time for coffee today but as usual we enjoyed it. Just after opening time so fairly quiet but starting to get busier as we left

Decided to pop in for a coffee having missed the bus. We live not far away and have passed in a hundred times but never gone in...it used to look quite nice but now it seems a bit shabby and tired. We didn't have food but the coffee took a while to come and was not the best, lacking any flavour although it was piping hot .. there are other places in the vicinity that look smarter and better presented. I don't think we would stop here again. Disappointing as we had been told by a relative that it was so good.

Went in for a spot of lunch to take away. Orderd mozzarella tomato and pesto panini. The person working told us theres no que and it will be ready fresh and quick. We opened it as we got in the car to go home and were left very dissapointed. Wont be wasting money here again.

Don’t normally write reviews especially negative ones but was at this cafe for lunch recently. Really disappointed with quality of food and especially the tea (loose) described as “quality” but tasted as if it had either been remashed to death or it was of really poor quality tea leaves - how can you manage to serve a bad cuppa😐Definitely wouldn’t return - it wasn’t cheap either £20 for basic lunch /(2 sandwiches , tea and coffee).

It’s a shame the previous reviews aren’t very good as it’s not been my experience. I stay locally and often pop in with my boyfriend. The staff are really friendly and on the several times I’ve eaten the food has been well cooked and tasty. Bacon rolls are great. My boyfriend rates the waffles. Coffee is excellent.

Unfortunately this place seems to have gone downhill a bit of late. The menu is limited/average. The service is rather slow and it's getting a little tired. Would chose other eateries in the locality rather than coming here. The baking and coffee are OK.

So my wife, daughter and I came here for a quick lunch. It's a Sunday afternoon about 2pm. It's not busy. There are 2 occupied tables. We were ignored by the staff member behind the counter and found a table. One of the only tables that had been cleared of plates. Every table was piled high, yet it was obvious there hadn't just been a mass-exodus. The table we sat at was clear of plates, but obviously hadn't been wiped - thankfully we had baby wipes with us so we wiped it ourselves. Service was poor. There was a delay for drinks - which were served along with filthy glasses (thankfully the waitress hadn't poured the drinks for us). We all opted for soup - again another delay... which was obviously because there was a queue for the microwave, as each soup arrived at a different temperature. There was no toilet paper in the toilets - which obviously hadn't been checked or cleaned in some time, and the main dining area was filthy. Plates were cleared from the remaining tables whilst we were in, but there was no hurry about it. This used to be a really well run west-end café - not sure if there's been a change in staff or management in the last few months, but I will not be hurrying back anytime soon!

I have visited here a few times with friends now. We all have small babies and what keeps us going back is the helpful staff who are happy to make space for our prams etc. There's also step free access at the side which is helpful. The cakes are excellent although the service could sometimes be quicker.

I normally visit here with my 2 year old granddaughter. There is space enough to bring a buggy in. My little one enjoys her Babyccino with marshmallows and brown cake (chocolate!). I enjoy my cappuccino. Friendly and efficient staff.
