Pleasant place for a quick lunch.

Good salad and sandwich options. The portions size could be quite filling though, better keep it to medium bowl for salad.

Superb. This is our new favourite pub for a glorious lunch. Just been there for Sunday lunch and it was really, really good. Wonderful ambience, excellent service from a staff group that looked and felt like they were enjoying it and the food ..... oh, the food! What a find.

What an earth has happened to this restaurant. 45 mins for first drink then half a bowl of soup, 2 little slices garlic bread £3.95. Main meal 1 was missed other one went back because of allergy which waiter was told of kitchen then scraped sauce off which was useless when it came back other meal was stone cold. In total over 2 hours for a restaurant half empty manager was told said he was "new" which he told us 6 weeks ago when our meal was an even worse disaster. Thought we would give them a chance whoever chef is needs replaced such a shame was a great place at one time heard loads of complaints from other people definitely wont be back

Great food great prices and staff are excellent

Very nice place to eat and the food was of excellent quality but it is expensive for what it is offered. Only really for special occasions.

You guys deserve more than 5 stars after our experience there the charming lady on the till was polite cheerful and bubbly even though some of the menu was not available. The food we did receive was simply outstanding the food was hot, looked delicious and we would not hesitate to recommend going for a meal there while shopping or simply in the area as we were.

The oldest pub in Edinburgh, so beautiful and great for a meal after a hike to Arthur’s seat. Tasty food and great service, especially Skye who took our photo in the high chairs the Queen sat in!

We've been going here for breakfast/lunch for about 3 years now. There's never been a time we've been disappointed about our food or the service. Staff are very friendly and make sure you get what you want. Everything is fresh and they make the food in front of you so you have that peace of mind.

Possibly my favourite bar in Edinburgh. Cracking atmosphere and incredible selection of drinks. Spent a few hours there last week before a gig, it was all very civil until the 11% porter came out then chaos reigned! Staff are attentive and it’s just a lovely place to while away a few hours.

I am Absolutely appalled at the way in which I was treated by a member of staff yesterday evening , even today I am still livid. He was actually laughing at me and shaking his head at me. After meeting friends we ended up finishing our first drink and moved on as they were also disgusted .

The establishment was overcrowded, the food quality was suboptimal, and the service was slow.

Was served by a lovely girl called Iona, she was so friendly and had great recommendations, was spot on with what we’d like - will definitely be back!!

Card only !!!!!!! A joke , food is ok no brilliant, staff are lovely , place is nice but after spending 100 quid on food and drinks they then embarrassed me.after it telling me it's card only and they won't accept my cash !! Fkn mortified as didn't cone out with any cards and only had cash with me,,, won't be back !!!
