first time trying this place and it doesn't disappoint! recommend getting the chilli burger as it was 10/10 and if you think you can squeeze it in make sure you order a portion of onion rings! really good prices too!

Visited for food and soft drinks on the school holidays with 3 kids 2 meals for a tenner decent pub grub and staff were pleasant enough.

Good simple value food. We had to wait but staff apologised as order not prossed correctly. However kitchen closed at 6.30 Web site said different but they kept kitchen open. Drinks good value. Toilets let place down bit wiffiy.

I can't praise this place enough the food was lovely and vert reasonable price wise. Kids meals £3 WELL WORTH the money 10 out of 10

Good value meals and cooked well. Steak Night is great value Sat 2 sirloin Steaks and bottle house wine. Drinks good selection.

Update Fantastic food now and great mid week deals Thursday music on can't fault this pub Great wee local pub reasonably priced Stocked bar with all we wanted no complaints gor a Sunday lunch and drinks.

Food arrived well packaged and warm. The lentil soup was absolutely delicious and still warm when delivered 😀 And the steak pie, chips and veg were also tasty and was a generous portion size. Great value for money all round. Thanks for the great food 😀

Ordered 2 steak pies which were amazing and it also came in separate tubs that way if your fussy about something you don’t have to worry about it, will definitely be ordering again.

Delivery was quick, which was really good. However, we were missing two fudge cakes, and one puff pastry that should have came with our steak pies. Tried to call the restaurant but there wasn't even a number to call. The food we did receive was really nice but it's a bit annoying when you're looking forward to a nice dessert and it doesn't turn up. Plus, who wants to eat a steak pie without a puff pastry. Nice, but.

We had a lovely meal here today. A bit of a mixup with our booking so we couldn’t get the Sunday roast as planned but staff were so nice to give us 3 courses of anything from the menu for the same price as an alternative. The food was great and everything was really fresh! 😊

Dropped in for some food as my wife had visited with her mate and said I would like the food. Well she wasn’t wrong - food was lovely - steak pie was excellent with plenty meat and lovely gravy. Would certainly visit again. Great pint served by the lovely staff.

Wasn’t a fan of the garlic mushrooms. A bit too oily, plus the garlic dip had went all runny as it was in the container with them. The wrap, chips and onion rings were all lovely though. Could tell everything was freshly cooked. Really quick delivery also. Would order from here again.

food was really nice and warm but driver just dumped the food at my flats main doors on a really busy main road even though i buzzed them into the building. Just to lazy to go up the stairs to my main door.. bit disapointing

food good except why steak pie without a pastry lid .appreciated the custard container this time not being cardboard .

Chips nice baguette dry and rubbery . Fish just about edible. Sorry to say won’t be ordering from here again

Food was lovely will definitely order again.

The food was tasty, good portions… however, ordered mash with the steak pie and received chips instead. Also ordered warm sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and the ice cream had completely melted when it got here, maybe pack the ice cream in its own container next time. Apart from those 2 issues I would definitely order again because the food was good.

Great wee place Streakpie was phenomenal

Bought in heated food most pubs serve. Service was beyond slow pre ordered, booked for 230, and got served after 4pm, slightly cold and hardly any customers 2 weeks before Xmas in mid afternoon. Would not rush back.

Great banter from the girls and lads at the bar. Really lovely decor. Good selection of gin. A good scran can be had as well. Excellent value for money. Only thing was maybe the toilets could use a wee bit of love but will be back for sure!

I had Cajun Chicken pasta was lovely the missus had the Katsu Chicken which she enjoyed, portion where perfect I still left some of mines as I was stuffed. Drink prices very reasonable and also serve’s Tennent’s 👍

Was in for food, we'll not be back, the fish was greesy and tasteless!

Lots of earlier reviews might lead you to visit The Drum, after a refurbishment the food WAS great & value for money. This is no longer the case & the good has gone really downhill. We (Party of 6) visited last week & found all the portions had almost halved in size. The once excellent Steak Pie was a very noticeable case in point as the meat was very grisly & gravy bland. The Macaroni was very bland and tasteless too. No one present enjoyed their meal, which is sad as we're local & like to support local businesses but after spending £140 we will not be returning. Several of us also found the blonde Barmaid to be rude & quite lazy as she seemed to be hungover and was continually complaining to her co-worker within earshot of the patrons at the bar. Overall a false economy & poor foresight for long term profitability. Word of mouth spreads fast for good establishments as well as bad & I used to recommend The Drum to all my friends & family, now sadly the opposite is true.

Please be aware when booking for a group to have food here. After a bad experience at a family meal I would not recommend. We were asked to put in order previous to day so they could supply more staff. This clearly did not happen. Service from most staff came across as rude. Complaints put in after many plates food having to be taken back due to being wrong. I had to ask for my daughters food after 3 hours. And after 3 and a half hours we had to leave and 3 family members had still not eaten! Also if you like steak pie.give it a miss from here.

Burger wasnt great tasted like cheap oil and cheap burger no salad chips were ok but done in same taste oil couldnt eat burger but staff were so friendly and a lovely place to have a drink im not a fussy eater just couldnt eat it sorry

I think you should review the times that you have on your website for when meals are served. I have been in on 3 separate occasions and your kitchen staff have left early and we have not been able to get any food. Last time being 2 weeks ago, my partner and I went in on Saturday 24th September , I called during the day to ask what time the kitchen closed for meals and was told 7pm even though your website states 9pm at the weekends. We arrived at 6pm and collected menus straight away , the bar staff walked by and when we asked at 20 past 6 if we could order food were told the kitchen was closed and could no longer take orders for food. I was clearly very annoyed after calling during the day and we had not eaten , bar staff I have to say were very apologetic and offered to make us starters free of charge and we were given a drink each free of charge . I was informed the kitchen is ran differently from the bar and the poor bar staff need to deal with the complaints when the kitchen staff chose to leave. I think this should be looked at or at least your times updated to show you only serve food till 6pm at weekends. ( Or whenever your kitchen staff decide to work till)

Popped in today with my husband for lunch, I had been before and food was always great, but today we were very Disappointed 😞, my husband ordered a bbq stack it arrived the burger bun was cremated and missing the onion rings that were meant to be on it, I ordered the dipping burger, supposed to be beef burger with pulled pork and red onion and peppercorn to dip in , I actually received a burger with bacon and cheese (which I do not eat) no pulled pork no onion and a split peppercorn sauce covering whole thing. The manager was very apologetic and offered to change and didn't charge, I just worry if people have allergies they are just putting all sorts on burgers. Don't know if it's a new chef but wasn't the good meal we have previously had.

Went for lunch on Monday place wasn't busy 3 tables in waited ages for our order to arrive when it did it was hardly warm , complained and it was taken off the bill , didn't understand why we waited so long as I said the place wasn't busy

Our party of 5 all loved the food. Social distancing set up really well and our waitress really nice. The 1negative was the difference in the size of my portion of mac "n" cheese compared to my friends was at least half the size and it wasn't as though hers was huge it was an average portion If it happens again i will b saying as i was starving ! when we left !

1st time eating here. Did not take pic of starters. I had chicken wings that were amazing. Gf had jalapeno poppers that she loved. This is our mains. Gf had steak pie and chips The beef was super tender and delicious. The chips were superb too. I had chicken katsu curry. It too was superb. It could have had a little more sauce though. Then we had a side of onion rings. They were clearly home made and we're also superb. The staff are all super nice too. They were super helpful. No matter the querie they were great. I can't wait to go back again
