The Record Factory in Glasgow City

Love it here but previously were allowing outdoor food in when didn’t have a kitchen. I emailed a few weeks back to check this was still allowed as they now were serving food and was advised outdoor food was still allowed. Brought in outdoor food recently and was told this was no longer allowed which was fine but would’ve been helpful if a post or something was made to alert customers as staff made us feel as tho this was never allowed and were quite hostile about it. All we ask is that you update customers on changes like this so we aren’t made to feel like we are breaking rules. Very disappointing.

Pizza & chips was absolutely lovely. Expensive £9 cocktails just tasted like juice. Need music in outdoor seating area.

Tasty pizzas and really fairly priced. We booked a table outdoors to watch the football, but there’s no sound outside which was disappointing.

DJ last night was shouting and swearing at my friends for leaving an empty drink near him. No need for that behaviour.

The place is alright, but I don't like one of the staff members, reason for it is because I'm banned from the bar, and it was for nothing. I didn't do a thing, the first time I got told I was banned I asked why, didn't get a reason, and the second time, still, no reason. I'm not saying to avoid or not attend the bar, or book with the bar, but I am saying that you may end up in the same fate as me, just saying.

The food was absolutely disgusting, ordered the haggis burger and it tasted nothing like haggis,didn't even taste of anything,it's was horrible,and at £12 it was a bit pricey,staff were alright and prices for alcohol but I wouldn't go there again for food,was hugely disappointed.

Good prices, lovely layout, great atmosphere, fun events, pleasant subliminal messaging inviting me to drink Jack Daniel's (always a plus). Can't go wrong stumbling in here whatever the day or time.

Food was horrendous and overpriced...the vegan pakoras like rubber texture , chips very salty, and the salt and chilli chicken cheap frozen quality...£25 for this meal is ridiculous

Shocking service! Booked a table arrived on time at 12am and was told by staff that they had made a mistake and they had the booking in their system for 12pm. Even though I had 2 emails confirming the time for 12am by two different staff members previous. Nothing was done but offer an apology which is not good enough this was my birthday night out and was ruined due to poor service. Why have a booking system to book tables if you don't even get one! The staff were very rude and didn’t seem to care, I won't be back. Also train your staff on how to tell the time :))

Went to see a friends band was very busy but the staff were superb service was very efficient despite the number of people in bar. Will certainly be back.

'The Den' here is the best to shoot a reality TV show.

Spacious and lively pub on Byres Road, having a girls day out and found this place to stop for a drink, it was very busy and had a lively atmosphere with music playing and TV’s for the sports fans, beer garden to the back if you wanted to be outside and also a quieter room to the back for groups of friends.

A pub through and through. They also have a spacious outdoor patio.

Great bar for a midweek drink. However avoid Sat night unless you're a student who likes crap music and queuing forever to use the toilet. Staff were cool. Especially the hairy doorman with the GN'R tshirt absolute gent.

Booked outside table for bank holiday weekend for food and drink. Got there for opening and was told no food being served. Disappointing that we were not advised of this before our arrival, so ended up having to book else where, shame as it has a nice wee beer garden and was a beautiful day.

Excellent venue with reasonable opening hours. A younger crowd, but excellent music and staff.

What an amazing venue and fabulous staff! We private hired "The Den" function space which was a great hit. The team were so helpful when planning and bringing the afternoon together with a buffet and drinks. Couldn't thank them enough for helping make the day special.

When doing the sub crawl, depending where you start this was our no.8 place was excellent, there was a mixture of clientele suitable for both old and young.

Women's toilets were horrible, none of the doors locked and there was one roll of paper towel between 3 stalls. No toilet paper early in the night, hence the paper towel. Otherwise a fun night out but hope you don't have to pish

Situated at the bottom of Byres Road in a very good location and has plenty of room inside. It includes a pool area not the swimming kind. The staff where friendly and it's definitely a place you should go to.

Great place to catch up or meet up with friends. Good size of venue, yummy chips, and the bar staff were so friendly with a great sense of humour. Id definitely go back and have recommended to friends and family!

Rude, terrible service. Bouncers odd mentality. Food was average at best. Bar staff and managers clearly dont want patrons. So many better places to go.

We were there for my friend's birthday in April. It was around 20 of us, we ordered a lot of food and drinks to the table(s). 3 of our friends came around 1 hour later, and at the door they asked one of them if he had had anything to drink before (he hadn't). He is not British so he did not understand the question and asked him if he could repeat it. That's when the security guard refused him entry. My friend tried explaining that he was not from the UK and he didn't understand his accent, but from that moment forward they did not let him in. The security guard started calling him a***ole and saying he was being rude - while my friend was not saying anything, just asking him to repeat the question while in disbelief. He is such a gentle nice person and none of us could understand why he was not being let in. Some of us tried reasoning with the security man but just got told we would get thrown out as well if we didn't stop and that we didn't deserve an explanation. All in all, extremely rude, awful staff for no reason other than xenophobia. Would not recommend.

Booked a “private room” with a “private bar” and “pool table” for my mates Stag Do on Saturday night. Turns out Jerry’s Den is not a private room, it is a walk through to the toilets. There was no private bar, just the one public bar. The pool table was not out because “it’s too dangerous to have it out at the weekend”. False advertisement to the max. Unbelievable disappointed with the experience, 100% will not be back. **Updated** They replied to my Google review claiming I was making a false review and the website didn’t say what I had written on my review. See screenshot of website, clearly states “private room, private bar and pool table”. Having refreshed the website this morning, it has been cleverly updated to make my review look false, as they claim. Unfortunately I took a screenshot of the website before they tried to make me out to be a liar. Very unprofessional.

Me and my friend visited this bar and received very bad service. The women who owns this bar is very rude. Me and my friend walked in with empty bottles from our water and within two minutes of us being inside we were told to leave as apparently you are not allowed to order a soft drink in a pub. They said because we walked in with empty bottles we are being kicked out, we asked them to check the cameras to prove we have done nothing wrong and yet still they told us to leave. They were extremely rude and told us to leave. Don’t recommend.

My best friend had been back and forth with a member of staff to organise a sectioned area of this venue for her 20th Birthday. It was confirmed that there would be a curtained area solely for herself and her friends and therefore she invited many to join her to celebrate. She was required to put down a £50 deposit for this area and was reassured its sole purpose would be only for her birthday. We had all dressed up to celebrate and when we arrived there was no curtained off area and people were sitting in the area we were led to believe would be ours. When we approached several members of staff to try resolve this issue, we were told that they could not curtain the area off as it was a ‘busy Saturday night’ and a member of staff stated that it would difficult to get people off the tables. After several of her friends approaching staff to try resolve this issue, my friend was given back her £50 deposit in cash and was informed there was nothing that they could do. As a result of this, we were forced to squeeze around 4 tables, none of which were able to successfully accommodate the capacity previously arranged and discussed prior to this event. We were largely disappointed with the service and the way the situation was handled and so sadly are reluctant to return.

First impressions were decent. Nice decor, plenty screens, etc. We were with a footy bus who had pre booked and we seemed to be getting dirty looks from the bar staff. We then got moved on from our table that we were eating at despite there not being a booking on it for a couple hours yet. Before long the whole party were asked to leave. I was a bit relieved to be honest, the staff were snooty and the place is mega overpriced- £6.50 a pint!! Also, half the menu was scored out. Wouldn’t return or recommend to anyone, unless you like being looked down on. Far better places in the vicinity.

Excellent venue for dinners and drinks. We had dinner in the beer garden area with a couple of pints in the sun. Staff were friendly and were more than helpful with ordering and service. Would definitely make this a local.

Los peores gorilas de la historia. Salí a fumar (solo en mi camiseta), no me dejaron entrar. The bouncer let’s who he wants to sh*g in and stops half a party to allow them in. People that have already been let in never got let back in so his lady friends could. Absolute joke.

Este lugar tiene potencial para ser realmente bueno. Pero no puedes alejarte de todo el humo en el lugar.

Nunca supe que esto estaba aquí, está escondido. Este es un gran lugar, el personal es encantador y muy amable. Puede estar muy ocupado el sábado por la noche, más para los más jóvenes. Un sábado por la tarde hay una banda llamada Big Band de Bobby Deans, son geniales, una excelente manera de pasar un sábado por la tarde. El domingo por la tarde hay una banda llamada The Shivering Shieks de nuevo genial y puedes levantarte y bailar lejos. Hay una gran taberna al aire libre en la parte trasera del pub, es preciosa y en verano recibe el sol todo el día. La comida es excelente, tuve la hamburguesa con queso y aros de cebolla que mi hija tenía el mac y el queso, todo hecho desde cero sin comida congelada recalentada. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar si buscas algo un poco diferente

Just round the corner from Kelvinhall subway and it also has an entrance on Byres Road. If you are sitting out in the beer garden and then go into for a drink be careful as the place is very dark and you are likely be "blinded" by the darkness and lose your way.Had a great pint pf tangerine beer.

Arranged to met up with friends and found this great wee place on Byres Road! Pub grub as nice and the place was jumping mid afternoon when a live band start one worth trying if you like music.

Met some old friends here for a few beers. We did not eat but enjoyed the opportunity to chat in this large bar that is somewhat hidden and I almost missed the entrance thinking that it was a residential property.Behind that small entrance I found my friends in such large area that I thought I had entered a tardis! A good selection of beers, good atmosphere and pleasant surroundings.

Great place for drinks, good atmosphere and the staff are fantastic! Ciara was our server and she was so friendly and helpful! We had such a laugh with her and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I found out about the live music before we arrived so we went specially on Sunday afternoon to see the Shiverin’ Sheiks. The venue and the bank did not disappoint. We had a great afternoon and will definitely be back.

Tanto mi esposa como yo decidimos probar la oferta de 5 comidas especiales, la oferta está abierta desde el mediodía hasta las 5 pm. Te dan un menú con 6 platos diferentes ofrecidos. Tuve el pescado y las patatas fritas con una pequeña tina de salsa tártara. Mientras que mi esposa optó por los macarrones con queso y papas fritas.

We visited in January after a day out in the West end. Food was great and the service even better. We will definitely be back

Popped in to see some live local bands last night , didn’t eat there but great venue , atmosphere and music . Local band dross were rocking ,played a great set well worth a listen

I've left a review of this place before which was actually quite complimentary. Was here at the weekend and unfortunately it seems to have gone a bit down hill. Didn't have a great selection of drinks (empty fridges) and was a wee bit expensive for what it is. Staff all seem a bit miserable and I'm including the door staff and toilet guy as well as the bar staff. Toilets arent up to scratch for a busy weekend night, well I say busy. Was a lot more busier the last time we were in. Can't see me going back anytime soon unless there's someone I really, really want to see playing.

At the Record Factory to see some young local bands. Excellent burger and reasonable selection of beers. Lively on a Friday night and enjoyed the live music!

No compres un cóctel en aquí, 7 libras. 50 por un mojito que sabían como ron y limonada con un poco de tristeza de menta. £7. 50 para un Bloody Mary que era vodka con jugo de tomate, básico no kick desde tobasco o un palo de apio. Timo absoluta, por no mencionar el tiempo que tomó el hombre del bar para que ellos. Todo esto a lo largo de parte dieron una copa de vino blanco en un vaso de plástico en 7. 30:00h de un viernes.

Así que el esfuerzo de llegar a este lugar me dijeron su menú sitio web no coincide con la realidad tranquilo de su operación. Así, steakis ya no está disponible todos los días hasta las 9 de la noche y estoy decepcionado terriably para darle a este lugar un arranque de clasificación de cero de 10.
