The carvery is to die for. Great value for money. Dogs are allowed in the bar. There is ample parking in site. The food is fresh and piping hot. Best part: you can go up and get more veggies as many times as you want

As a vegetarian I was very disappointed with selection offered. The price for the macaroni cheese (over £10) I feel is really is taking the proverbial, though I did not have this as I could probably make better myself. I had the veg from the carvery which was good but again if I was vegan there was not a lot of choice. If the chef went to a supermarket and bought in a few of the alternatives from the freezer section they could then make some rice/pasta to go with it and offer a decent meal....probably at a very high price....but it's not difficult and certainly shouldn't be for any decent chef to offer some good alternatives for us vegetarians/vegans. Food is good and the staff are very nice but like most places imagination is lacking by the chefs for non meat eaters.

We came for Sunday lunch-half of us had the carvery and the other half had from the main menu. Food was very good-at the carvery you could choose from small, medium or large plates. Ample and plenty of sides-vegetables, roasties, vegetables etc. Lovely desserts too-best sticky toffee pudding I've ever tasted! We were not rushed at all, very unusual these days-very leisurely meal. Open all day. Excellent value. Staff very pleasant and the place was mobbed, which is always a very good sign. Could hardly get a space in the huge car park. Would definitely recommend.

Came with my girlfriend who is local, very enjoyable and large portion of steak pie, feel guilty that i couldn’t finish it but just have a small stomach. All staff were friendly and helpful, and the bill was extremely reasonable. Would highly recommend

First time my family and I have been here for a carvery and it did not disappoint. The welcome from the staff was lovely and the quality of the food was very good. Very comfy restaurant area. We had the large plate and the meat choice was excellent . Lots of vegetables , Yorkshire puddings etc. Well done everyone and we will definitely be back 😁

I normally enjoy the country park, went for lunch yesterday, food was good but the portions were about half the size and more expensive, was disappointing

Myself and my dad went for a treat on Friday 2nd March. I had Liver and onions with potatoes, carrots and peas. The liver tasted like it had vinegar in it. I believe it was going off. And the potatoes were cheap and nasty the same as the veg. My dad's mince, tatties and veg weren't impressing him either that he did his best and ate half of it and left the rest. The rosè was the cheapest of brands. I've had liver and onions in Morrisons for half the price and wouldn't fault it. Serving that food is a disgrace. A table to the left of us were talking about their food. I heard the woman say "you look like your not enjoying it". That was my first visit and the last. A waste of our money.

Have not been for a while but was very impressed with their Covid precautions. Food was well served, hot and tasty. Staff great too.

Found ourselves in Mintlaw and looked on the Eat Out to Help Out gov website for a dining option. The Country Park Inn car park was chocca, obviously a popular eatery. Hand sanitizers and clear one way markings through the building. Very efficient staff serving drinks and taking orders promptly. We had no sooner ordered than our main courses appeared on our table. It took one minute. Perhaps precooked food is already waiting in the kitchen. They have great deals on starters 2 for £5, mains 2 for £10 and puddings 2 for £5. At these prices it was as expected. Did the job. Cheap lunch. Popular for seniors and young families too. And with the government incentive our cheap lunch was mega cheap.

We were staying with a friend at New Deer and wished to take her out for a meal on a Sunday and had heard and read very good reports about the Sunday Carvery at The Country Park Inn. So booked a table well in advance and so glad that we did.Received a very warm welcome from the Manageress who definitely enjoys her job in Hospitality as she was excellent.We could not fault the Carvery at all, excellent selection and piping hot with plenty of vegetables, potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all of the accompanying sauces & gravy.Well worth the money and (2 x slices) was definitely enough for all of us, absolutely lovely and will definitely be returning when back up to stay.

Visited for a pub lunch. An extensive menu at very reasonable prices. The food was well presented and good value for money. However the abiding memory would be the lovely staff. Truly, service with a smile and so very nice to have such service! Will definitely visit again.

When I rang to reserve a table the lady on the phone was very nice, they had a table for slightly earlier than I wanted but that wasn't a problem. We arrived to be seated a table by the fireplace, the whole place is clean and spacious comfortable chairs aswell which was great! All the staff were very nice and helpful, we ordered drinks and our meals and were served very quickly the food was lovely, hot and good portions, they have 2 for £10 or 2 for £12.50 options on the menu or the days specials to choose from on the board as you go in. It was fairly busy but not too noisy which was good, we ate our meals and desserts asked the waitress for our bill she came straight back with it, very good service all round lovely place great food we will definitely eat here again.

Although we only frequented this establishment once the food was very good quality affordable pub grub and friendly staff.

I went out with a group of friends (there were 8 of us) to the restaurant. I ordered the small fish and chips. Well, it wasn't small, it was tiny! I didn't create a scene at the time, but later sent a message to the restaurant (online) to complain. I never got a reply. Clearly they don't care about unhappy customers, so I won't eat there again nor will I recommend them.Will they care? Probably not (seeing as they are not bothered about unhappy customers).

Visited twice in one day. Family friendly. Good value for money, good food and friendly staff. Had the Sunday carvery on our second visit. Great selection of accompaniments to go with the meats. Would recommend.

We were on holiday at Aden Country Park went here a few times for meals found it very good prices and food was good service was quick .

Great little place to stop if you fancy some good honest pub grub done well...They do a great Sunday carvery with a choice of beef,gammon and turkey with a fab choice of veggies the sticky toffee pud is fab too great value for money!!! Lovely staff too

Once again we have ventured out from Peterhead to the Country Park Inn restaurant to enjoy a nice and relaxed dinner in what is without any doubt one of the best restaurants in Aberdeenshire.

6 of us came here for a meal on Sunday evening. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal from the tasty soup through to the main meals. Everyone left happy with a full belly. Service was attentive but not intrusive just right. Thanks for an enjoyable evening

Cavery is the best day to go, lovely meal. You feel rushed when you phone to book and are asked if you would be out for a certain time. Not people people, no conversation, straight faces. Good meal

We went for the carvery, this was once the best in north east scotland, oh it has changed, the ham was nice, but the beef was tough, the sides, which used to be delicious were very disappointing, no more pigs in blankets, just pigs, the yorkshire puddings were a bit underdone, tasty enough though, the mashed potatoes were tastless and watery and the roasted were a bit hard and the cauliflower cheese was tasteless and orange, we also had a portion of chicken, it was very small and looked like it had been boiled, not the worst meal I have ever had by any means, but we wont be in a hurry to go back

We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions, and the food and level of service has been very good. The menu caters for all tastes, with excellent sized portions.

We nipped in here on the off chance they had a table, the place was really busy for the Sunday Carvery, luckily they set up some tables through in the function suite. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious & we got a bargain 2 meals for £12.50, definitely be back, however we’ll book a table next time!

We popped in here as we were staying at the caravan park along the road. We had heard good things. I had the best beef olives I've tasted in a long time swimming in a great thick gravy and mealie pudding filling. My wife had a cold cut salad which was a good portion too. Great helpful staff and nice setting and atmosphere. We will return before the end of our break.

Visited here yesterday with my parents, sister & daughter. We had pre booked our table & on arrival was pleased we had as the restaurant was almost full which was a good sign. The staff were friendly & the food was delicious. I had a starter of garlic mushrooms which were just OK - a little bit greasy & one had a missing mushroom but nice all the same. My beef olives collapsed when I put my knife through them as they were so tender & delicious. The rest of the party had sausage & mash, fish & chips, chicken in a bun & chicken tenders which were again delicious. Only 2 of us could manage a pudding which was plain ice cream & toffee cheesecake which again were delicious. This was followed also with 2 lattes. All of this along with 6 soft drinks in total came to under £50. How can you go wrong? Highly recommended for good pub grub. Only wish they had lasagne on the menu. We will return even if it is a 30 mile journey for us.

The Mintlaw garden centre was full up so we reluctantly took my 2 grandchildren to the Country Park Inn, despite having been there a month previously and had a bad experience.

Eaten here numerous times. Cheap deals on offer, varied menu for all ages & tastes. Provides very good Sunday Carvery, quality roasts, but like many carveries food not hot enough for my liking. Very busy especially at weekends so recommend booking. Very friendly staff & meals served very quickly, to their credit they always try their best to fit you in if they can even on busy weekends.

Lovely pub grub. Great for casual meals and group meals. Very affordable and something for everyone. Highly reccomend

Eat here sometimes. Had a meal out the other day - been a while since we’ve been. Has improved considerably with food/ service being faster. Friendly staff, good food, would recommend to others. Left a tip. The only thing I would say is if someone isn’t happy, rather than tell all the others tables roundabout - just kindly ask her to leave.

The Country Park Inn offers great meals at great prices. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient and you can easily eat in an hour at lunchtime.

Since its most recent take-over the CPI has thrived. It is the ideal place to go locally with a large party as they have a large menu with lots of choice (pleasing everyone) at a low cost.

Have used this restaurant on many occasions.The restaurant menu shows basic every day meals and snacks and we have never been let down either in choice or quality.Staff are very welcoming and prompt in showing you to your table as well as service.On our recent visit the restaurant was very cold and as I suffer from COPD it was a discomfort for me until I had hot food.All the best to owners and staff in the future.

Periodically the family meet for dinner at a location within travelling distance for us all. This time it was the Country Park Inn in Mintlaw . We were settled in by the tentative staff and had our order for drinks and food quickly taken ....

Took the family when they were visiting, there were 7 of us and despite there being empty tables in the restaurant they seated us in the bar on pushed together tables. It's clean, pleasantly decorated and the staff are friendly and efficient but it very much food from Iceland type of stuff especially the sp[ring rolls, heavy on the battered and fried. The food was hot and not overly expensive. If your looking for a cheap tea out and not a specail occasion then it's ok.

Didnt book but went in on way home for supper. We got seated with no problem. Was quite busy when we arrived. Had chicken Maryland which was quite tasty and my friend had a pizza which she enjoyed. Staff pleasant and place nice and clean.

Tried to eat here yesterday and told an hour wait,which I believed as restaurant very busy. Spotted a couple I knew and asked if the table for 2 could be made to accommodate 6 with a little consulting and rearranging tables we were all seated. Menu varied and all found something to eat. Very well priced,service excellent. We. went back there today for Sunday carvery ,in a different bit of hotel,lovely layout,again excellent service, decent carvery too.

I recently attended a family wedding at The Country Park Inn, first impressions was that it needed a bit of a refurb. When we went into the back room where our meal was served I totally changed my views, the room was lovely and nice decor. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The food we had was lovely, really couldn't complain at all. Plenty of car parking spaces and it's just across from Aden Park

Terrible. Food dry but batter oily and hard indicating cooked twice Would not return one had fish and chips another chicken Maryland and two battered chicken fillets. No one enjoyed

The food was grim. I had fish and chips. The fish had no flavour, was greasy, full of bones and unappetising. The chips were okay but not seasoned. The vegetable was truly awful. You could eat it without teeth and the flavour was bleak. I couldn't eat more than 3 peas they were that bad! The plate was too small and food slopped over the side.The food came quick, but suspiciously quick!Service without a smile. When I asked whether we could have the table by the window she informed us that she didn't think so because there wasnt a pepper pot. I rectified that by moving a pepper pot.It says at the top of this page suitable for vegetarians. Well there are 2 or 3 options and two of them involve cheese! No choice for vegetarians.Just avoid this place. Get a pot noodle and eat it without water, the taste and texture would be better!

The Country Park Inn Restaurant is in a great position for customers from the Aden country park to visit and eat.This place has every possible event covered everything from kids parties, bar lunches ,afternoon teas, prosecco teas, carvery and take a ways all available. Full menus all served in a variety of different rooms depending on which dining experience you choose.A great and very popular place to eat.

It was alright. U get what u pay for. Service was great. Very friendly girls and very fast service. But the food isn't wonderful, even tho u get a good choice. Puddings are nice and great value 3.95 or 2 for £5.

We have visited several times and the food he always been good. The portion sizes are large and the prices are very reasonable. Lots of choices on the menu, nothing fancy more like home cooking.

I liked this one so much that we visited it twice in a week. The true story is that there is not much competition in this area, but the offering is authentic, friendly and satisfying. The menu is straightforward - roasts, burgers, fish, steak, pizza, soup and sandwiches and a range of popular desserts (sticky toffee pudding is a great choice). This was a popular haunt with locals catching up for lunch, business or gossip.

Visited the Country Park with family for a late lunch. The cauliflower soup was brought out 3 minutes after ordering, very speedy service. The soup was thick and delicious, accompanied with a bread roll. As soon as I finished my starter the main course (Chicken Fillets) was served. The chips were crisp and plentiful. The chicken was also well cooked. The two main courses for £10 is a great deal which we have utilised on many occasions. Great service from the staff. We will be back.

Basic pre prepared and heated up fried food. Good value if that's what you are after. Portion sizes were a bit on the shy side and everything we had was frozen/fried. Chips, chicken, onion rings. I don't think anything was actually made in the kitchen. On the plus side, the staff were very pleasant and efficient and the bill was very easy to pay. However, I would rather pay a few quid more for better quality food and a bit more thought in the presentation.

Stopped here with family for a bite to eat. The staff are friendly and quick. The food delicious and plentiful. Definitely recommend this nice eatery.

Large menu of pre- prepared family favourites that are reheated/ boiled/ fried then served by enthusiastic waiting staff.Example - The steak and gravy pie does not come as a "pie" but a plate of steak and gravy with two small puff pastry squares placed on top of some of it. Edible - yes! Worth a second visit - no!

Visited with 14 others in our group. We had pre booked our lunch for after our walk right round the edge of Aden Country Park. Excellent choice of all courses, and great service from friendly staff. Huge portions, and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for! We weren't rushed at all, despite other drop in customers having to queue for a table. Great value for money and well worth a return visit.

We visited here on Saturday 27th August. True saying "you get what you pay for"! Two main meals for £10 or £12.50. That is the only plus side. We ordered bottle of white wine and it was served warm! It was returned. Being told when given the bill "sorry it's been busy and fridge can only hold 6 bottles of wine!!" Eh invest in another fridge or have another fridge behind the scenes with back up supply! After returning wine we weren't offered more drinks had to ask waitress to come back. It was obvious that the end of shift was around 9pm... Asked if they could bring the bill!! We took the hint they wanted us to leave! To top it off 4 girls stood discussing their tips "one guy left £10, another £10 and that een left £20"! Extremely unprofessional!!!

Service excellent and super-fast food delivery times. Food is value for money and you would never leave hungry. Was disappointed when trying the carvery as the employees did not show the same professionalism as those in the front restaurant ( using phones etc).

We went as spur of the moment bite to eat at 3.30pm. The service was very quick and we order the broth soup and the platter to share. The main meals consisted of beef lasagne, battered fish, chicken fillets & beef pie and every cleared there plates. The puddings were rockie road which was delicious and the creme brûlée which according to the individual was lush.Overall quick service and good everyday pub grub.

Pulled in on way to the Owl and and Pussycat centre. Main dining room fully booked out, so we were offered a table in the bar....nae bother.I picked the Chicken Maryland and mate the Scampi..Chips were lukewarm for me...mates side salad was sparse as hell...But all in all...damn good value for £5 each...considering a cheap breakfast in Aberdeen in €6.99....Wld I go back....damn right!!!!

I visited with my husband & aunt having been previously & had a really nice meal.This time however, was not up to their previous standard.My husband had battered fish & chips & while the fish was quite large the batter was so overcooked that it broke off into splinters when he put his knife on it. My aunt & I both had Chicken Fillets & chips but the chicken was so hard that I could hardly get my knife to cut it. The chips were okay but not as hot as they could have been. However, it was also served with one tiny lettuce leaf, one thin slice of cucumber, one thin slice ot tomato & oddly a uarter of a very thin slice of orange. The service consisted of asking if we were ready to order, bringing the food then the bill. The overall impression was that they were expecting a lot of customers & that they had cooked everything beforehand & had it under heat/lights. Disappointing is too small a word for it. There will be NO repeat visit.

My wife and i visited the restaurant for a nice meal and when we arrived we were told yes we can have a table but needed us out aftet 1hour as table was booked .There was 9 people only plus us we were put on a table in the corner with zero space .The service was slow and the food was a joke ..The roast beef tasted like a microwave meal and the veg was hard and disgusting .The staff we had was more interested in talking amongst each other than do there job .very poor service and staff need to treat customers with more respect and not be so rude ..STAY AWAY IS MY ADVICE

Had a great lunch here, service was really quick & the food was delicious.I had beef steak pie with all the trimmings & a Diet Coke & my husband had chicken fillets & chips & coke & it only cost £12.Will definitely be back again.

We were impressed by the standard of service and the quality/quantity of the food! Plain cooking done well and generous portions. Service was quick, friendly and efficient, even though the restaurant was packed full. Clearly very popular, and with good reason. We would recommend without hesitation.

Had a fabulous Sunday carvery at this restaurant. We were seated quickly, and our drinks arrived promptly.We were one of the first to arrive at 12 noon on Sunday. The carvery itself was scrumptious. Three hot meats to choose from. Plenty of choice from the vegetable selection too. Very reasonably priced meal. We were advised we had to vacate our seats by 1.30pm, but that gave us plenty time to eat at leisure.The restaurant filled up very quickly, so I would recommend booking beforehand.

Staying at the nearby caravan park when cooking in the van needed a break we had a good meal here. Good service and enjoyable food at a good price. Well fed and didn't break the bank.

Oh dear what a disappointment! Is it too much to ask for fresh vegetables and freshly cut potatoes for chips? Two of us had a meal .... Lemon sole in batter .... Two very small presumably fresh as we asked .... need a good batter recipe as the current one is dismal. Chicken and ham pie , chicken and ham in a creamy sauce enclosed in puff pasty..... chicken and ham diced in a sauce slop on the plate with two small squares of pastry placed on top .... does not amount to a pie! Tinned or frozen carrots peas were OK and the chips were frozen bog standard basement price! Apple crumble .... microwaved soggy topping! Sorry not satisfied. When we arrived we were shown to our table , the location of table not to our liking . Instead of the waitress asking if we would like to wait to be seated in a better location we were asked you could sit in the bar. One of us was ok with this the other not. Think some customer service training wouldn't go a miss. Invest in fresh vegetables local potatoes , carrots cabbage etc are in abundance in this area . Watch your ratings soar!!!! Sort it out Country Park Inn you know it's worth it

2 off my family and myself stopped here for a meal, we did not have a table booked. The restuarant was very busy but the staff were very accommodating and found us a table for three. The meal that we had for the cost paid was excellent. Would recommend the Gannon steaks. We will definitely return here in the near future.

If you want a good quality meal, generous portions and a nice atmosphere that doesn't break the bank then this is the place you should go! Have been a few times with friends and family and everyone has always been happy every time.

Had an evening meal last night,there were six of us,everyone enjoyed their meal,the service was excellent,staff very pleasant and attentive.The two people that had the sticky toffee pudding said it was the best they had ever tasted,compliments to the chef.Will definitely be back.

Decided to eat here whilst shopping nearby. Food was freshly cooked and hot! Great menu at great prices including a 2for £10 deal which we opted for. Portions was certainly not stingy. Not a fancy menu but certainly something to suit everyone. Felt a bit rushed by staff to order although resturant wasn't that busy, other than that staff were friendly and helpful. Will definately return and recommend to friends.

This place always looks packed out the door with bookings necessary. Good sign huh? Apparently not...its because its cheap! 2 main meals for £10 and 2 desserts for £5. The food is average pub food, the kind of stuff you could make yourself at home. Limited vegetarian options. On the plus side, the atmosphere was nice and the staff were all very friendly!

For the price you pay its very very good, fast service and a good place of food.. A great choice of dishes and specials on show at the day on the way in. Will be more that happy to eat there again.

You only get what you pay for as far as food goes, and this place does not serve very nice food. It is either cold, over cooked, eg need a hacksaw to cut the chicken! Was I'll for days after eating here. Pity about the food as this used to be a great venue many years ago. It is nice to see someone trying to bring life back to this old building, but do something to improve the food and it will help. Surprisingly it can be busy some days, but I hear many people don't return because food is not that good.
