The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Scotland

Called in on a Saturday for a quick bite before heading on to Gourock. My wife had pie, chips and beans. The pie was very ordinary and the chips had burnt ends. My Sweet Chilli wrap was nothing special - the chicken felt like it was pre-digested and the sweet Chilli sauce insipid.

This review only relates to the bar in this establishment. We were actually looking for somewhere to have lunch, but unfortunately food was not available. There were few other customers but we did stay and have some drinks. There does not appear to be any recent reviews, but we felt that the lack of atmosphere in the bar during our visit and comparatively dark decor would not encourage us to return.

Heerlijk ontbeten. Jammer alleen dat de openingstijden niet duidelijk zijn. De ene dag om 8 uur open. De volgende dag niet. Maar heerlijk ontbeten toen we er terecht konden.

We had a nice evening here. We’re expecting a bit more based on website and reviews. It was a bit crowded and not as cozy as we thought it would be. The food was good. We had hoped for more seafood as the online menu shows this but the night we were there they did not offer much. However. Everything tasted great and the staff was friendly.

Staff both attentive and friendly. Lovely quiet comfortable place to enjoy a drink or an excellent coffee.

Fuimos a tomar café y pastel como había oído que hacen opciones sin gluten. Se sentó y pidió cafés y pidió pastel sin gluten. Se le informó que no tenían nada sin gluten. Realmente no debería tener opciones en el menú que no tienen. Tenía un café que estaba bien, pero nada especial. No me pareció el lugar más acogedor tampoco.

Had breakfast here with my family. The food and coffee is very nice. What really surprises however is the wilful, almost aggressive, disregard for environmental responsibility. Most people eat and drink at the big table in the cafe. Yet you can’t have a coffee in a cup, it has to be in a disposable container. If you buy a drink in a glass bottle there is no glass recycling, just general waste. You have to take the bottle with you to recycle elsewhere (and to be fair Callander has a sophisticated recycling infrastructure, this cafe just does not avail of it). This pretty large corporation (two hotels, cafes around Scotland including 2 in Edinburgh) talks of being embedded in nature/the outdoors. You would think, given the premium prices, paying someone to wash mugs might not be too much to ask.

We just wanted a light lunch before the ferry journey. We ordered BBQ chicken wraps with salad. What we got was 2 very small curried chicken wraps with a garnish not a salad. Inedible for me as I don't eat curry, my partner ate both which was equivalent to a normal pub lunch wrap. At over £30.00 a total rip off. They have a monopoly as there is nowhere else to eat nearby.

Great food and service, glad we stopped by. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome and provided some guidance on traveling on the island.

I cut through the station on my way to work and used to go there all the time for a coffee and one barista in particular always remembered me and was always nice and cheerful and friendly (think his name is Lewis). I had not been for over six months and am now drinking less coffee but I went back the other week and to my delight (baring in mind all the customers that they will get in a busy train station each day) Lewis remembered me and gave me the same warm friendly greeting

La primera vez que visito aquí después de buscar un lugar que hizo un asado pasadas las 5 pm. Visité el 27 de octubre con mis dos hijos pequeños, mi esposo y mi padre. Estaba corriendo un poco más tarde y llamó por teléfono para informarles y eran muy serviciales y se movieron ligeramente más tarde. Las opciones para el menú del mercado eran excelentes Me sentí y el menú fue explicado a fondo y el camarero (lo siento no me dieron su nombre) era tan servicial y tenía una gran charla con mis dos chicas. El tamaño de las porciones era increíble y la comida era de calidad increíble. Mis hijos tenían el menú de niños y uno tenía un cursor de tres con una gran elección para ellos. Las bebidas eran fabulosas también. Todo el personal era súper amable e incluso los chefs estaban involucrados en la charla con mis dos chicas, que realmente disfrutaron ser parte de ella. No puedo esperar para volver y experimentar el nuevo menú que viene. El personal y la comida son un crédito absoluto a este restaurante.

Terrible.. A while since I was here and won't be back in a hurry. Nosey staff as well... Save money and go to Wetherspoons instead!

Very small café in Edinburgh centre, very few tables inside. We found a seat and we enjoyed the soup and sandwich. The staff is quite friendly, the coffee is good, the espresso a bit too long. Good place to eat something at a reasonable price.

Wow. £ 4. 90 por una pequeña taza de chocolate caliente. Y estaba tan sucio allí también. Estaba pegado en la mesa, las ventanas sucias, polvo por todas partes. El personal muy joven (supongo que los alumnos que trabajan después de la escuela y fin de semana) era amable.
