Was there for afternoon tea. Nice environment and friendly staff. Everything was good except the service which was very slow.

Got two mega breakfast looked guntill I was halfway through it and a big long black hair was in my mouth my son found a smaller one in his plate the staff member wee complained to saiddo you whant another tea or coffee she also said that the two guys in the kitchen had shaved heads will not be back have

The food was delicious and the meal was Awesome to I love the beef burger and the chicken tempura starter love it and the drinks where good as well and the Only things I want to say the services on Asking if we wanted more drinks where not so good that what am going to say the waitress did not ask us During hour meal if like any more drinks Quite disappointed. The waitress could have prevented it from happening and we have to ask one of waiter for more drinks not good service on that part. But apart from that all in all the meal and the drinks dessert was awesome it was a family day night out because I was on holiday service was good and meal was delightful. But the waitress that was serving us from the start on asking for more Drink not so good.but me and my family will be again soon and my partner as well.

La comida aquí era realmente bueno, sin embargo, tuvimos una experiencia terrible con un miembro del personal que me ha pospuesto de volver. Por supuesto, dije que esto era solo un malentendido, ya que no tenía mi recibo y solo necesitaba la explicación y dar las gracias. Esto fue cuando un miembro del personal que no había estado involucrado en la conversación, o sirviendo a ningún cliente, habló agresivamente fuera de lugar. Me dijo, hablando por encima de sus colegas "dejen de ser tan americanos", lo que es un comentario confuso y no estoy seguro del motivo. Soy escocés con una etnia asiática, sin embargo, independientemente de si realmente pensó que yo era americano o no, este es un comentario inaceptable para hacer a un cliente, especialmente porque solo estaba preguntando. Respondí, conmocionado, en tono tranquilo "no hay necesidad de ser grosero" mientras mantenía una conversación con sus compañeros, a lo que él replicó anímicamente "no estoy siendo grosero, tú sí". Sus colegas respondieron "Scott déjalo, está bien" y afortunadamente fueron muy comprensivos sobre la confusión con el cambio y se disculparon por no explicar por qué el cambio no fue el esperado. Además de esto, me había ofrecido a esperar para recibir el cambio correcto en lugar de recibir un extra. En general no me sentiría cómodo regresando ya que el comportamiento del otro miembro del personal era realmente innecesario e irrespetuoso. Puedo ver por qué estaba en la estación de café y no atendía a los clientes en absoluto. ¿Y advirtiendo a todos los americanos que quizá no sean bienvenidos aquí? Gran pub acogedor, con comida sabrosa y buena música. Lo mejor fue el servicio. La joven que nos atendió fue absolutamente fantástico, tan amable, atento y eficiente. He estado en restaurantes de 5 estrellas y no tuve tan buen servicio. Todo el personal era muy amable y profesional. ¡Creo que hemos encontrado un nuevo local!

We were looking to somewhere to bring the kids for dinner so checked this bar out earlier in the evening but they went with MacDonalds so my wife am I came back for pizza and beers. We tried a few different beers and some were not to our taste but others were excellent. We went with both the Haggis pizza and garlic bread (which turned out to be garlic pizza). Great place to enjoy drinks and pizza. Couldn’t see anything around about the history of the building but maybe I didn’t look hard enough.

Visited for the first time with a group of local hospitality managers, the venue was lovely. The staff were weirdly rude and almost confrontational. We were advised upon ordering drinks that the venue closed in 30 minutes and said no problem we were just after 1 drink. 4 minutes after ordering our drinks, the music was then turned off and lights were turned up to full. The bar staff then started putting the chairs on every table more than 20 minutes prior to closing and even asked people to move and reached over a table full of people to turn off a lamp so they could close. We all weren't sure if any management was in place but all found it extremely rude and found the staff hostile and would suggest changing the opening times or closing process as it is not normal to make 5 tables feel unwelcome enough to finish their drinks so quickly and leave with that sort of attitude from staff. Disappointing as the venue itself is lovely.

The desserts and the service were absolutely amazing! My friend and I were searching for a dessert place to pop into during the rain. We stopped by only to realise they open in 20 minutes. An employee noticed us looking at the menu and invited us inside despite it still being closed, and encouraged us to order whenever we were ready as they were almost set up for service. This attitude made my day and it felt extremely inviting. Thank you to the guys that worked today and made this rainy day much better!

Came in for drinks, great bar with a good beer list. Will definitely be back.

Amazing venue food is always outstanding and there's a carvery on Sundays. The bar is always full of laughter with a cosy pleasant atmosphere. Staff are always polite and willing to help. If you haven't tried I highly recommend you do. If heading to the carvery call and book in advance to avoid disappointment. All round it's a 5 star from me and my family

Best hash browns, nice coffee, very quick and cheap.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had. We had the loaded croissant and maple bacon pancake, and the Terry’s hot chocolate and americano. All excellent. The place is nice, clean and has a nice homely feel.

Great coffee and always the best service from staff.

2nd visit wasn’t as good as first. The place was cold and the haggis on sourdough, was not actually on sourdough. Staff were polite and friendly.
