Went for a carvery on a Sunday. Let me start by saying the food was actually really decent. I would go back for the food. The service on the other hand although polite was just way too slow. We actually had to go and get someone so we could order a dessert nearly 30 minutes after finishing our carvery and in the 2 hours we were there only managed to order 2 drinks. The meat and sides at the carvery were nice and you got plenty. The chef cut the meats well and gave you as much as you wanted which was really good. The crispy potato skin started was actually very very good.

Great service and the food was good too.

Great place for pub food, portions are large so you can always ask for smaller if available

Sadly the service wasn't great. After taking our orders and writing them down. They delivered my three friends meals and not mine, 10mins later they realised I was still waiting?? Then came up and asked what I had ordered?? I then had to wait some time before my food finally arrived and by that time my friends food was cold, sadly.

Went to try the carvery as had read great reviews about it. The food was A+ roast beef and all the trimmings, so tasty, great service and lovely staff. It was extremely busy, which to me shows how good it is. Can't wait to come back.

Carvery is amazing 🤩 great value too. Recommend a visit here. So much choice and something for everyone. Traditional carvery and also steak pie and pasta dishes available on the carvery menu. Really good food.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a Sunday carvery with Stephen Donaldson and Morgan his fiancée I would thoroughly recommend it the food was great the service was second to none.

Food and service was excellent.

We had heard a lot of good things about this place so decided to give it a try. Food was really nice but if I had to be picky I'd say the chicken pakora was very chewy and quite tough. Apart from that the staff who dealt with us were lovely. There was about 8-10 flies above the doorway to the bar area but that's not the staff or hotels fault. It could get annoying depending where you sit tho.

We used the Royal Oak Alloa mobile bar for our wedding Venue. The owners and staff were fantastic, plenty of choice of drinks, a great setup, plenty staff on the night, all our guests got a great service. Prices were very reasonable aswell. Highly recommended!! Stayed for one night. All the staff were friendly and very helpful however, the bedroom needs a deep clean - disappointing.

Booked a table for the carvery today after hearing great reviews...definitely not disappointed, great selection of meat and vegetables to choose from and all tasted amazing. Great service as well, we will be back (now in a food coma) 😉

I'm part of quite a large family so 8 of us (3 kids and 5 adults) arrived here without booking and without much of a problem we were given comfortable seats. We all got the carvery and the man who carved and served our meat upstairs had a lot of banter and gave us great portions. The vegetables and gravy were fantastic too! The cauliflower cheese wasn't the best unfortunately. We got dessert afterwards, the Oreo Sundae was brilliant and there was lots of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The drinks were as expected for any restaurant. Overall, service was quick, the servers were lovely and polite, the food was really nice and the restaurant is a lovely place to take the family on the weekends. I would highly recommend this place.

First time at the Royal Oak for a lunch booking. Waitress with black hair who "greeted" us on arrival was extreamly rude. So we just turned around and went to Weatherspoons instead. I would NOT recommend the Royal Oak Alloa.

We had a party of 26 and all the staff was amazing. Food was wonderful. Thank you to all the staff that helped to make our family reunion one of the best times we've had.

Lovely place to stay excellent bar good beer stayed here for the night as were attending wedding at inglewood house Beds were so comfy and a nice scottish breakfast could not fault this place staff r really freindly !

VERY Noisy and, overpriced, not the place for a quiet meal with friends. Bar and restaurant staff very pleasant and efficient though.

Have been here twice. Once for a meal a few years ago and the food was phenomenal. I was also here after a funeral and the service was excellent.

Wonderful wholesome food ! Good value ! Next time will go when it's a bit quieter as the service wasn't the best but everything else makes up for that !

Me and the wife decided to go here last minute for tea. We went for the combo starter which was great. We both had the Highlander Burger as a main, this was absolutely delicious and filling. I had the Caramel Apple Betty with ice cream and my wife had the sticky toffee pudding with custard and both were to die for. Will definatley be back. The staff are very friendly and they tend to your every need. Very quick service and staff are always smiling and very pleasant. I was astonished at how fair the prices were we got a 3 course meal and 3 drinks for under £60. Absolutely fantastic place very clean and cosy.

Thought it looked a nice pub to grab a bite to eat. Was told to find a table and given menus, but then when we went to order were told that "We're not serving food tonight as we've got a party of 30 coming in". So why give us a menu?? Total waste of our time.

Would have gave this 3 stars but but recently put in a takeaway food order for collection over the phone and when I collected it was told it was going to be over 40 quid. I immediately questioned this and was told it was restraunt prices even tho I was collecting a takeaway.... Obviously at no point what so ever was anyone planning on telling me this. I told the waitress that was not good enough and I felt I was being forced to pay that because yous had already made it.. They looked at me in disgust. I felt totally taken advantage off and deffo won't be back

Got a take away from here to collect asked on the phone to see how much it would be and repeatedly got a completely different price from what I calculated online from there online meanu they tried to over charge me by more than 15 pounds...I then explained I was getting a different price from take away menu for the woman I spoke with to be quite frankly rude and kept saying sorry as no where has updated the price wither it be online or in restaurant massively has put me off and very disappointed wouldn't recommend going here if they can't even sort prices out then try to over charge you with 15 pounds.

Very disappointed in customer service after being given a menu that clearly said £8.45 for a cheese burger but was later charged £10.95. After inquiring to the waitress upon providing payment and being handed the receipt that showed each item ordered with prices levied, the waitress momentarily left to check and returned to say that the price was £10.95. I said that if I had known that it was that price, I might have ordered something else. I was certain of what I remembered seeing on the menu and before leaving, paused at the front desk to look at one of the menus being cleaned by the bar, which indeed confirmed that I had in fact seen £8.45 for the cheese burger. I pointed out the mistake to the waitress, and she just apologized, and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes, that would be appreciated...and a few moments later, another associate arrived and asked what I needed. I explained that I was overcharged. She asked where I got the menu from, I had to repeat myself twice, for clarification that the menu was given to me by the waitress. She saw the price on the menu sitting on the nearby bar but just kept apologizing that it was an old menu and the prices have increased recently, then she threw away that menu, and began to search through the stack of menus. She found several other menus with that price and tossed them into a nearby trash can as well, offering me no refund or resolution whatsoever for their mistake. I very politely said that I was not happy with being overcharged, but my concern was met with repeated dismissal apologies and nothing more. I then left to catch up with the rest of my party who had already gone ahead toward the car. I would strongly recommend avoiding this establishment. Plan ahead, and make a reservation at any other nearby restaurant instead, to prevent our situation where everywhere else is booked and hunger forces you to settle for this restaurant. A restaurant that does not care about proper service and accurate menu prices, won't make amends even after admitting to their mistake and to overcharging for their food menu items because they presumably gave us an outdated menu; a place that believes that subpar treatment of its patrons is acceptable, for what amounts to mediocre food. A restaurant that for obvious reasons had immediate available seating. Tho I must say that the french fries were served quite hot. And the purple tartan carpeting was rather pretty; but of course we did not go there for the floor coverings. hi went with four friends last night,great relaxed vibe to the restaurant.we all did the excellent seniors menu .2 courses for £11.95 .food was excellent food grub.excellent vegetarian curry for one of us.2 had great ham salads.me and another friend had the macaroni cheese which was just right.really good accompanied by great coleslaw lovely chips and very fresh salad,i had a stunning toffee cheesecake as my 2nd course.highly reccommend.had a few hours outside in the beer garden .
