Booked lunch for my son's birthay. Delighted to discover we had a private room with a lovely fire to warm us up. The menu read well with the choice of desserts a particular delight to me. All the dishes we had were really tasty and beautifully presented. The price of the three course lunch represented excellent value for money and the wine list provided a good choice without breaking the bank. Highly recommend you pay The Grange Inn a visit soon - we shall certainly be back

Came up to Edinburgh for the weekend staying at the Village Hotel where they recommended heading over to Leith for dinner. It was a last minute thing so phoned to see if they could squeeze us in on a Saturday night which they could @8pm. On arrival I was, to be perfectly honest, a bit dismayed as the restaurant looked tiny and I was worried! We were early, so had to wait outside for a few minutes so used the time to nip over the road to buy some wine. Pretty much bang on 8pm we had our table albeit next to the door which was a bit cold, but she promised to move us as soon as she could and she did! I can honestly say, that my initial apprehension was completely un-founded, the food was absolutely fantastic, as was the service and was quite possibly the best Indian I have ever had. Definitely recommend this restaurant, but make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment!

Excellent place for coeliacs as everything is gluten free. The food is really nice and tasty and it's reasonably priced for the quality and there's a very good selection of rolls, paninis, salads, soups, etc plus potato scones, rolls, crisps, biscuits etc for takeaway. It's great to be in a place where almost everyone has something in common and you can sense the camaraderie ! Very efficient, polite, helpful and friendly service too. I visit quite often and will gladly continue to do so !

You really have to wonder at a couple of the recent negative reviews, if the people writing the reviews, have a clue what it is like trying to run a small business in a remote part of Scotland especially given the difficult economic situation. This is a lovely cafe run with pride, high standards, and dare I say passion, by Toni Vastano and his family and the food and drink is fantastic and the cafe deserves support. Lovely coffee, cakes, bread, soups, etc. The cafe is cosy inside with fabulous artworks by Ann Vastano, a highly talented artist. The outside terrace is lovely, too weather permitting. I have no hesitation in recommending this cafe.

We visited yesterday and was very disappointed with food. We ordered fish & chips what we got was 4 fish goujons and frozen chips with salad which was mostly packet lettuce 1 pint orange juice halfpint shandy and 1 mocha. Price £49 00. Not worth the money

Pulse Plantbased Homecooking. Vielen Dank

The pies are always warm and fresh. There's an excellent selection of pies including vegan options. One of the best cafés in Porty for vegans actually. The customer service is exceptional too. The coffees are delicious. Do bring your own cup if you don't want a single use one. Great value and highly recommended!
