Mis amigos y yo fuimos a tomar unos cócteles y comida antes de un concierto. El menú de cócteles era bueno, pero el camarero se ofreció a hacer algunos que no estaban en el menú. La comida era muy sabrosa. Tuvimos dos platos pequeños cada uno y algunos bocadillos del menú antes de que llegara la comida. Todos nos sentimos satisfechos ya que la comida es deliciosa. También hay platos más grandes en el menú. Después del concierto volvimos a tomar un cóctel final para celebrar mi cumpleaños , de nuevo tuvimos un servicio fabuloso y nada parece demasiado problema para el personal. El lugar tiene un gran ambiente y decoración y lo más importante para una mujer los baños estaban limpios! Creo que The Tippling House y su personal merecen 5 estrellas.

Bar was empty on Sat 28th Dec at 2305 hrs , we approached to enter and the bouncer advised no entry as the bar was closed , we are an older couple , pretty sensible and would not expect entry refusal for being in any drunken condition - dissatisfied to say the least and the website should be updated with a closing time of 2300 hrs instead of midnight !!!

Possibly the worst chip roll I've ever experienced. Chips totally dry, obviously left in the warmer for far too long.......which would be OK, if they were warm. Roll fell to pieces when I tried to pick it up. And to cap it off 15p/portion of sauce. I won't be back, used to be a good chippy now it appears get as much money as you can. Which don't mind.....IF the food reflects it!

Although the food was lovely I cannot believe they charged me 40p for some hot water to top up my tea,which had gone cold. Never ever been charged for hot water anywhere else.

Great place with a good selection of unique foods you can't find elsewhere. Best eggs I've ever had.

The staff were really lovely despite the fact that we were a large party who probably kinda loud and stayed past closing time. (Not intentional). This place is not cheap but its really good quality food and the portions are decent to say the least. As a family of mostly vegetarians, most people at our table were eating the Milton Mac. Which is a pretty good Mac and cheese, not gonna lie. There isn’t a huge selection for vegetarians but the options are definitely there, and their falafel burger also looked pretty banging. Their negroni was probably one of the best things I’ve tasted in a looong time. And it’s massive. Definitely worth the money. I’m itching to go back.

This place has gone down hill. Used to be really good but past few times it has been poor. Visited today; soup was cold, coffee was cold and toastie was just a sandwich which had been slightly warmed up. Won't be back which is such a shame as used to visit regularly.

November 2024 I took a ring in to be re-sized. It was completed ahead of time and the end result is beautiful. It looks brand new rather than the 140+ years it has been in existence. Thank you Sinclairs, a great job. Update. January 2025 Had to take my ring back in as the diamond had fallen out. The setting had basically worn away over the decades I have had it. A new diamond and a brand new setting. I think it looks better now than ever. Thank you for a great job.
